Description

The invention relates to a locking fitting of the type lock, cremone bolt, bolt lock or other comprising at least a case attached to the back of a headrest and accommodating a any control mechanism.

The present invention will find its application in the field of the building hardware.

Obviously, we already know a number of locking fittings corresponding to the description above.

Thus, in the document GB-2.144.485 a mechanism is described for a reclosable opening such as a window or a door. Such a mechanism includes a housing attached to the back of a headrest and receiving a control mechanism to even to cooperate with an operating rod extending to the back of this headrest. Such cooperation is ensured by means of a toothing defined at the level of a follower arranged in the front of the case and able to act on a rack that comprises said maneuvering rod. This drive mechanism further comprises a plate provided with breakable studs extending at the back of this plate and each intended to be engaged through an opening formed at the level of said headrest to position itself at inside an opening defined at said level rack.

In document FR-2.284.018 a new lever is described with snap-on housing and headrest.

It is also known from document US-5,685,181 a device for closure comprising a pivoting lever, this device being intended to be installed at a door or the like.

In the document DE 94 03 801U there is described a device for cremone bolt for door or window while document DE 92 15 844 relates to a device for assembling the elements of a mechanism control.

In fact, before going into the details of designing a such fitting, it will be observed that on a joinery, of the type door, window or the like, very often arises, the problem of applying an identifying element that this either from the carpenter installer, from the manufacturer of this carpentry or that of the fittings with which it is equipped see also the model reference corresponding to this or these fittings.

If it is common enough to affix to the carpentry itself, for example on the lower cross member of the sash or frame dormant, a sticker identifying the manufacturer, possibly even the installer, the identification of a fitting and its manufacturer is often engraved or printed by molding, stamping or any other process, on a part of these fittings. So, it is quite common to find these elements of identification up to the headrest housing, in rebate of the opening of a door, window or the like, elements of a lock fitting of the lock type, cremone bolt, bolt lock, etc ...

However, in both cases, these marking modes present, however, a number of drawbacks.

Thus, the marking of a joinery by means of a label self-adhesive is unsightly and the user often removes it quickly after installing the carpentry, making difficult, if not impossible, identification of the manufacturer or of the installer when it comes to working on this carpentry several years later.

In any case, such labels are brought to take off on their own in time, if not following a cleaning or even pickling operation for example in the wooden carpentry.

In fact, to address the above problems, many carpenters have already imagined affixing their brands on elements forming part of the control members of a locking fitting, in particular at the rosette arranged in the wall of a carpentry and crossed by the square for operating a handle or an access control button to the mechanism of said fitting. It is still customary to affix this marking on the handle or the control button.

It is obvious, however, that if a rosette bears the mark of a carpenter it is difficult for him to also carry the manufacturer's mark of this rosette therefore of the handle or the control button, which manufacturer which can be still different from that of the fittings.

If such a solution is more aesthetic than those previously mentioned, this does not prevent this information worn on these control devices must be considered, it also, as "volatile". Indeed, these control bodies that constitute a handle or a control button and its rosette fitted in original equipment, a carpentry, can not be suitable for the user who has, moreover, in the trade, of a wide range of products in the forms and different colors. This allows him, in particular, to match these controls to their tastes and decor inside. It is obvious, under these conditions, that in the event of replacement of an initial rosette stamped with the mark of carpenter, it is no longer possible to quickly identify this last if necessary.

About the marking carried over on a part of the fitting of locking, very frequently on the headrest extending in rebate of the opening of any carpentry, it results, as already indicated above, of the process for manufacturing these locking fittings. So, it is usual to carry out this marking either by stamping or engraving, or during molding of a part of said fitting. Ultimately, such markings come to somewhat contradict these methods of manufacture of these fittings, not to mention that this poses a big problem of standardization when a part, such that a headrest intended to bear this marking is likely to be suitable for several types of locking fittings therefore of different references. However the marking must, in in some cases, identify the fitting model of interlock with which a given carpentry is fitted.

Anyway, as is clear from the explanations which above, this type of marking reported on an element of a fitting, especially on a headrest is, almost essential, realized, during the manufacture of this fitting, without actually knowing the manufacturer of the carpentry that it will have to equip.

Also, it can not be envisaged that such a fitting element bears the mark of the carpenter or that of the installer. Indeed, this would require that this fitting be marked at the same time that it comes to equip a carpentry, ie by the carpenter himself, which is, of course, particularly restrictive. Indeed, such marking, if one does not wish use the unreliable sticker solution, do not can be done only through a machining process, by example by etching, which may damage the coatings corrosion protection that is usually found at these fittings.

Ultimately, the present invention proposes to remedy to the aforementioned drawbacks. In particular, the invention relates to a locking fitting of the lock, cremone type, lock-bolt or other, comprising at least one housing attached to the back of a headrest and accommodating a mechanism any control, characterized in that said headrest includes means for receiving by clipping means additional hooks fitted to a nameplate and / or identification.

In short, it is a question, according to the invention, of being able to report, by clipping, a plate marked on the headrest corresponding to a locking fitting which can be found, usually in the rebate of a window, door, window or similar. The resulting advantage is that this plate can follow a totally manufacturing circuit independent of that of the locking fitting which can, this fact, be optimized. In addition, this plate can be made of a material other than the headrest in particular synthetic material which facilitates, of course, its manufacture, as well as the marking it is intended to carry. In particular, if it is possible to deliver to the carpenter a plaque marked, first, with the identification of the manufacturer and / or the reference of the fitting that it is brought to equip, it is then easy, for this carpenter, to carry your own marking, for example, by engraving, or any other process such as by printing. Of course, the installer of the carpentry if it is different from the carpenter, can, too, put his mark on this plate.

Anyway we will notice that such a plate of identification attached to the headrest of a fitting of lock meets all manufacturing constraints of this lock fitting, aesthetic and held in the time.

It should also be observed that a box, housing the control mechanism for a locking fitting is attached to the back of a headrest, either by riveting or by welding. If the solder solution leads to a depth larger case, the riveting solution requires the presence, at the level of the headrest, of openings for the reception of the riveting tabs associated with the front edge of the enclosure walls. Also, such fastening by riveting is necessarily visible at the front face of the headrest and therefore considered unsightly.

The present invention overcomes such a problem in the measurement where the sign and / or identification plate reported by clipping at the level of the headrest can intervene, moreover, as a protective cover capable of rendering invisible fixing by riveting a case on its headrest.

As shown in the figures in the attached drawing, the present invention relates to the field of fittings of lock type lock, bolt lock, bolt lock or other.

In particular, it has been shown, in particular FIGS. 1 and 2, a locking fitting 1 in the form of a lever which is distinguishes in that it comprises a housing 2 attached to the back of a headrest 3 and accommodating a any command 4. Here this control mechanism 4 is constituted, substantially, by a follower 5 comprising, in its center, a hub 6 provided with openings 7 for reception of a square with a handle or a button ordered.

In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, the follower 5 acts through a toothing 8 on a rack 9 formed at a maneuvering rod 10 extending, in this case, above and below the housing 2 at the rear of the headrest 3. In this connection, side 11 is usually apparent. opposite to that 12 receiving the housing 2, of such a headrest 3, in rebate of a carpentry, very often of the opening a door, window or the like.

So this headrest 3 sort of shelters the different parts of the locking fitting, such as, specifically, the housing 2 or the rod (s) of operation 10.

According to the invention, said headrest 3 comprises means receiving by clipping 13 of hooking means additional 14 fitted to a nameplate and / or 15 whose dimensions, in width and in height, are preferably at most equal to those of this headrest 3.

As can be seen more particularly in FIG. 1, the means of reception by clipping 13 at this headrest 3 are defined by at least one opening 16, 16A adjusted for the reception of a fixing lug 17, 17A defining the additional attachment means 14 at the face back 18, applied on the side 11 of the headrest 3, corresponding to this plate 15.

It will be noted, in particular, that the opening (s) 16, 16A can be summarized in simple cutouts at the level one or more longitudinal edges 19 of the headrest 3.

It is obvious that it is within the reach of the skilled person. define the shape and size of these openings 16, 16A all like those of the fixing lugs 17, 17A to allow the engagement of the latter in the previous ones by clipping, that is to say so that the maneuver is irreversible, at least without it being the will of an operator.

Thus, according to an exemplary embodiment, a tight fit can be made between these fixing lugs 17, 17A and the openings 16, 16A requiring their forceful engagement. while that according to another embodiment, said legs of fastening 17, 17A can be configured in the form of hooks adapted to cooperate with a hooking flange at level of the openings 16, 16A.

As particularly illustrated in Figure 2 of the drawing attached, such a plate 15 can be affixed at the level of the headrest 3 at the level of the housing 2. Under these conditions this plate 15 can simultaneously fulfill the function of a cover of protection capable of covering at least some of the parts normally visible any fastening by riveting this case 2 at the level of this headrest 3.

In such a situation, this headrest 3 includes openings 20 for receiving riveting lugs 21 equipping the front edge 22 of the walls of the housing 2.

In the end, the plate 15 can thus remedy the unsightly character provided by the apparent side 11 of the headrest 3, such fixing by riveting the housing 2.

In this regard, it should be noted that compared to this riveting solution, a solder connection between the case and headrest 3, if it is invisible at the level of the visible face of the headrest, it does not present less other disadvantages. In particular, it is often at the origin of an increased housing depth 2 which can make the locking fitting incompatible with certain joinery, optimized in the section of profiles which up.

Obviously, if the housing 2 is brought to accommodate locking members, such as a latch bolt for example, likely to appear protruding from side 11 of headrest 3 passing through an opening provided for this purpose in the latter, the nameplate and / or identification 15 may also include such an opening for the passage of this or these locking members.

Ultimately, as is evident from the description which above, the present invention allows not only to answer a general problem of marking a carpentry or still fittings with which it is fitted, but also at a problem of designing a locking device of the type lock, cremone bolt, cremone bolt or other.

Claims (9)

1. Locking fitting such as a lock, espagnolette, espagnolette-lock or the like, including at least one casing (2) inserted at the rear of a face-plate (3) and accommodating a control mechanism {4) whatsoever, characterised in that said face-plate (3) includes means (13) for receiving, through snapping on, complementary coupling means (14) provided on a name and/or identification plate (15).
2. Locking fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the dimensions of the plate (15), in height and in width, are at most equal to those of the face-plate (3).

Locking fitting according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the means for receiving through snapping on (13) at the level of the face-plate (3) are defined by at least one opening (16, 16A) adjusted for receiving a fastening lug (17, 17A) defining the complementary coupling means (14) at the level of the rear face (19), applied against the face-plate (3), corresponding to this plate (15).
4. Locking fitting according to claim, characterised in that the opening or openings (16, 16A) are in the form of cut-outs provided for at the level of one of the longitudinal edges (19) of the face-plate (3).
5. Locking fitting according to any of claims 3 or 4, characterised in that the fastening lugs (17, 17A) and the openings (16, 16A) are made with a close fit requiring their insertion by force.
6. Locking fitting according to any of claims 3 or 4, characterised in that the fastening lugs (17, 17A) are configured in the form of a hook adapted so as to co-operate with a coupling rim at the level of the openings (16, 16A).
7. Locking fitting according to any of the preceding claims, the casing of which (2) includes, in its portion in front of the face-plate (3), riveting lugs (21) aimed at cooperating with appropriate openings (20) at the level of this face-plate (3), characterised in that the name and/or identification plate (15) substantially forms a protection cover for at least part of the riveting fastenings of the casing (2) on the face-plate (3).
8. Locking fitting according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the name and/or identification plate (15) includes one or several openings for the passing through of fastening organs, such as a latch bolt or the like designed capable of protruding with respect to the face-plate (3).
9. Locking fitting according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the name and/or identification plate is made out of a synthetic material.
