Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotatable suction roll consisting of a perforated Roller shell with at least one suction zone, that of one, with one Vacuum source connected suction chamber formed within the roll shell is, at least one each, between the suction chamber and the inner surface of the roll shell arranged sealing element, the suction zone at least in Limited circumferential direction, the perforation consists of channels and the Channel openings of the outer surface of the roll shell as evenly as possible distributed and at least predominantly arranged equidistantly in circumferential rows.
- suction rolls have long been known and u. a. in machines for Production and / or finishing of fibrous webs, especially paper, Cardboard or tissue webs used.
- the object of the invention is therefore to have a simply constructed suction roll to create as little noise as possible.
- the object was achieved in that the channels at least an equidistant circumferential row of channel openings of the outer surface of the Roll jacket in channel openings on the inner surface of the roll jacket ends that are not arranged equidistantly in the circumferential direction. Doing so the distances between the channel mouths of a circumferential row on the inner Change the surface of the roller shell as irregularly as possible.
- the proposed solution aims to overcome this hole siren effect Limit or eliminate the creation of irregularities. This can take place through the differently running channels of a circumferential row. It is about the fact that not all channel mouths of a circumferential row on the inner surface of the roll shell at equal intervals in / out of the area of Tread the sealing surface.
- the channel mouths at least one axially extending row of the outer surface of the roll shell with channel openings on the inner one arranged offset in the circumferential direction Surface are connected via corresponding channels.
- axially adjacent channel mouths on the outer surface of the roll shell slightly to each other in the circumferential direction are staggered.
- the channels of the perforation should be the shape of holes. Furthermore, especially in the case of drilled channels Channel mouths on the inner surface, viewed in the circumferential direction, not be arranged identically with respect to the channels and / or different Have cross-sectional shapes. To create the irregularities mentioned is it is advantageous if every fourth, third or second bore in an axial row the outer surface of the roll shell in its direction from that of the other preferably deviates radially extending bores.
- the holes should be on the outer surface open into circumferential grooves of the roll shell, or be lowered.
- axial running sealing strips used to seal the suction chamber in the circumferential direction.
- the rotatable suction roller is preferably used in connection with endless belts in machines for the production and / or finishing of fibrous webs, in particular cardboard, paper or tissue webs.
- the suction roll is wrapped around this belt at least in the area of the suction zone.
- moisture can also be sucked off the belt at the same time.
- the belt is made permeable to air in the form of a sieve or felt, a web of material, in particular a fibrous web, can run together with the belt on the outside of the belt, at least in the area of the suction zone.
- the suction zone supports the adhesion of the Material web on the belt.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a partial cross section through a rotatable, cylindrical one Suction roller shown.
- the suction roller consists of a perforated roller jacket 1 with a suction zone 2, which is connected to a vacuum source 3 by one Suction chamber 4 is formed within the roll shell 1.
- the suction chamber 4 is sealed against the roll shell 1, which here in the circumferential direction 6 via axial extending sealing elements 5 in the form of sealing strips.
- the perforation of the roll shell 1 is through channels 8 in the form of holes formed the connection between the suction chamber 4 and the exterior of the Manufacture the suction roller to form a suction zone 2.
- channels 8 in the form of holes formed the connection between the suction chamber 4 and the exterior of the Manufacture the suction roller to form a suction zone 2.
- To generate one if possible Uniform suction zone 2 are the channel openings 7 on the outer surface of the roll shell 1 evenly distributed and in circumferential rows and in axial running, staggered rows arranged.
- the holes are based on the outer channel mouths 7 of an axial row alternately different aligned so that up to three rows of channel openings 9,9 ', 9 "on the inner Surface of the roll shell 1 arise.
- most of it of the holes aligned radially, but all circumferential rows of Not channel openings 9, 9 ', 9 "on the inner surface of the roll shell 1 are arranged equidistant.
- the suction roller is 12 in from an air-permeable belt Form of a felt or sieve and an outer material web 13 in the form wrapped in a fibrous web.
- the suction zone 2 not only water from the Band 12 and the fibrous web removed, but also the material web 13 am Volume 12 held.
- the invention can be drilled or countersunk on drilled roll shells 1 Correspondingly shaped channel openings 9, 9 ', 9 "of existing channels 8 on the inner surface of the roll shell 1 can be realized.
- the channel mouths 9, 9 ', 9 " can, as indicated in the figure, in various ways, for example circular or elliptical and / or different, for example be centered or off-center to the hole.
