Definitions
- the invention relates to a flat speaker arrangement.
- Plate loudspeakers essentially consist of a plate-shaped one Membrane (sound plate), a drive system (Driver) and a bracket.
- the plate-shaped membrane should be particularly light and particularly rigid.
- the drive system of the plate loudspeaker is the Usually from one or more electromechanical (piezoelectric or preferably electrodynamic) transducers.
- the bracket is used to support the weight of the plate To transfer the diaphragm and the drive system to a fixed support, without hindering the desired membrane movement.
- Record loudspeakers of the latest design are resonant operated, that is, through constructive measures is express promoted that the plate in the operating frequency range in bending vibration resonances.
- This speaker principle is called a multi-resonance panel speaker.
- the term sometimes used in this context "Bending shaft loudspeaker” is ambiguous in that when they both on multi-resonance record speakers as also on the non-resonant absorber plates that deflect with bending waves could relate.
- the well-known multi-resonance speakers are all plate-shaped, direct radiating, loudspeakers that can also be used without a housing, for example installed as a ceiling loudspeaker in suspended ceilings or in the manner of a poster stand with a foot section operated freestanding.
- a solution for the "wall effect” consists of using the multi-resonance record speaker with a shield the rear-mounted flat housing. The Solution is only suitable for small, handy Disks with a limited bandwidth.
- the invention has for its object a flat speaker assembly to indicate that does not have these disadvantages.
- the flat speaker arrangement according to the invention uses the load-bearing support structures already available to the user (for example building walls) as a bracket, so that also with Large loudspeakers can be realized with little material can.
- the pleasant sound of the multi-resonance speakers is based on this mainly on a flexible shaft operation above the Frequency of coincidence. For example, this is only with a Edge-fixed, self-supporting sound plate (e.g. sandwich plate) reached.
- the flat speaker arrangement according to the invention is also characterized by the fact that no "Wall effect" occurs that it requires little effort and that they are operated over the entire hi-fi bandwidth can, both in low-frequency piston operation and in high frequency real bending wave radiation operation.
- These panel loudspeakers preferably each have one Vibration generator drivers, a sound plate and a Bracket open and work high-frequency in multi-resonance bending shaft operation.
- Sound bars which are self-supporting, low-damping sandwich panel with a light, shear-resistant core and a front surface and / or connected to it over the entire surface rear cover sheet are executed. Both the individual Record speakers as well as the whole, from the individual Reach the "wall covering" assembled together with the loudspeakers especially by laying (assembling) the necessary mechanical Stability.
- the back of the Driver for mounting the plate speakers with the back the sound plate are connected, the back of the Driver to attach the plate speakers to one for it provided area, such as a wall are.
- the drivers can be both electrodynamic as well as being piezoelectric and can continue to be embedded or attached to the rear of the sound bar his.
- the sound plate preferably has a profiled, spacing structure (distance profile), which the Can hold the soundboard unsupported.
- the back of the distance profile can be attached to a designated Surface (for example wall of a room).
- a distance profile several individual spacer elements can be provided be or a full area on the back of the Sound plate fixed mat made of soft material (for example Foam) can be attached.
- recesses are preferred for this brought in the driver (s). It can be very simple Assign the individual record speakers to one for it Mount the intended surface (e.g. wall).
- the distance profile can be a circumferential, hermetic dense, in contact with the surface provided for fastening Bead have, so that a better bass reproduction is achieved.
- the resonance volume obtained in this way can be provided with a ventilation opening be provided, which ensures an even better bass reproduction is achieved.
- the ventilation opening is preferred executed as a bass reflex tube.
- the bass reflex tube can also be used as a floating tube in the sound plate be arranged so that the bass reflex tube is not through the side edge of the spacer profile must, but frontal ventilation is achieved.
- Prefers becomes a floating tube in a breakthrough the sound plate firmly anchored, for example the Breakthrough in the sound plate pre-punched, but still is prepared locked. This enables the user to choose between an operation with or without a tube.
- An alternative attachment of the bass reflex tube provides this by means of a rear mounting flange on the Attachment intended to attach surface, using a or several openings connect to the enclosed air volume to ensure.
- the breakthrough of the sound plate needs to be bigger than the tube diameter, so that when the Tube remains an annular gap free. This must preferably be sealed airtight but vibration-isolated, for example through a thin film so that the bending vibrations the sound plate are not hindered.
- the opening of the sound plate is pre-punched, but not closed so that the user can use the tube at will can plug in or not.
- the plate loudspeakers are preferably in the form of a bridge network interconnected.
- the record speakers for example the same impedance.
- the bridge network is now like this built that the electrical impedance of the overall system as far as possible in the area of commercially available loudspeaker impedances is (for example, 4 to 8 ohms).
- the 1 and 2 show typical applications in a simplified Listening room 1, such as a living room, a studio, an office, a hall or the like.
- 1 is a wall of the listening room 1 completely from a serving as a wall spot system 2
- In the embodiment 2 covers a wall spot system 4 only a part a wall.
- the wall spotlight systems are 2 or 4 into individual wall radiator elements 3 divided, the wall spot system 2 of sixteen wall spot elements 3 and the wall spot system 4 from four individual wall radiator elements 3 is constructed. After finished Installation of the wall spot systems 2 and 4 can Seams between the individual wall radiator elements 3 so be such that they are no longer visible.
- Fig. 3 shows a flat speaker arrangement according to the invention with regard to logistical problems.
- a complete wall spot system 5 is difficult to transport and also difficult to assemble.
- a flat speaker arrangement according to the invention is divided into individual wall radiator elements 3, which are put together, for example, to form a stack 8 can be made 6 or lined up as wall heater panels 9 and can be transported 7.
- Fig. 4 shows a wall radiating element (similar to a "tile") in plan view 10 and perspective 11 without further details.
- Is enlarged in more detail and perspective Illustration 12 shows a wall radiating element that under other from a multi-resonance sound plate 13 and one Support device 14 (distance profile) exists.
- the multi-resonance sound plate is self-supporting and low-damping (For example, by a trained as a support feet Support device 14 at the corners of the multi-resonance sound plate 13).
- the multi-resonance sound plate 13 is off hard, almost brittle material manufactured in such a way that Overall, the highest possible bending stiffness with as much as possible low mass coverage is achieved.
- In the embodiment are rigid foam panels (with or without cover layers) or honeycomb sandwich panels are provided.
- the multi-resonance record speaker can manufactured with the simplest of means and therefore inexpensively become.
- the cover layers can be made of paper and the sandwich core is made of open-pore hard foam become.
- Essential for the properties of such Multi-resonance plate loudspeaker is the distance profile 14 that between the cantilever multi-resonance sound plate 13 and one not shown in FIG. 4 Wall is arranged.
- This component serves as a holder the self-supporting multi-resonance sound plate made in sandwich technology 13.
- the bracket must be weight-based can absorb static shear without being normal to To hinder wall-directed vibration of the multi-resonance plate 13.
- the distance profile 14 can have its function defined in this way fulfill in many forms.
- Fig. 5 shows some preferred embodiments.
- 5b is a distance profile 14 a soft foam mat 19 with cutouts for protruding from the multi-resonance sound plate 13 on the back Structures such as drivers 18 are provided.
- the Foam mat 19 is with the multi-resonance sound plate 13 glued and on the wall side for fixing to a not shown wall intended for attachment. Thereby is created behind the "tile layer" a flat cavity made of multi-resonance sound bars that is open at the common edge and its own low-frequency Has resonances.
- a peripheral edge bead 20 serves on the one hand as a holder of the multi-resonance sound plate 13 and generated on the other hand when attaching the wall radiator element on a wall (not shown in FIG. 5) regardless of the presence other wall spot elements a closed Resonance cavity.
- Fig. 5d goes from the embodiment 5c from the fact that in the circumferential Edge bead 20 introduced a side bass reflex tube 21 is.
- the peripheral edge bead 20 serves on the one hand as a holder for the multi-resonance sound plate 13 and on the other hand, it creates when the wall radiator element is attached a closed resonance cavity on the wall, the but is ventilated via an acoustically effective opening.
- At low frequencies will each of the multi-resonance sound bars behave like a piston speaker, that is, everyone Surface areas will move in phase.
- non-ventilated Air volume significantly increases the restoring force cause and thus increase the impedance, which causes the sound power output is hindered in the low frequency range.
- For ventilation come in addition to a bass reflex tube trained horn or a transmission line in question. However, side ventilation only comes with arrangements with a small number of wall heater elements in Consideration.
- a wall spotlight is made from a higher number than that made of wall radiator elements, so ventilation preferred forward. There is ventilation to the front for example by means of breakthroughs in the multi-resonance sound plate.
- Fig. 6 shows such an implementation in Cut. Part of a wall radiating element is shown with a spacer profile 20 in the form of a circumferential bead.
- the enclosed air volume is determined by one or more Bass reflex tubes 23, 25 ventilated.
- Bass reflex tubes 23, 25 ventilated Preferably come here two embodiments for use, namely floating Tube and fixed tube.
- the floating tube is made after Wall fixation of the individual, wall-mounted radiator elements one in a matching recess of the sound plate anchoring bass reflex tube 23 is plugged in Building wall 28 open to the enclosed air volume 31 is coupled.
- the bass reflex tubes in different Wall spot elements can be tuned to different to ensure a broadband bass boost.
- the opening the plate surface by the user can by production technology Precautions are greatly simplified.
- the first resonances of the air volume between the sound plate and building wall show a fast polarization in parallel to the wall.
- the associated scalar pressure distribution is with a Membrane deflection coupled, which polarizes normally to the wall is. Exploitation of the large, from the building wall given edge lengths presupposes that the original mutually insulated wall radiator elements with little loss to each other are coupled.
- the airtight peripheral partition 20 between the tiles to be coupled during assembly large openings.
- the wall loudspeaker is divided into several individual wall radiating elements is divided and preferably all wall radiator elements are constructed in the same way on a wall fixed speaker system preferably a periodic Structure. This structure is also preferred for wiring maintain the individual wall spot elements.
- a total impedance that is equal to the impedance of an individual System is. The arrangement deviates from a square From the diagram, there are correspondingly slight changes the total impedance compared to the single impedance.
- FIG. 7b shows in more detail how a wall radiating element 35 can be electrically grouped internally.
- the driver system in a wall radiator element is the simplest Case from a single driver, with higher quality Systems (as shown in Fig. 7b) from one arrangement of high-frequency drivers 41, mid-range drivers 40 and low-frequency drivers 39 together with the associated switches 36.
- higher quality Systems as shown in Fig. 7b
- the drive components within a wall radiator element hard wired together, resulting in a Element impedance Z gives (32), so that each wall radiator element after wall mounting also as a speaker is functional and a commercially available electrical Has impedance.
- the corresponding control signal would have to only to the contacts 37 of the respective wall radiating element be created.
- FIG. 7c finally shows a section of the network 7a. It shows how the wall radiator elements can be connected individually.
- the horizontal ones for example single-pole bus connector 42.
- these lead Bus connector 42 in the embodiment because of the electrical Circuit symmetry no current. But falls a wall spotlight element off, the symmetry is disturbed.
- the horizontal Bus connectors 42 now carry power and the network works - slightly restricted - through redundancy. It is therefore a speaker system with static Reliability.
- the wiring is done next to the horizontal bus connectors 42 above with vertical bus connectors 44, the connection the bus connectors 42 and 44 each between horizontal and vertical element connectors 42 and 45 starting from one Main connection 46 is made for the entire wall speaker. Finally, a vertical bus bridge is used to connect the vertical bus 43 provided.
