Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pre-assembled electrical installation cable.
  • Electrical installation cables can be pre-assembled, as has already been proposed in an older patent application by the applicant, in order to also enable the non-specialist to carry out an electrical installation in a building.
  • a kit is created that contains connector sockets for individual installation points, cable cut-offs for connecting the individual connector sockets and switching elements for the electrically correct one
  • Pre-assembly includes cutting the individual line sections from a supply of cables according to plan, stripping the cable or wire ends and, if necessary, equipping the stripped cable ends with a connector.
  • pre-assembly means the processing of a cable section in such a way that at least one end is stripped and is therefore ready for attachment of a connector.
  • this label no longer functions, but it could still be used in conjunction with the Installation plans are used to identify individual cables in a bundle of several cables.
  • Pre-assembled cables of the type in question are already machined at the beginning of the pre-assembly process, so that a continuous control in the course of the further processing steps is desired to ensure that the "correct" cable is processed in each processing step.
  • different cable types are required for a kit, which can have five or three wires, for example.
  • the stripped ends of individual cable sections are equipped with different connectors, depending on the desired function. Is it e.g. interruptions on a pre-assembly line, there is a risk that a stripped piece of cable will be fitted with the wrong connectors.
  • the electrical installation of a large building, in particular an administration building, for example, contains a very large number of individual cable sections. If one of these cables is to be replaced, for example after damage, this requires considerable effort. First, the damaged cable may need to be found in a bundle of cables. This can take a considerable amount of time. The measurement of laying a new cable also takes a lot of time.
  • the cable to be replaced is found, it may be that the required cable type is not at hand. If the cable ends are each equipped with a connector, you must first determine which positions the wires of the cable in the connector take before attaching connectors to a new cable.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a pre-assembled electrical installation cable, which is able, even during the pre-assembly, but especially during and after the Laying the cable to facilitate its handling, ie to simplify work to be carried out with or on the cable.
  • This task is solved with a pre-assembled electrical installation cable which has a bar code (bar code) attached to the cable sheath for unambiguous identification.
  • the barcode can contain, in coded form, the information which is also contained in the plain text marking which may be attached to the cable.
  • the barcode assembly has the advantage, however, that even more information can be attached to the cable, and that this information can be recorded mechanically with a conventional barcode reader.
  • the machine-acquired information from the barcode can then e.g. processed by a computer. This further processing can already be done in
  • the barcode is attached quickly and permanently by printing the barcode on the cable sheath, in particular in the form of an inkjet print.
  • inkjet printers can produce very clear print images even on uneven surfaces. This advantage is also used in the pre-assembled cables according to the invention.
  • the information contained in the barcode can relate to the following individual features either individually or in any combination:
  • the barcode is preferably such that it is unique in the context of an electrical installation system which contains a plurality of pre-assembled cables, that is to say that no other identical barcode exists in this system, even if there are several - externally - identical cable sections.
  • pre-assembling the cables a required length section is separated from a supply of cables.
  • the barcode is then preferably used for identification, so that a check is always possible for all further work, i.e. confusion when attaching, for example
  • a cable to be retrofitted is produced automatically or partially automatically in the production facility in which the pre-assembly of the cables of the overall system takes place based on the information contained in the bar code.
  • the information about the length and / or type of the cable is important, as well as information about the positions of the individual cable wires on the connectors to be attached at the end.
  • the cable can be quickly identified - expediently with the aid of the installation plan - and quickly found using a barcode reader.
  • the barcode can only be used as long as the cable is accessible at the point of attachment of the barcode, which is usually the case in administration buildings and the like, but less so in residential buildings in which the cables are covered by plaster.
  • tracking the path of the pre-assembled cable to laying the cable is easier.
  • the invention also relates to a method for prefabricating cables for use in an electrical installation system, comprising the following steps:
