      shearable and/or retractable retaining means (20, 21 ; 29A, 30A) designed capable of preventing the tilting of the lever (3) in either one of the directions of pivoting (22, 23), respectively, so that the suppression and/or the retraction of one of said retaining means (20, 21; 29A, 30A) causes the lever (3) to tilt in a determined direction,
      or fixing means (40) at the level of the support plate (4) including at least an intermediate fixing point (46), which one (42) of the ends of the elastic restoring means (12) is capable of co-operating with, in order to cause the action of the latter on the lever (3) to be neutralised and to maintain the latter in the extension of said support plate (4).
    2. Lifting device according to claim 1, characterised in that the elastic restoring means (12) are in the form of a pin-shaped spring (24) comprising two legs (25, 26) maintained under stress between two retaining pins (27, 28) defining the two shearable and/or retractable retaining means (20, 21).
    3. Lifting device according to claim 2, characterised in that the two shearable and/or retractable retaining pins (27, 28) are associated with the support plate (4) or the lever (3), the latter or said support plate (4) receiving two coupling catches (29, 30) with one of which co-operates one of the legs (25, 26) of the spring (24), once one of the retaining pins (27) or (28) has been sheared and/or retracted.
    4. Lifting device according to claim 1, characterised in that the fixing means (40) are also defined by at least two fixing points (44, 45) so determined on the support plate (4) that bringing said end (41) of the elastic restoring means (12) into cooperation with one or the other, respectively, of these fixing points (44, 45) results into their putting under stress, which results into causing the lever (3) to tilt in a direction (22) or in an opposite direction (23), respectively.
    5. Lifting device according to claim 4, characterised in that the elastic restoring means (12) are defined by a spiral or helical spring (43).

Lifting device according to claim 1, characterised in that the elastic restoring means (12) are in the form of a pin-shaped spring (24A) provided with two legs (25A, 26A) maintained slightly under stress between two elements (26A, 27A) forming a stop and associated with the support plate (4) or the lever (3), the two retractable retaining means (29A, 30A) being defined by two coupling catches the lever (3) includes or, as the case may be, the support plate (4) capable of being positioned between the two legs (25A, 26A) of the spring (24A) in order to ensure maintaining the lever (3) in the extension of the support plate (4) and, on the other hand, either of which is capable of co-operating with either one of the legs (25A, 26A), respectively, of the spring (24A) in order to ensure the tilting of the lever (3) in a direction (22) or in the opposite direction (23).

Lifting device according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that it defines a device impeding an accidental operation (50) capable of preventing the displacement of an operating rod (56) of a locking fitting, such as an espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, associated with the sash (7) of a door, window or the like, this as long as said sash (7) is not closed against its sash-frame, said device impeding an accidental operation (50) being defined, on the one hand, by the lever (3) and, on the other hand, by a shaft of pivoting (51) defining, substantially, the hinging means (14) of this lever (3), this shaft of pivoting (51) being extended through an opening, on the one hand, in the support plate (4) and, on the other hand, in a face-plate (52) against which the latter is inserted, the free end of said shaft of pivoting (51) including a retaining tongue (53) maintained inserted in a slot (54) accordingly provided for in an operating rod (56) moving behind said face-plate (52), at the level of this slot (54) being provided for side setbacks (57, 58) which said retaining tongue (53) is capable of co-operating with in order to immobilise in translation the operating rod (56) when the sash (7) is in any of its opening positions with respect to the sash-frame.
    8. Lifting device according to claim 7, characterised in that it includes means for temporarily immobilising an operating rod of an espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, said means being in the form of a shearable stud (59) defining, on at least one of the lateral sides (60) of the retaining tongue (53), a boss (60) capable of co-operating with one of the side setbacks (57, 58) in the slot (54) of the operating rod (56) in order to temporarily immobilise the latter.
