Definitions
- the invention relates to a pin tumbler in a rotary lock cylinder for a security lock, with a housing pin and a core pin and one in the housing of the rotary lock cylinder stored compression spring against whose force the guard locking to enable rotation of the cylinder core with one in the key channel key to be inserted by a radial displacement is to be classified, the housing pin being excluded on its circumference immediately behind its end face lying against the core pin, such that an edge is formed with an acute-angled cross section.
- Tumblers of this type are used in high-quality rotary lock cylinders long known in numerous versions.
- Such Guard locking in a rotary lock cylinder is, for example known from the applicant's US-A-3 762 193 and EP-A-0 646 689. These tumblers are used to enable the rotation of the cylinder core with a Key channel key to be inserted raised and arranged, the abutting surfaces of the housing pin and the core pin on the shear line of the rotary lock cylinder lie.
- the housing pin is also called counter bolt.
- Tumblers can block positively or negatively. With a negative Locking locks the body pin by inserting it into the hole engages the cylinder core. If the lock is positive, it takes effect however, the core pin in the bore of the housing and locks the rotary lock cylinder. Such an intervention takes place each with one or more increments. To the Combinatorics and thus increasing the number of locking options, very small increments are used, with the smallest still permissible increments in the range from 0.35 to 0.5 mm.
- a locking system is only set up with positive locks, it is therefore possible to use several individual keys lying next to each other a master key to identify what's security related shouldn't be possible. However, it becomes positive and negative combined, there is a complete concealment the locks, so that a master key even for the professional is not recognizable. Such a disguise will the security value of a locking system increases significantly.
- the invention has for its object a guard locking of the above To create kind that avoids the disadvantages mentioned and that even with a step jump smaller than 1 mm and more negative Blocking offers high security.
- the task is in a generic pin tumbler according to the characterizing features of claim 1 solved.
- the invention has the effect that small step change and negative locking of the housing pin a force application in the housing bore and the Edge buried in the cylinder core.
- By digging in Housing pin must not be lifted out of the hole. tries have shown that the housing pin does not push away even then when the key is broken until it breaks is rotated about 12 N.
- the greater the torque the more the housing pin digs in more at its inner edge the cylinder core.
- Tumblers are therefore also negative blocks possible with a step change significantly smaller than 1 mm and resist an unauthorized attempt to unlock the door.
- FIG. 1 shows a rotary lock cylinder 4 known per se with a cylinder core 2, also called a rotor and a housing 3, also called stator.
- a tumbler 4 which has a core pin 6 and a housing pin 5.
- the core pin 6 engages with its tip 6a in a key channel 15 and lies on further core pins 6 'and 6' '.
- the core pins 6 ' and 6 "belong to tumblers that are the same as tumbler 4 can be built up, but transversely to this in the locking cylinder 4 are stored.
- the tumbler 4 and the other tumblers not shown here are classified by the shaft of one not shown here Key is inserted into channel 6.
- the tumblers 4 are radially outwards in the direction of line 15 raised against the retroactive force of a compression spring 7 until the cambered surface 12 of the core pins 6 between the shear line 10 have reached the housing 3 and the cylinder core 2.
- the Core pin 6 and the housing pin 5 complement each other in length.
- the housing pins 5 are thus of different lengths, the shortest housing pin 5 has a length of about 0.65 mm. Such a housing pin 5 never locks negatively.
- the housing pin 5 locks negatively, that is, it grips with the length of a step S of, for example, 0.5 mm in the bore 8 of the cylinder core 2 a.
- the end face 11 of the housing pin 5 is by the Pressure of the spring 7 is pressed against the end face 12 of the core pin 6.
- the housing pin 5 is immediate provided with a recess 13 behind its end face, which extends around the entire circumference of the housing pin 5.
- the result of this recess 13 is that the housing pin 15 has a comparatively sharp front edge 16. Behind this edge 16, the diameter takes along a conical Surface 14 up to a sloping shoulder 17 continuously from.
- the angle ⁇ between the surface 14 and the shoulder 17 is about 105 °.
- the angle a between the end face 11 and the conical surface 14 is smaller than 90 ° and preferably larger than 60 °.
- the preferred angle ⁇ is between 85 ° and 65 ° and is preferably about 75 °.
- the diameter A of the housing pin 5 is slightly smaller than the diameter of the bore 9 and is for example 2.97 mm.
- the length B of the housing pin is different, but is at least about 0.65 mm.
- the distance C between the end face 11 and the shoulder 17th is slightly larger than an increment S and is around here 0.75 mm.
- the recess 13 is not very deep and in no way weakens the housing pin 5.
- the housing pin 5 tilts as in Figure 2 shown and the comparatively sharp edge 16 digs the point designated P in the cylinder core 2. Becomes the torque increases, the housing pin 5 is not from the Hole 8 lifted out, but he digs with increasing Force continues in those made of comparatively soft material Cylinder core 2 and can not be radial be pressed outside.
- the housing pin 5 By tilting the housing pin 5 the distance of the edge 16 starting at the bore 8 to Shear line 10 enlarged.
- the distance of the shear line 10 to Point P is thus much larger than the step jump S.
- the correspondingly large material thickness makes it difficult to push away the material of the cylinder core 2 lying above the point P. and thus remove the block. This is also with a force of about 12 N, in which a key usually breaks, not possible.
- the housing pin consists of hard material, especially hardened steel and is on his inner end not significantly weakened by the recess 13.
- the recess 13 can also be designed differently and the surface 14 does not necessarily have to be conical. However, it is essential that the edge 16 is comparatively sharp and as above explained can dig into the cylinder core and thus in the hole 8 fixed.
- the recess 13 can be inexpensive by turning or stabbing.
- the housing pin 5 Over the conical surface 14, the housing pin 5 has a cylindrical Wall 19 with which the housing pin 5 in the Bore 9 of the housing 3 is guided radially. It is not necessary that all tumblers of a rotary lock cylinder are designed as explained above. Are preferred however, all housing pins 5 which engage in the cylinder core and lock negative, provided with a recess 13. The shorter ones Housing pins 5 with a length of about 0.65 mm can be trained as usual.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show a housing pin 20 according to a variant, which is provided with the recess 13 explained above.
- the housing pin 20 consists of a hardened body 23, in which a softer part 24 is used, which as can be seen has an outstanding conical projection 24a.
- Approach 24a can be the compression spring 7 in a simple manner attach by tapered end 24a after attaching the Compression spring 7 is compressed like a rivet.
- the Compression spring 7 and the housing pin 20 then form a unit, which makes assembly much easier.
- FIG. 6 shows a further embodiment of a housing pin 25. This is in turn provided with a recess 13.
- the compression spring 7 is attached to the housing pin 15 here by means of a groove 17 into which end turns 28 of the compression spring 7 are clipped in.
- the compression spring 7 is double-conical, so that they are essentially compressed to the wire diameter can be.
- the compression spring with the housing pin 25 can thus in a comparatively short bore 9 of the housing 3 can be accommodated.
