Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container, in particular for medicinal and luxury items in the form of tablets, dragees, capsules, pearls or the like. , with a closure device and with an insert containing a desiccant which absorbs the moisture entering the interior of the container with the air.
  • the container can have the shape of a vial with a bottle neck or, for example, a tube shape and can consist of plastic, glass or, for example, also of sheet metal, as is sometimes the case with tablet tubes.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a container, in particular for medicinal and luxury items, in which the contents of the container are gently protected against moisture and in which the tamper-evident protection of the contents of the container is ensured by a simple measure before the container is used for the first time .
  • the invention provides that the closure device, which is preferably a rotary closure, but which can also have the shape of an axially movable cap that extends over the edge of the container opening, and the desiccant insert have interacting coupling means with which the desiccant insert is in front of the first use of the container can be fastened to the closure device.

  • closure device and the desiccant insert in an initial state through a film or the like closing the container opening. are separated and that after removal of the film, the closure device is moved in the direction of the desiccant insert in the container until the coupling means engage and the desiccant insert is fastened to the closure device.
  • the closure device and the desiccant insert are therefore separated by the tamper-evident device. This is removed by the user before use, whereupon the closure device, in the case that it is a rotary closure, is preferably screwed up to a stop in the direction of the desiccant insert, until the coupling between the two parts takes place. If the closure device is a cap which overlaps the edge of the container opening, it is advanced axially in the direction of the desiccant insert until the coupling means engage, in which case the cap and insert can then form a stopper together.

  • an annular wall can be formed on the upper end wall of the desiccant chamber with an outwardly facing flange which can rest on a shoulder at the upper edge of the container opening. This ensures that the desiccant chamber is not pressed into the container by the closure device, as a result of which the desired connection to the closure device would not come about.
  • the locking device remains rotatable relative to the desiccant insert in the coupled state. This is essential if the closure device is a rotary closure and the desiccant chamber is firmly seated in the container in order to seal it tightly.
  • Such a rotatable connection can be accomplished, for example, in that spring arms with latching hooks protrude from the top of the drying agent chamber or the underside of the closure device, which are engaged behind by an annular projection of the other component during the coupling. In this way, a non-positive connection takes place in the axial direction, but the annular projection rotatably engages around or engages in the spring arms.

  • the desiccant is in the upper chamber 22, while the lower part 23 of the assembled desiccant chamber serves as a spacer from the tablets etc. in the container and has a perforated bottom wall.
