Definitions
- the invention relates to a fixed passenger boarding bridge according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Moving circular passenger boarding bridges are known on the apron, whereby telescopic tunnels and cabin can be pivoted about a supporting leg rotunda by means of circular arch chassis and adapted to the door sill height of the aircraft by means of a lifting mechanism.
- the cabin is arranged rotatably about a vertical axis at the end of the tunnel on the aircraft side (cf. EP 302 709 A1, US 30 60 471 A1 and US 57 61 757 A1).
- US 57 61 757 A1 also describes a free telescopic bridge that can be moved on the apron, the cabin of which is provided with a cabin floor specially designed for docking onto commuter aircraft.
- part of the cabin floor is horizontal under the other part of the cabin floor slidable, so that a space is created for receiving the railing of the unfolded aircraft stairs.
- passenger boarding bridges movable on the apron, in which the telescopic tunnels which can be pivoted about a rotunda are arranged only slightly above the apron and the aircraft-side tunnel end can be moved up to the on-board aircraft stairs by means of landing gear and the passengers always the commuter aircraft Enter or leave unprotected via the on-board stairs.
- the problem with the state-of-the-art passenger boarding bridges is that, due to their free mobility and their comparatively difficult to maneuver mass when docking and undocking, the propeller, the on-board stairs or the banister are easily damaged.
- the on-board aircraft stairs are used in any case and thus there is no direct access to the aircraft at the threshold of the door, disabled passengers, for example, have no option, for example, of getting into and out of the aircraft directly with their wheelchair.
- the invention has for its object to propose a passenger boarding bridge, wherein the cabin can be driven directly to the bow door without any risk of damage to the engines, the on-board stairs or banisters.
- a stationary passenger boarding bridge is provided on the NOSEIN standing position, the tunnel telescoping towards the aircraft with a tunnel laterally, preferably parallel to the aircraft Aircraft taxi line, movable cross tunnel is provided, at the end of which the cabin is attached with a flexible canopy and a floor that is preferably fully or partially movable.
- the fixed design of the passenger boarding bridge with its movable components (telescope tunnel, cross tunnel and cabin), which can be easily and precisely controlled in fixed guideways due to its comparatively low mass, combined with the best possible view of the bridge driver on propellers, engines and on-board passenger stairs, reduces the risk of damage to the aircraft Passenger boarding bridge practically impossible.
- the transverse tunnel which is slidably attached to the inner tunnel, may have vertical walls at its end facing the engine, preferably bevelled at approximately 45 °, so that an additional safety distance from the propeller or engine is achieved and, at the same time, there is sufficient space for the maintenance personnel to inspect even when the passenger boarding bridge is docked Aircraft engine remains.
- one or more large windows are expediently arranged, under which the control panel is placed in such a way that the bridge driver has a good view of the engine through the windows and a good view through the fully glazed cabin sliding door View of the aircraft door or of the folded-out staircase door with its banister, as well as the canopy and the sliding floor with its elastic dampers that can be moved up to the door sill.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the fixed passenger boarding bridge with moving components retracted into the parking position telescope tunnel, cross tunnel and cabin as well as the commuter aircraft with propeller engine rolled into the parking position of the NOSEIN stand;
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the fixed passenger boarding bridge with its movable components extended towards the parked commuter aircraft with the on-board staircase door swung out.
- FIG. 1 clearly show the components of the passenger boarding bridge relevant to the invention.
- the telescopic inner tunnel 1 is completely moved into the outer tunnel 4 fastened to the fixed connecting web 3 by means of a cylinder 2 which is effective in both directions.
- lifting cylinders 2, 6 it is also possible to use other adjusting drives which are effective in both directions by means of roller chains, toothed racks, spindles and so on.
- the connecting web 23 is firmly connected to the apron via a supporting leg 7 and, with its connecting tunnel 8, forms the connection to the airport terminal.
- the movable part of the passenger boarding bridge is generally activated by means of a cylinder 9 already raised to the door sill height of the aircraft to be dispatched, the lifting cylinder being articulated on the one hand on the base plate 10 firmly connected to the apron and articulated under the outer tunnel 4.
- an adjusting drive provided with a spindle can optionally be provided.
- the flexible folding canopy 11 of the cabin 12 has been completely retracted, as has the cabin floor 13 with its protective railing 14, which can be moved laterally throughout.
- the control panel 16 is arranged below the large window 15 to assist the bridge driver to give the best possible view of the propeller engine.
- a light transition ramp 18 is placed next to window 15, which is required for the handling of aircraft with fold-out staircase doors and stair rails on both sides, as shown in FIG. 2.
- Figure 2 shows the passenger boarding bridge in the handling position. In this case, it is docked to an aircraft with a propeller engine and an open stair door with a railing on both sides.
- the bridge driver with the cabin floor 13 shifted laterally to the left first shifts the transverse tunnel 5 to the right to the propeller engine until the inner edge of the right side of the folding roof 11 also the outside of the unfolded right handrail, plus an approximately hand-wide safety distance, and then subsequently telescoped the inner tunnel 1 until the cabin floor 13 has applied to the aircraft with its elastic bumper 19.
- the cabin floor 13 with its protective railing 14 is pushed close to the outside of the left handrail 20, which can be done both by hand and by means of an adjustment drive.
- the transition ramp 18 is placed between the two banisters 20, 21. The transition ramp 18 remains unused in airplanes with fold-out staircase doors and only one railing 21 arranged on one side on the right.
