Abstract

The long bolt fastening has at least one actuator (3) extending above and/or below a control housing, located behind an end section (4) and having its free end projecting beyond the end section and a guide (12) mounted on it in the locked position. The tip of the end section is shaped to overlap the end of the actuator (3) in the unlocked position for fitting the guide, which is in the form of a sleeve (11) with a lug for clipping it onto the end section.

Description

The invention relates to a cremone bolt or locking bolt comprising at least one operating rod extending above and / or below a control box, at the back of a headrest and whose free end, opposite to said control unit, is provided capable, in the locked position, of presenting itself protruding from the corresponding end of the headrest on which is mounted a rod exit guide, said rod headrest comprising an end portion shaped so as to coincide, by superimposition, at the end part corresponding to the operating rod, when this is in the unlocked position for engagement on these parts end of the headrest and the operating rod of said rod exit guide.

The present invention will find its application in the field of the building hardware and concerns, more in particular, the bolts and bolts-locks provided suitable for being installed in a recessed groove in leaf rebates of door, window or similar type.

Most of these cremone bolts or locks (for example FR 2 365 016) include minus a case attached to the back of a headrest and containing a control mechanism enabling action to be taken on one or more several operating rods coming to extend above or in below this housing at the rear of said headrest.

These locks or locks are manufactured, usually to standard dimensions, especially with regard to concerns the length of the headrest and the operating rod but it is necessary, for a manufacturer, to be able also meet specific requests.

It is of course possible, under these conditions, to adjust this length of headrest and factory operating rods, before assembly of the cremone bolt or cremone bolt. It comes significantly complicate the manufacturing management of these bolts or bolts, especially when these specific requests correspond to very small series.

In fact, such difficulties are encountered, the more frequently for a cremone bolt or lock bolt brought to extend over the entire height of an upright or the length of a cross member of an opening and that the free end of a rod maneuver is capable of constituting, in itself, an organ of locking. So this free end of the rod is provided capable, in the locked position, of presenting itself protruding at one end of this amount or crosspiece, so as to be inserted in a keeper arranged in correspondence on the door, window or similar.

Assuming that special adaptation is difficult to many carpenters have already made equipped with a small press which allows them to cut desired length of an operating rod and, simultaneously, the headrest that houses it.

However, it should be noted that due to the function provided by the headrest, namely to close again, at the joinery level, the embedding groove, the cut made at this headrest can not be any so that the cut of the operating rod necessarily depends on it.

Now, it is quite usual that we are led to confer on the free end of the operating rod a tapered shape intended to facilitate its engagement in the corresponding keeper at the level of the sleeping frame when closing and lock the sash equipped with the cremone bolt or cremone bolt. Furthermore, if the headrest must necessarily be adjusted to the height of the upright or the width of the crosspiece it comes equip, the operating rod, for its part, must be adjusted, more particularly, in relation to the function that she has to insure.

We then imagined a solution intended to allow the individual overlapping of the headrest on the one hand, and of the rod maneuvering, on the other hand, knowing of course that to allow any overlap, these bolts or bolts, when delivered to the carpenter, are devoid of the guide rod outlet which is usually fixed on the end of the headrest for precise guidance and maintaining the end of the rod.

Thus, a first solution retained so far consisted leave it to the carpenter to assemble the elements himself components of the lever or lever lock in particular to liaise with the control unit of the headrests or even operating rods.

If such a solution makes it possible to remedy the problem of individual recutting of a headrest and a rod maneuver, it leads to a significant increase in assembly operations carried out by the carpenter, which is far to be satisfying.

Going back to the rod exit guide, there are some different embodiments.

So it can be defined by a square piece coming dress the angle of the opening frame with respect to which is even to appear projecting the end of the rod of maneuver. Also, one of the wings of this square piece is applied externally on the headrest. Document FR-A-2,747,723 also provides a guide for rod outlet in the form of a fork comprising a base adapted to be housed in the bottom of the installation groove provided at the joinery level. This rod exit guide also has a wing extending parallel to the base by coming to cover, on the external side, the end part of the rod, while a guide strip extends between the base and the wing and has a through opening adapted to passage of the end of this rod. Finally, the base still has a hole for the passage of a fixing screw located beyond the wing in order to be accessible. About the rod it also has an orifice allowing the passage of this fixing screw and the tool during installation of the cremone bolt or lock bolt.

In fact, as appears from the description of this document FR-A-2,747,723, this rod exit guide is all particularly suitable for a cremone bolt fitted with a rod particular configuration and otherwise devoid of any headrest.

In addition, we know from document FR-A-2.365.016 a method of dimensioning of at least one end of cremone bolt with headrest by simultaneous cutting of the headrest and the rod to the dimension of the opening, knowing that the simultaneous cutting of the headrest and rod is made, on the one hand, so as to give them a tapered end and, on the other hand, when said rod is in the unlocked position. It is still described in this document an outlet guide device of rod coming fix the end of the headrest of a cremone bolt on the opening. This device is in the form of a bracket with a vertical wing and a horizontal wing. Under the latter and at the rear of said vertical wing extends a guide rail in the form of a cross section "U", designed to accommodate, to provide guidance, the free end of the operating rod. More particularly the vertical wing of the square is brought to extend to the front of the headrest, while the upper edge parallel side walls of the "U" profile, defining the guide rail, applies on the face back of this headrest. Note that said guide rail communicates with an opening at the horizontal wing of the bracket for the passage of the free end of the rod maneuver. Finally, the horizontal wing in its part is extending beyond the U-shaped guide rail has a hole for the passage of a fixing screw intended to come fit into the thickness of the joinery to ensure, thus, fixing this end portion of the cremone bolt or espagnolette lock.

If, in the solution which has just been exposed, we imagined give the free end of the headrest a shape, not dependent not the function of the latter, but corresponding to the desired shape at the level of the operating rod, this is not maintained in relation to the headrest through this guide rod exit that once it is secured to the carpentry.

However, it may be wise to be able to present the cremone bolt or lock-bolt in the form of a fully pre-assembled assembly at the time of its installation at said carpentry, this in particular in order to allow the automation of this laying operation.

Obviously in a solution involving several parts which must be assembled individually as is the case for the technique described in document FR-A-2.365.016, this automation is more difficult to carry out.

We will also retain, as a state of the art, the solution corresponding to document n ° 2.458.655 which describes a device for fixing and guiding the end of a cremone bolt with headrest. This device consists of a profile of "U" shaped section with a bottom arranged parallel to the end of the headrest of this lever. From this bottom extend two parallel side walls between which slides the free end of the rod maneuver. Note that the upper edge of these walls side is provided with a riveting tab coinciding with corresponding openings at the headrest. In its lower part, the bottom of this device or guide rod exit, is extended by a blade comprising a opening for the passage of a fixing screw. Therefore, this opening is located to the right of a through hole at level of the headrest and an oblong opening in the rod maneuver to allow engagement of said screw fixation.

If this solution, corresponding to the state of the art, does not does not provide an answer to the problem of individual cross-checking of the operating rod, on the one hand, and headrest, on the other part, and, in particular, the difficulty of conferring on the end 8 of the operating rod a suitable shape, it has the advantage of making it strictly dependent on the cremone bolt or cremone bolt the holding and guiding function of this free end of the operating rod relative to to the headrest.

However, it will be recalled that in such a situation for cut the operating rod and the headrest, the guide rod exit can only be fixed on the latter by the carpenter himself.

Ultimately, the object of the present invention is to solve the above problems by proposing a solution that allows, not only, to cross, in only one and same operation, a headrest and an operating rod conferring to the latter the desired form, but also guarantee, using the rod exit guide, perfect connection between this headrest and said operating rod while by ensuring the latter's guiding function. Finally, the invention proposes to provide an answer to the problem of easy fixing of this rod exit guide in relation to the headrest to facilitate installation at the level a carpentry, cremone bolt or bolt lock all of its consecutive pieces

To this end, the invention relates to a lever or lever-bolt comprising at least one operating rod extending above and / or below a control box, at the rear of a headrest, and whose free end, opposite to said housing is provided capable, in the locked position, of being present protruding from the corresponding end of the headrest on which a rod exit guide is mounted, characterized by the fact that the headrest has a part end shaped so as to coincide, by superposition, to the corresponding end part of the rod operation, when the latter is in the unlocked position to engagement on these end parts of the headrest and the rod of said rod exit guide defined as a sheath comprising a channel opening on either side and section adapted for reception, with a functional play, of said end parts of the headrest and of the rod, this sheath further comprising a front wall extending at the front of the headrest and provided with connecting means provided suitable for cooperate, in particular by clipping, with connecting means complementary, arranged at the level of the latter.

According to an additional feature of this invention, the front wall of the sheath has an extension provided with a hole for the passage of a fixing screw and with straight oblong openings, on the one hand, in the headrest and, on the other hand, in the rod of maneuver.

Advantageously, these oblong-shaped openings in the headrest on the one hand and in the operating rod on the other part, are defined of length adjusted so that according to the traceable length of the headrest and rod maneuver, they communicate in all cases, with the hole for the passage of the fixing screw, which includes the extension of the front wall of the sheath and, this, while authorizing, at said operating rod, its movement between its locked position and its unlocked position.

The advantages of the present invention consist of what a cremone bolt or bolt-lock delivered to the carpenter can be adjusted by the latter, by cutting, simultaneously, the end of a headrest and an operating rod, this being, at that time maintained, in the unlocked position. During this operation, special care is taken account of the configuration to be given to this end of said operating rod while the headrest comes simply adopt the form of the latter, at least on one end portion allowing it to receive an outlet guide rod in the form of a sheath. It follows, of course, perfect support between this end of the rod maneuver and said headrest. Furthermore, the link with this last of the scabbard is provided, preferably, by by means of clipping, allowing this carpenter to present the cremone bolt or bolt lock as a assembly pre-assembled for installation on a joinery.

As shown in the figures in the attached drawing, the present invention relates to the field of bolts or bolts-locks 1 more specifically intended to take a stand in a notch 2, as visible in FIG. 3, formed, for example, in the rebate of a door, window or similar.

Thus, such a cremone bolt or locking bolt 1 comprises a control box (not shown) serving as a housing for a control mechanism provided capable of acting on one or more rods operating 3 extending above and / or below said control box, at the rear of a headrest 4.

In fact, the present invention relates to the very specific case where the cremone bolt or lock bolt, with the headrest and its operating rods, extends over the entire length of a upright or cross member of such a door, window or similar. Furthermore, the end 5 of such a rod of maneuver 3 is more particularly, provided capable of protrude at one end of this amount or this crosspiece, so relative to the corresponding end of the headrest 4, this so as to define a lock able to cooperate with a keeper arranged in correspondence on the frame of this door, window or similar.

If, in the usual way, a headrest 4 has a width 7 greater than that of an operating rod 3, as visible in figure 2, this so as to allow this headrest 4 to close the notch 2, it is planned, according to the invention of conforming an end portion 9 of said 6 headrest 4 so as to coincide, by superposition, with the part corresponding end of the operating rod 3, this when it is in the unlocked position, just like that appears in Figure 2.

In short, when, through the small press whose usually has the carpenter, he comes to cut, to length, the rod 3, it cuts at the same time the headrest 4 by conferring on it, on a height 10 predefined, a form strictly identical to this rod operation 3.

Finally, on this end portion 9 of said headrest 4 and the corresponding end part of the rod maneuver 3, it is engaged a sheath 11 defining substantially a rod exit guide 12.

More particularly, the sheath 11 has a channel 13 opening on both sides and of section adjusted for the reception, with a functional game, of this part 9 end 6 of the headrest 4 and of the operating rod 3. Thus, apart from the latter's guiding function, it ensures the connection of this operating rod 3 relative to said headrest 4, even before the assembly is mounted on the carpentry.

Advantageously, this sheath 11 also includes means for link 14 intended to cooperate, in particular by clipping, with additional connecting means 15 at the level of the headrest 4 to secure their joining at least temporarily, before the carpenter does not come to fix the bolt or bolt-lock in notching 2 provided for this purpose at the joinery.

According to a preferred embodiment, said means of link 14 are in the form of a retaining lug 16 located under the front wall 17 extending in front of the headrest 4, this lug 16 being intended to engage, elastically, in an opening 18 made in correspondence in the headrest 4.

Note that this retaining lug 16 is bevelled on its side 19 oriented in the direction of engagement of the sleeve 11 on the headrest 4 and the operating rod 3, while on its side opposite 20 it is defined in the form of a step for once engaged in the opening 18, oppose the withdrawal of the sheath 11.

Furthermore, the front wall 17 of this sheath 11 has a extension 21 extending in opposite direction from the end free 6 of the headrest 4 and which is crossed by a hole 22 for the passage of a fixing screw provided capable of cooperating with the joinery and thus make it integral with the latter rod exit guide 12.

Advantageously, this hole 22 in the extension 21 of the sheath 11 communicates, on the one hand, with an opening 18 in the headrest 4 and, on the other hand, with an oblong opening 24 in the operating rod 3.

The oblong opening 24 takes account, with regard to its length, of the stroke taken by the operating rod 3 to move from its unlocked position to its locking.

For its part, the opening 18 in the headrest 4 being made at when we just cut to the end length 6 of this headrest 4 and, simultaneously, the end 5 of the rod maneuver 3, it is defined, preferably in shape identical to the oblong opening 24 in the latter.

However and as shown in Figure 1, the opening for the reception of the retaining lug 16 and that allowing the passage of the fixing screw can only be one.

Note in this regard, that the retaining lug 16 can be located, under the front wall 17 of the sheath 11, at this level extension 21.

Note also that the length of the latter is defined for ensure the covering of this opening 18 in the headrest 4.

It should be observed that the sheath 11 is defined in length at least equal to the height 10 of the end 9 part 6 of the headrest 4. Insofar as this end portion 9 6, shaped identically to the operating rod 3, has a width 8 less than the width 7 of the headrest 4, it necessarily defines on the lateral sides 25, 26 of the latter of the shoulders 27 serving as a stop for the engagement of this sleeve 11. Under these conditions, the lug of retainer 16 associated with the sleeve 11 and the opening 18 in the headrest 4 are positioned so as to engage one in the other when, precisely, the sheath 11 abuts against these shoulders 27 at the level of said headrest 4.

As is apparent from the above description, the present invention makes it possible to respond, advantageously, to the problem posed.

Claims (8)

1. Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, including at least one operating rod (3) extending above and under a control casing, at the rear of a face-plate (4), and the free end (5) of which, opposite said control casing, is designed so as to be capable, in locking position, of protruding with respect to the corresponding end (6) of the face-plate (4) on which a rod-exit guide (12) is fitted, said face-plate (4) including a portion (9) of an end (6) shaped so as to coincide, through superposition, with the corresponding end portion of the operating rod (3), when the letter is in unlocked position, for inserting said rod-exit guide (12) onto these portions (9) of an end (6) of the face-plate (4) and of the operating rod (3), characterised in that the latter is defined in the form of a sheathing (11) including a channel (13) ending, on both sides, through openings corresponding to its cross-section, which is adapted for receiving, with a functional backlash, said portions (9) of an end (6) of the face-plate (4) and of the operating rod (3), this sheathing (11) also including a front wall (17) extending at the front of the face-plate (4) and provided with connecting means (14) capable of co-operating, namely through clipping-on, with complementary connecting means (15) provided for at the level of the latter.

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to claim 1, characterised in that the sheathing (11) is defined of a length at least equal to the height (10) of the portion (9) of an end (6) corresponding to the face-plate (4) and having a width (8) smaller than the width (7) of the latter, so that this portion (9) of an end (6) is delimited by shoulders (27) at the lateral sides (25, 26) of said face-plate (4), the shoulders (27) forming stops for the insertion of the sheathing (11) onto said portion (9) of an end (6) of this face-plate (4) and the corresponding end portion of the operating rod (3).

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the connecting means (14) are in the form of a retaining pawl (16) provided for under the front wall (17), extending at the front of the face-plate (4), in a way capable of elastically engaging into an opening (18) correspondingly provided for in the face-plate (4).
4. Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to claim 3, characterised in that the retaining pawl (16) is bevelled at its side (19) oriented in the direction of insertion of the sheathing (11) onto the face-plate (4) and onto the operating rod (3), while it is defined, at its opposite side (20), in the form of a set-back, in order to impede, once inserted into the opening (18), the sheathing (11) from withdrawing.

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the sheathing (11) includes, at the level of its front wall (7), an extension (21) extending in the direction opposite the free end (6) of the face-plate (4) and through which passes a hole (22) for the passing-through of a fastening screw.

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to claim 5, characterised in that the hole (22) in the extension (21) of the sheathing (11) communicates, on the one hand, with an opening (18) in the face-plate (4) and, on the other hand, with an elongated opening (24) in the operating rod (3), taking into consideration the travel path followed by the latter to pass from its unlocked position into its locking position.

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to claim 6, characterised in that the opening (18) for the passing-through of the fastening screw passing through the hole (22) provided for in the extension (21) of the sheathing (11) is provided for with a shape identical to that of the elongated opening (24) in the operating rod (3).
8. Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock according to claims 3 and 7, characterised in that the opening (18) defined with an elongated shape for the passing-through of the fastening screw is designed so as to be capable of receiving, as complementary connecting means (15), the retaining pawl (16).
