Definitions
- the invention relates to a paddle wheel arrangement for flat specimens, wherein subordinate the paddle wheel arrangement in web-processing rotary printing machines Folders is provided.
- EP 0 408 902 B1 relates to a device for laying out printed products.
- a rotary driven paddle wheel is provided in a printing machine an eccentrically mounted with respect to the paddle wheel in the same direction of rotation and with lower peripheral speed than the impeller driven wheel-shaped ejection arrangement assigned. Stops are included on the circumference of the ejection arrangement. With these, the shot into the pockets of the paddle wheel and in succession the relative speed between the stops and the pockets first on the Attacking printed products with a predetermined distance from the pockets pushed out. The number of attacks effective in ejection can be changed.
- paddle wheels are assigned two ejection wheels, the are positioned relative to each other in the circumferential direction.
- the ejection wheels have one sawtooth profile. Are there a sawtooth profile on the circumference of the ejection wheels Stops twisted in the circumferential direction by half a stop width, so a regular scale spacing can be started on successive specimens adjust this paddle wheel arrangement.
- the two ejection wheels are exactly in Phase to each other, so two are expelled from the pockets of the paddle wheels Copies placed one on top of the other and a stream of shingles on the delivery belt formed, in which two specimens lying exactly one above the other in regular Distance from the two previous copies lying exactly one above the other be interpreted.
- US 5,156,389 relates to a paddle wheel delivery with format-dependent adjustable Exemplary guides, each on the outermost paddle wheel disks, as well as on one or several middle paddlewheel disks arranged between the outer paddlewheel disks are provided. With these pivotably arranged product guides the copy display is adjusted to different widths to be processed become.
- the object of the invention is the geometries of flat specimens with different page numbers and basis weights Paddlewheel bags depending on the nature of the specimens to be displayed adapt.
- the pocket width of flat specimen-holding paddle-wheel pockets both the number of pages to be displayed as well as the basis weights or grammages of the respective substrate can be adjusted.
- the paddle wheel bags are narrowed in their pocket width so that the flat specimens made of substrates lower basis weight due to the supporting boundary surface and trailing Area, d. H. the limitation of the paddlewheel pockets, are performed much more closely. This allows fluttering or angling, as well as turning the corner specimens entering the infeed areas of the paddle wheel pockets at high speed Avoid lower grammages reliably.
- the paddlewheel disks can be rotated relative to each other, the pocket width can be optimal for a first printing material grammage and for one or more additional printing material grammages to adjust.
- the pocket widths are expanded or possibly narrowed to such an extent that the respective specimens enter the Paddle wheel bags is guaranteed.
- the two paddle wheel disks, which are adjustable relative to one another are coaxially received on a drive shaft and form a paddle wheel; of this paddle wheel arrangement can be placed side by side on the drive shaft be included evenly spaced.
- the endless circulation path of an ejection arrangement extends around the drive shaft consists of an endless band or chain that is in phase relative to the paddle wheel runs along and the specimens that have run into the paddle wheel pockets from these ejects as soon as the base of the pocket moves to one of the paddlewheels in phase Ejection elements meet.
- the relative movement of the paddlewheel disks creates a crescent-shaped retraction Area of one of the paddlewheel disks in the pockets of the other paddlewheel disk. This changes the center of the pocket from a first pocket width to a second pocket width reduced, so that a narrowing of the curved pocket course in the direction on the bag base essentially in the middle area of the paddle wheel bag he follows.
- the geometry of the pockets of the paddle wheel can thus be matched to the substrate adjust the folded copy individually.
- the locking between the relatively adjustable paddle wheel disks can be designed as a spring-loaded ball element, which in several locking positions snaps into the circumference of one of the paddlewheel disks and which one is selected Relative adjustment of the paddlewheel disks fixed to each other.
- the detents can be two or several pocket widths that can be selected depending on the basis weight of the printing material correspond. These are either preset manually or are part of the remote-controlled presetting set to order-specific.
- the paddlewheel arrangement according to the invention can be set on folders with or without puncturing used to fix the specimens, the web-processing rotations, be it commercial or newspaper printing presses.
- FIG. 1 shows the side view of a paddle wheel arrangement containing a plurality of paddle wheels above a conveyor belt carrying out ejected specimens.
- a paddle wheel delivery 1 becomes flat specimens 3 fed. These are transported in advance in the conveyor belt train 2 with the fold back 4, the open end 24 runs on.
- the conveyor belt train 2 opens above the paddle wheel delivery 1 and leads the copies 3 to the jointly received by a drive shaft 6 Paddle wheels 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 too.
- Paddle wheels 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 can also have more than four or fewer than four paddle wheels 5 on the drive shaft spaced apart.
- the specimen 3 is braked while entering the respective paddle wheel pocket 15 and upon further rotation of the impeller 5 by contact with the one driven in phase Ejection element 38 is conveyed out of the bucket wheel pocket 15.
- the Specimens 3 opposite their original direction of entry into the individual paddle wheel pockets 15, the Specimens 3 with their open ends 24 first on the top 27 of a delivery belt 9.
- a shingled stream of specimens 3 forms, between which Folded back 4 of the individual copies 3 forms a distance 8.
- the copies 3 extend over its width 7, 22 from one side of the delivery belt 9 to the opposite Page.
- the specimens 3 that have run into the individual paddle wheel pockets 15 are ejected via individual ejection elements 38. These are on a around the drive shaft 6 and a deflecting shaft 14 encircling belt or chain and cause further rotation of the paddle wheel 5.1 with the drive shaft 6 an ejection of the specimens 3 from the paddle wheel pocket 15.
- the fold back 4 comes into contact with the ejection elements 38, whereby the copies of the direction of rotation of the paddle wheel 5.1 opposite direction with further rotation of the paddle wheel disks 10, 11 about their Drive shaft 13 are pushed out of the pocket 15.
- the pockets 15 are set to a first pocket width 16, i. H. the two Paddlewheel disks 10, 11 are exactly in phase with one another, recognizable by the Blade tips 19 and 20 in alignment with one another in FIG. 1.
- the first impeller disk 10 has the Paddle wheel 5.1 has a larger diameter compared to the second paddle wheel disc 11; an inverse diameter ratio would also be conceivable.
- the Paddle wheel bag 15 is on the opposite side from a trailing surface 18 limited.
- the load-bearing surfaces 17 and 10 are trailing surface 18 of each paddle wheel disc 10, 11 exactly in phase and define thus a first pocket width 16 for specimens 3 higher basis weights or higher Page number.
- the individual copies 3 ejected from the paddle wheel pockets 15 arrive at the Top side 27 of the delivery belt 9, which rotates around deflection rollers 25 and 26.
- the Copies 3 arriving on the top 27 of the delivery belt 9 are folded with the fold back 4 forward continuously transported and a subsequent processing fed.
- the supporting surface 17 and the trailing surface 18 each with the Friction-reducing coatings can be provided that a deposit of paint, from Top and bottom 22 of copies 3 prevented.
- FIG. 2 shows the front view of a paddle wheel consisting of two paddle wheel disks.
- the two paddle wheel disks 10, 11 - shown here with identical diameters - lie against one another at a contact surface 28 and can be shown schematically here indicated lock 28 in their respective circumferential position to each other permanently position.
- the locking positions in which a spring-loaded spherical element 30 snaps into recesses on the opposite cam 10 or 11 correspond a first pocket width 16 to be set, a further one to be set second pocket width 32 (see FIG. 3) and optionally further pocket widths can be set on the paddle wheel pockets 15 in each case.
- the pocket sizes 16, 32 and, if necessary, further pocket widths to be preset are on copies made of printing material with higher or lower basis weight, or on specimens with a higher or adapted to a smaller number of pages.
- the copy display 1 can thus be advantageous Way optimally adapted to the nature of the specimens to be interpreted 3 become.
- the spherical locking element 30 of the paddlewheel disks serving as the locking means 28 10, 11 can be done both manually and remotely as part of the default setting be positioned so that the pocket width is already within the scope of the new facility of a print job to be printed can be preset specifically for the job.
- the Both paddle wheel disks 10, 11 are provided with holes through which the Drive shaft 6 extends on which a plurality of paddle wheel arrangements 5 are received can.
- FIG. 3 shows the circumferential position of two paddle wheel disks corresponding to a second pocket width relative to each other.
- a second pocket width 32 is set on the paddle wheel disks 15.
- the two paddle wheel disks 10, 11 are on the drive shaft in the circumferential direction 6 adjusted against each other so that the paddle wheel pockets 15 are hatched by the area 33 are narrowed.
- These crescent regions 33 form a second trailing surface 34 on the pockets 15 of the paddle wheel arrangement 5 out and enter the pockets 15 such that they over the trailing edge 18 (see. Fig. 1) emerge and essentially the central region of a paddle wheel pocket 15, the have a saber-shaped curve, constrict.
- the individual paddle wheels 5.1 which are arranged on the common drive shaft 6 are, can be made of plastic and with friction-reducing coatings be provided.
- Such a paddle wheel 5 can be designed in addition to a second pocket width 32 can be set to further pocket widths, in which a correspondingly wide or less deep retraction of the crescent-shaped, hatched in Fig. 3 Area 33 can be done in the pocket 15.
