Description

The invention relates to a belt sander for Grinding of tubes according to the generic term of Patent claim 1.

The grinding of pipes, especially pipes Stainless steels with a disc sander or with a Belt grinder with straight runs is possible. The work leads to an unsatisfactory Result. With these machines, no arcuate removal and thereby a surface, whose sanding pattern is irregular. Besides, it is not possible with an abrasive that is in one plane is moved, a clean cut on a tubular Body to produce, because always only one essentially there is linear contact.

It is already known from US-A 3,049,841 a pipe grinder, which with an abrasive belt that works from a driven pulley on Drive motor driven by two spaced from this arranged rollers revolving, which rollers at the ends two relative to the axis of rotation of the driven roller relative sit each other swivel leg. To edit of a pipe becomes the latter against the strand of the Abrasive belt between the two relative to each other led mobile rollers and thereby partially entwined. The wrap is the bigger, the smaller the spread angle of the two legs is. One the two Leg spreading spring holds the sanding belt to each Tense.

The disadvantage of this device is the increasing Wrap angle of the sanding belt around this working pipe increasing spring force, which in turn only by a corresponding increase in the contact pressure of the Bandes can be overcome to the pipe to be processed. This has the consequence that the tube unilaterally with higher Contact pressure is applied by the abrasive belt and thereby in turn causes uneven grinding image. in the others are the forces that are necessary to one sufficient looping of the pipe to be machined received, higher than necessary for the processing Bearing force of the sanding belt. They lead to fast Fatigue of the operator. The high contact pressure, which are necessary for the large wrap, effect on the other hand, a correspondingly large resistance on Sanding belt, and as a result, increased engine power necessary for the drive, resulting in an increase of the Total weight of the grinding machine leads.

Object of the present invention is to provide a Belt grinding machine, with low effort a wrap of about 180 degrees of a tube possible without significantly increasing it Drive power is required.

This problem is solved by a belt sander according to the features of patent claim 1.

It is possible by the arrangement of the pivot lever on a fixed lever when driving on the workpiece sanding belt length required for wrapping without substantial increase in belt tension available too put. In addition, this is approximately supported Linear belt tension through the use of a Knee lever, through which the force of the spring in the Maintains significant linear course. By the Adjustability of the length of the first fixed arm can the distance between the roll at the end of the pivoting lever arm and the roller on the first lockable lever to the diameter of the be adapted to machining workpiece. The order of the handle on the movable arm at the end of a lever allows the operator to actively move the movable arm to swing, without the contact force of the sanding belt on to increase the workpiece significantly.

In the known from the prior art belt grinding machine 1 shown in Figure 1, the drive unit 3, for example, an electric motor or a pneumatic motor is shown as a rectangle on the right side. Through the supply line 5, the corresponding energy (electricity or air) is supplied. With a switch 7, the drive unit 3 can be switched on and off.
At the front end of the drive unit 3 sits a driven pulley 9. In addition, two pivot arms 11 and 13 are fixed to the drive unit 3, of which at least one is pivotally mounted about the rotation axis A in the vicinity of the driven pulley 9. On firmly connected to the drive unit 3 arm 11 a handle 15 is further attached to which the operator holds the machine 1 with the second hand. The pivot arm 13 is pushed away by a spreading spring 17 from the fixed arm 11 (arrow P). At the ends of the two arms 11,13 deflecting wheels 19,21 are placed, which carry a circulating around these two pulleys 19,21 and the output roller 9 endless abrasive belt 23.

In the figure 1, the known grinding machine during of the grinding process, i. between the two Umlenkrädern 19,21 wraps around the grinding belt 23 a tubular workpiece 25 at an angle beta of less as 180 °. In relaxed state runs the run 26 of the Abrasive belt 23 tangentially from the deflection wheel 19 to the deflection wheel 21. By the wrap angle beta are the two Deflection wheels 19,21 against the force of the spring 17th against each other out. The wrap angle on the workpiece 25 is determined by the force F with which the Operator the belt grinder 1 against the Workpiece 25 presses, determined.

In the inventive embodiment of Belt grinding machine 1 according to Figures 2 and 3, in which for identical parts the same designations and Reference numerals as used in Figure 1, sitting at the end of the drive unit 3, in turn, the output roller 9, and it is the fixed first, the guide wheel 19 bearing Arm 11 attached to it. The pivotable arm 13, which the deflection wheel 21 carries is, in contrast to the state of Technology, not close to the drive unit 3, but at the end one with this also firmly connected second arm 27 articulated and about the axis of rotation of the guide wheel 21st pivotable. At the end of this second arm is a attached additional deflecting 29. The handle 15 is in the inventive embodiment on the pivotable arm thirteenth placed. This handle 15 sits at the end of a angularly attached to the pivot arm 13 boom 31. Im another is on the pivot arm 13 a toggle lever 33rd attached or formed, at the end of the spring 17th attacks. The second end of the spring 17 is on the second fixed arm 27 attached. In a preferred Embodiment of the invention extends the Toggle arm 33 substantially at right angles to the axis F the spring 17. The first fixed, the guide wheel 19th supporting arm 11 may have a fixed length or, as in the example shown in Figures 2 and 3, as Teleskoparm be performed so that its length L, i. the distance of the axis of rotation of the roller 19 to the axis of rotation A of Output roller 9 and thus the distance to the deflection roller 21 for adaptation to the diameter D of the workpiece 25 is changeable.

The following is the operation of the inventive belt grinding machine 1 closer described. In the idle position according to FIG. 2 the strand 26 extends tangentially from the guide wheel 21 to Deflection wheel 19. The sanding belt 23 is in this position from the spring 17 between the four guide wheels 9,19,21,29 kept excited. Now lower the operator, which the grinding machine 1 with one hand on Drive unit 3 and with the other on the handle 15 holds, the abrasive belt 23 from above on the tubular Workpiece 25, so this is initially straight extending Trum 26 led around the workpiece 25 (Wrap angle beta). By the arcuate Course of the abrasive belt 23, the distance between the shortened both pulleys 19 and 21. The shortening takes place by the active pivoting of the pivot arm 13 with one hand of the operator counterclockwise about the axis of rotation of the guide wheel 29. The guide wheel 21st consequently approaches the guide wheel 19 on one circular arc, which is only marginally of a Straight line deviates. With increasing tilt angle of Schwenkarms 13 increases the angle between the Axle of the spring 17 and the toggle lever 33. This leads to a continuous decrease in the force of the spring 17 the pivot arm 13. Despite the deflection of the sanding belt 23 by approximately 180 degrees, the tensile force remains the abrasive belt 23 is substantially unchanged and thereby the contact force in the entire looping area beta almost the same, regardless of whether the Diameter D of the workpiece is large or small. These Independence is made possible by the fact that the deflection wheel 19 on the first fixed arm 11 with respect to the guide wheel 21 is adjustable. When working on a bigger one Diameter D is the distance between the pulleys 19,21 already idling larger, accordingly is the Base distance for machining a smaller pipe (see Figure 3) already smaller before starting work. The Setting the distance is done before the beginning of Processing.

The arrangement of the handle 15 on the pivotable arm 13 and also at the end of the boom 31 makes it possible to Pivoting movement of the arm 13 not only by the Relative movement of workpiece 25 to the machine. 1 but actively by the pivoting of the arm 13th to assist with the boom 31.
