Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for laying at least on one surface cold self-adhesive bitumen waterproofing membrane, where you have several such bitumen waterproofing membranes in an edge area to each other overlapping with the cold self-adhesive surface on a the surface to be sealed is placed on it and in the overlapping border area by mutual Pressing connects.
- bitumen waterproofing membrane to carry out this method is suitable.
- Cold adhesive bitumen waterproofing membranes are known in which the bitumen mass through special additives is equipped with self-adhesive. Usually these self-adhesive bitumen waterproofing membranes covered with release films or release papers and only deducted when laying. The cold gluing has become very important lately because the laying process is quick, easy and is clean and the danger of handling hot Bitumen or with an open flame can be avoided. However, the use of cold glued sheets limited to dry weather and dry ground. If the necessary conditions are not present, must heat-sealing takes place in a conventional manner.
- the cold self-adhesive are formed, however, in the edge area in which the bitumen waterproofing membranes overlap one another Heat treatment does not take place because of each other overlapping bitumen waterproofing membranes when laying already glue together and thus a heat treatment prevent in the overlap area.
- the provision of the cover thus causes the user the bitumen waterproofing membrane in the area the overlap still from the lower bitumen waterproofing membrane can lift because there is no spontaneous gluing due to the cold self-adhesive properties.
- This enables heat treatment, for example by a hot air blower or by an open flame, and this heat treatment provides the stickiness of the edge strip provided with the cover again forth, be it by melting the bitumen material, be it by thermal removal of the cover it by a combination of both measures.
- bitumen waterproofing membranes in one Direction and sequence relocated, where the with a cover strip of the upper bitumen waterproofing membrane not on the lower bitumen waterproofing membrane but on the lower one Bitumen waterproofing membrane facing away from the base.
- the upper bitumen waterproofing membrane is located with a cold self-adhesive edge strip on the lower bitumen waterproofing membrane and can simply be glued to it simply by pressing it on.
- bitumen waterproofing membrane On the opposite side of the upper bitumen waterproofing membrane is covered by with a provided strips this bitumen waterproofing membrane in a narrow edge area not with the pad adhesively bonded, but this is irrelevant since the Sealing to the base by the on this edge strip next bitumen waterproofing membrane placed on the upper side is taken over. According to the technical rules is enough to create security against wind suction a bond of 50% of the area.
- the cold self-adhesive property can, for example eliminated by sprinkling the overlap area become. With a heat treatment, the surrounding Bitumen material melted and can thus connect an underlying bitumen waterproofing membrane, whereby the scattering particles are embedded.
- the cover by placing a fleece or a Slide is made. These can be caused by the heat be eliminated, for example by melting, so that on the one hand the cold self-adhesive Surface is exposed again, on the other hand becomes the adhesive property by heating the bitumen material elevated.
- the invention is also based on the object
- Bitumen waterproofing membrane with at least one cold self-adhesive Form the surface so that you can choose with it a cold self-adhesive or a warm adhesive butt joint can be produced.
- the task is the case of a bitumen waterproofing membrane solved in accordance with the invention, that only a fringe of the cold self-adhesive Surface is provided with a cover that the cold self-adhesive properties the cold self-adhesive surface eliminated.
- the edge strip can have a width of 4, for example up to 8 cm.
- bitumen waterproofing membranes 2 can have any structure, is essential only that one area, hereinafter referred to as the bottom 3 is designated with a cold self-adhesive Material is provided, i.e. with a material that at normal ambient temperatures glued to the underlay 1, if the bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 on this support 3 is placed.
- bitumen waterproofing membrane structure can be very different, it is possible to have several Bitumen layers on top of each other within the bitumen waterproofing membrane to provide, this can also be on the
- the top can be cold self-adhesive, it can be covered with a film on the top, etc.
- the bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 is in on a long side an edge strip 4, for example a width between 4 and 6 cm, with a cover 5 provided which in this edge strip 4 the cold self-adhesive Bottom 3 covers and thus the cold self-adhesive properties of the margin line 4 eliminated.
- This cover 5 can be a mineral, for example Be scattering, but it is also the requirement of a Foil or a fleece conceivable. So with that Cold self-adhesive property only in the narrow edge strip 4 eliminated, but not on the rest of the bottom 3rd
- bitumen waterproofing membrane prepared in this way 2 are usually on the bottom 3 applied peel-off film supplied in the drawing is not shown.
- next bitumen waterproofing membrane will be in the same Prepared in this way and then to the bottom 3 placed that the edge strip 4 with the cover 5th the bitumen waterproofing membrane already laid overlaps.
- This leads to the fact that this second bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 with the cold self-adhesive bottom 3 in that arranged next to the first bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 Area glued to the pad 1 for but another is a gluing of the edge strip 4th with the one previously laid and now below of the edge strip 4 lying bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 prevented.
- a suitable heating device 6 hot air or flame gases be initiated so that the bottom of the with the Cover 5 provided edge strip 4 is heated. This heating leads to the adhesiveness of the Edge strip 4 is restored, be it by Melting away the foil or fleece-shaped cover, be it by melting the bitumen material, be it by a combination of both measures.
- edge strip 4 permanently by pressing to glue the underlying bitumen waterproofing membrane 2, even under conditions that require a cold self-adhesive do not allow.
- bitumen waterproofing membranes 2 can also optionally done in such a way that the upper Bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 not with the one with a cover 5 provided edge strips 4 on the underlying Bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 is placed, but with the opposite edge, which is still cold self-adhesive is trained. It is possible the upper bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 in the overlapping Edge area directly by pressing cold self-adhesive with the bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 laid first connect without the described heating of the Edge area would be necessary.
- edge strip 4 provided with a cover 5 lies with this type of installation shown in Figure 3 at a distance from the bitumen waterproofing membrane laid first 2 directly on the pad 1 and prevented in the narrow edge strip 4 with an adhesive document 1.
- bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 the choice, this bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 either to be laid so that in the overlapping Edge self-adhesive or that Only glue in the overlapping edge area heat treatment can take place. It is enough to Change the laying direction of the bitumen waterproofing membrane, so that on the underlying bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 either an uncovered one Edge area of the next bitumen waterproofing membrane 2 is placed is or provided with a cover 5 Edge area.
