Definitions
- the invention relates to a combination warhead according to the Oberbergiff of claim 1.
- Warheads Used as a guided missile, submunition or other Warheads are in the majority special, on the warheads optimized for each application. These are for Example in anti-tank defense, where high penetration compared to armored steel (including ERA packages), which known shaped charge systems (HL systems)
- EFP charges projectile-forming charges
- Intermediate forms between HL and EFP charge are also known (e.g. Hemispheres ").
- splinter charges are used, either on their own, such as in the fight against flight targets and against spatially distributed, semi-hard targets (e.g. radar positions, trucks, etc.), or in combination with the above-mentioned warhead types as so-called Multi-purpose warheads '', where the fight against armouring is guaranteed by the hollow or projectile-forming charge and the additional fight against extended semi-hard targets by the additive fragment jacket.
- semi-hard targets e.g. radar positions, trucks, etc.
- the hard concrete targets such as bunkers, shelters, runways etc. and other targets where the main effect should only be achieved after penetrating a first hard layer, such as ships, attack helicopters or normal '' goals in cover '' inside buildings are so-called penetrator warheads.
- penetrator warheads These are metal bodies filled with explosives which are distinguished by their high penetration performance and which only give off their pressure and splintering effect after penetration or penetration.
- the invention has for its object a single warhead to create that at the same time a high breakthrough performance Armored steel and high penetration through hard layers having.
- FIG.1 The basic structure of the warhead according to the invention is shown in Fig.1 shown.
- this cavity 3 is against the one behind it Explosives 2 separated with a shaped charge lining 4.
- An SV (safety device) 6 contains, among other things. the ignition level as well as first pyrotechnic elements of the ignition chain the detonator and if necessary Transmitter or amplifier charges.
- the combination warhead is triggered as follows: in the fight against armored targets is appropriate Distance ignited by the distance igniter the charge. It forms a shaped charge spike, which is still the tip of the penetrator must penetrate. Then he can act on the target unhindered and deliver its high penetration in armored steel; when fighting hard shift targets is not in, distance ignited, but only the penetration (penetration) at least waiting for the first hard shift before a (possibly more intelligent) Penetrator detonator (also housed in the SV) the suitable one The ignition timing is calculated and the warhead detonates.
- Fig.1 In addition to this basic principle shown in Fig.1 are in Fig.2 to Fig.13 possible configurations of this concept are shown, the one Facilitate implementation or, depending on the target requirements, optimization enable shaped charge or penetrator performance. You are in that sense to be seen as exemplary, as well as other combinations of different constructive measures than the one currently being drawn shown, result in a sensible warhead design.
- Figure 4 shows another measure to improve HL performance.
- the warhead is in different compartments 9 and 10 divided, which are ignited differently depending on the operating mode.
- a high penetration rate against armored steel not only through a shaped charge, but also in a weakened form by EFP charges or by intermediate forms between the two Charge types can be achieved.
- the lining is exemplary in FIG 11 of an EFP charge.
- a major obstacle to the formation of a stable shaped charge spike represents the penetrator tip itself.
- the mechanical stability of the tip has to be achieved Penetration performance can be guaranteed.
- Fig. 7 shows a solution to this Problems appropriate training of the pentrator tip, which an inner Has cavity 12 in the tip.
- Fig. 7 If the measure according to Fig. 7 is not sufficient to impair of the shaped charge spike through the penetrator tip can be kept low by another measure, e.g. the Ignition of a pre-shaped charge 13, an opening shortly before reaching the target be blasted into the tip of the penetrator.
- This cargo also clears other components of the guided missile arranged in front of the penetrator, such as. the seeker electronics out of the way and secure the formation of an undisturbed HL spine.
- FIG. 10 represents a possibility of increasing the stability of the penetrator by filling the cavity 3 in front of the shaped charge lining with an incompressible medium 15.
- Penetrator '' gives this material increased strength in the operating mode Hollow charge '' it can be drained off or removed by separating the penetrator tip. With a suitable design, this medium may also have a secondary effect such as fire or the like. cause.
- a pretreated penetrator sleeve can be used to increase the splintering effect 16 can be used, which are pre-embossed or otherwise is pretreated that the natural splinters of the shell predefined Have geometries. This is shown in Fig.11. Here is one too Adjustment of the optimum with regard to penetrator performance (smooth casing) or splinter performance (embossed shell) possible.
- Fig.13 an outer fragment jacket 18 is shown, the Splintering effect increases with distance ignition, but also before Detonation of the charge can be separated by a separating means 19 can, if necessary to avoid collateral damage should be.
