Abstract

The lifter, having a sloping upper surface and designed to be fixed to a frame cross-member to prevent a door or window from sagging on its hinges when in the closed position, is made with a slot (14) to receive an ironwork component (15) such as a fastening catch on the door or window. The lifter is also fitted with a coupling (22) having at least one tongue (23, 23A), e.g. of a synthetic material, to engage with the catch.

Description

The invention relates to a lifting device for opening door, window or the like, provided capable of being fixed, by appropriate means, on a lower rebate cross sleeping frame, this lifting device comprising a ramp of upward lifting in the closing direction of the opening along which is able to support the latter in coming to close on its sleeping frame.

The present invention relates to the field of hardware building.

We already know a number of devices lift whose function is precisely to readjust relative to a sleeping frame, the positioning of an opening when you come to close it on the latter. Such lifting device thus makes it possible to balance the play of rebate on the periphery of this opening. It still allows relieve some of the weight of this opening the joints fixed to the frame, when the door is closed or window. Not only such adjustment means can not prevent deformations to which we have just referred, but, in in addition, if they are of great use for an operator-fitter which, when installing a door or window has, by their intermediate, the possibility of adjusting, with precision, opening it relative to the sleeping frame, the user does not have always necessary information that would allow him to intervene, himself, later, on these same means of adjustment to readjust this positioning.

It is for all of these reasons that we appeal, in particularly for large and large openings, with lifting devices of which there are different forms of production.

In this regard, the design lifting devices very often consist of an accessory part that we just fix in rebate of the lower cross member of the frame sleeping and acting like a wedge. More specifically, a such lifting device includes a lifting ramp ascending in the closing direction of the sash and on which comes to bear on the lower cross member of this last when closing it on the sleeping frame. Ultimately, laying one, possibly two, lifting devices at a door, window or similar, obviously constitutes an operation extra for the carpenter, so he will look to get rid of it as soon as possible at the expense of quality of use of this door or window over time.

Once again, it will be recalled that such lifting are rarely necessary after they have been carried out the different settings when installing the carpentry, their use only of interest in the long term, to avoid progressive collapse of the sash in its sleeping frame.

There are still many other types of lifting devices ensuring the correct positioning over time of a opening with respect to its sleeping frame. For example, there is known to equip the front upright with a leaf of a lever pivoting at its upper end around an axis of horizontal rotation substantially perpendicular to the front edge of this opening. Under the impetus of an elastic return means, this lever is pushed back towards the frame, so when closing the opening on the latter, the end lower of said lever comes, initially, to engage in a keeper arranged in accordance with the sleeping frame. Then, continuing the closing maneuver, this end lower lever comes to rest on this strike for, gradually and by rotation around its pivot axis, raise the opening and guarantee, in the final closing phase, its good positioning in relation to its sleeping frame.

If such lifting devices are particularly efficient in their operation and provide some convenience of using the door or window insofar as the lifting action occurs with greater progressiveness, their design is relatively complex and their pose represents a number of additional operations for Carpenter. Also, lifting devices thus designed do not come to equip a door or window only in good cases specific.

In the same vein, it is known by the document EP-A-0748913 a lifting device, comprising a bearing surface secured to the front upright of the frame dormant and with which is able to cooperate a body of lifting fixed on the amount of the opening.

More particularly, the bearing surface comprises an element socket likely to be engaged, from the top, in a retaining piece, otherwise symmetrical in shape by relative to a horizontal median plane, allowing its mounting at left, just like right on the door frame, window or similar.

Ultimately, as part of an embodiment particular, the support element can be defined by a striker roller, such a keeper comprising under these conditions and at through its symmetrical configuration with respect to its plane horizontal median, two U-shaped recesses oriented, respectively, up and down. The bottom one is more particularly intended to receive a locking, roller type, corresponding to a lever associated with the opening, while the recess in "U" in part upper receives the interlocking member associated with the surface support.

Ultimately, the subject of the present invention relates to a lifting device of the first type described above, of design, therefore, very simple and whose fixing in rebate of a sleeping frame can be carried out by a carpenter with great ease and without it forced to perform an additional fixing operation compared to the one he comes to perform normally when it equips a carpentry, door or window type, all of its articulation and locking fittings.

To this end, the invention relates to a lifting device for opening of doors, windows or the like, designed to be fixed, by appropriate means, on a lower cross member and in the rebate of a sleeping frame, this lifting device comprising an ascending lifting ramp in the direction of opening of the opening and along which is able to take support from the latter by closing on said frame dormant, characterized in that it comprises a cutout reception of a fitting element, such as a keeper, provided suitable to be reported in the rebate of said sleeping frame and constituting, substantially, said fixing means in rebate of this lifting device.

As can be seen from the characteristics of a lifting according to the invention, this no longer constitutes a additional piece to be fixed independently on the sleeping frame door or window carpentry, but a room that one comes, as the case may be, to associate with another, in particular with a keeper, intended to be brought in anyway on this sleeping frame.

Furthermore, insofar as this lifting device includes a cutout for receiving a keeper, for example the keeper intended to accommodate the emerging end of a operating rod and / or the latch of a lock, this device lifting can extend, if necessary, on either side of this striker to act on each leaf of a window which has two.

As shown in the figures in the attached drawing, the present invention relates to the field of fittings for doors, windows or the like. It relates, in particular, to a lifting device 1 for a leaf 2, 2A of such door, window or the like 3.

This device 1 is provided capable of being fixed, by means 4 appropriate, on the lower cross member 5 and in the rebate of the sleeping frame 6.

As can be seen, more particularly, in FIG. 2, such a lifting device 1 comprises a lifting ramp 7 which is ascending in the direction 8 of closing the opening 2; 2A. Thus, by closing the latter on its sleeping frame 6, its lower cross member 9 is able, at first, to build on this lifting ramp 7, then move the along the latter until this opening 2 is totally closed.

Note, in this regard, that said lifting ramp 7 is extended, beyond its ascending part 10, by a platform support 11 on which ultimately rests this opening 2; 2A in its closed position.

Such a lifting device thus relieves a part of the weight of the opening 2; 2A hinge fittings connecting it to the frame 6.

As will be explained further in the description, the lifting device 1, according to the invention, can intervene on each of the openings 2; 2A of a door or window 3 which has two as shown in Figure 1.

Note that this lifting device 1 also includes a base 12 configured to allow it to take support in rebate 13 of the lower cross member 5 corresponding to the sleeping frame 6, in the upper part of this base 12, the latter being, precisely, configured as a lifting ramp 7, with its ascending part 10 and the seat platform 11.

According to the invention, such a lifting device 1 comprises another cutout 14 defined so as to receive a fitting element 15, such as a keeper which is received, normally, in rebate 13 the lower cross member 5 of the frame sleeping 6.

Thus, it is very common to equip the door 2 with a door, window or the like 3, of a lever bolt or lever bolt taking rebate position of the front upright 16 of this opening 2. A such cremone bolt 17 comprises, under these conditions, a rod of operation 18 extending above and / or below the housing central housing the mechanism of such a fitting of locking. Due to the foregoing features, the lift 1 can, in a door or window configuration 3 to two leaves 2, 2A, extending on either side of said strike 15 and thus contribute to the lifting of each of these leaves or opening 2, 2A.

It has been represented in the figures of the attached drawing, in particular in FIGS. 2 and 6, a keeper 15 of double configuration. Thus, this keeper 15 has a first light 20 for receiving the lower end projection 19 of an operating rod 18 corresponding to a locking fitting, of the bolt type 17 associated with one of the opening 2, as well as a second light 20A, arranged symmetrically with respect to a transverse median plane 21. This second light 20A is intended to accommodate an organ locking able to appear protruding at the end lower of the amount before 16A of the second opening 2A and allowing, precisely, to keep it locked while that the first one is open. This locking member is very often present in the form of a lock, which, like a cremone bolt, takes position in a notch made in rebate of the front upright corresponding to this second opening.

According to the invention, such a fitting element 15, here in the form of a waste, still constitutes, substantially, the means of attachment 4 in rebate of the lifting device 1 on said lower cross member 5 of the frame 6. lifting device 1 comprises connecting means 22 provided capable of making it integral with said fitting element 15.

In the context of the embodiment illustrated in the figures of attached drawing, these connecting means 22 consist of at least an interlocking tongue 23, 23A extending under the device lifting 1 and provided capable of coming to engage, by interlocking, in one and / or the other of the openings 20, 20A of said keeper 15. Consequently, in this case, this connection between the lifting device 1 and keeper 15 can be provided after have positioned and fixed it on the frame.

Such connecting means 22 can borrow still others embodiments, in particular those of means attachment so that after having installed the fixing means 24, such as screws or the like, making it possible to make integral this fitting element 15 of the sleeping frame 6 and engaged on this fitting element 15 the lifting device 1, this does not can tilt around its longitudinal axis under the impulse an opening 2, 2A, when it comes to bear on the guide rail 7.

In particular, such connecting means 22, in particular under form of attachment means, can be defined by one or several retaining lugs 25, integral with the device linkage 1 and provided capable of cooperating with the body 26 of this fitting element 15.

Note that such retaining tabs 25 which may, if necessary if necessary, intervene in combination with connecting means 22 as described above, may constitute, substantially, shims to adjust in height this lifting device 1 on the lower cross member 5 of the sleeping frame 6. Also, such retaining tabs 25 can still be defined as breakable in nature, so that when installation, the operator-editor can, possibly and depending of the constraints encountered, remove these retaining tabs 25.

Finally, at least one of these retaining lugs 25 can be able to cooperate with the profile defining the crosspiece lower 5 of the frame 6, as visible in particular in Figure 2. Very often, in fact, such a profile has a groove 26 also used for anchoring said keep 15.

To prevent this lifting device from coming out of the keep 15 and preferably in combination with interlocking tabs 23, 23A, and / or the retaining tabs 25, one or more retaining tabs may be provided, in particular elastic, 24, 24A capable of being engaged under constraint, in the opening (s) 20, 20A of this keeper 15. Such retaining tabs 24, 24A, as means of link 22, can also constitute means of indexing to facilitate the correct positioning of the lifting device 1 on said keep 15.

Note that the interlocking tabs 23, 23A or even the retaining tabs 24, 24A, as well as any tabs 25 can be made in one piece with the lifting device 1 which, in particular, is susceptible to be made of synthetic material.
