Definitions
- the invention relates to a connection device, for connecting electrical lines to other conductors, For example, connections of electrical equipment in particular Lamp sockets, the invention Connection device from a known connection device with the features of the preamble of the claim 1 goes out.
- Such a contact arrangement is specific to one Wire diameter set While wires are smaller Diameter can not be connected, it can be Difficulty inserting thicker wires. The possible and allowable diameter range is so small that only cables with a single nominal cross-section be contacted. There are relatively high insertion forces required. Lead wires are inserted when inserting claimed to thrust, being very slightly sideways buckle. Large insertion forces therefore pose an obstacle to assembly represents.
- connection terminal known for stripped wire ends.
- the connection terminal has a spring contact terminal with two on top of each other assigning spring tongues.
- the opposite of each other standing free ends of the spring tongues are due to straight edges limited, which clamp the conductor between each other.
- a clamping device is from CH-A-659918 known for stripped wire ends, the three from a sheet metal part punched out to extend radially on the conductor Has spring tongues.
- the spring tongues are at the end with a contour adapted to the conductor, i.e. the tongue ends are concave.
- DE 195 39 584 A1 discloses a similar plug connection for stripped cables with three radially on top of each other to extend spring tongues.
- the spring tongues are on bent at an angle and define one at the end cylindrical peripheral surface of the stripped conductor concave surface.
- the plug contacts of the type mentioned assume that as large as possible between the contact tongue and the conductor Contact area should be created.
- connection device which is characterized by a features improved handling and increased contact security.
- the spring properties of the tongues are also favored in that, as a result of the proposed Spaces are relatively narrow. So that can Insertion forces that are required to make a stripped Bend the tongues into the connection opening introduce significantly reduced. As a result of the increased flexibility of the tongues, this decreases Contact security through the possibly reduced contact pressure However not. On the contrary, in general it significantly improved. Even shocks or Contact reliability cannot be caused by vibration affect.
- connection devices one and the same Contact size cables of different diameters.
- the contact tongues fit through one more or less large deflection on the wire diameter. A remaining one that may occur Deformation is maintained while maintaining the spring properties Adaptation to cables with a large cross-section possible.
- the contact tongues are bending springs with a defined one Length. In contrast to only through radial cuts free tongues, in which the radially outer The length of the cut can hardly be defined exactly, is the length of the feather the contact tongues in the connection device according to the invention precisely defined. Also be plastic deformation processes largely avoided, and this does not pre-damage the contact material. The Spring properties are completely preserved. Common inexpensive material can be used Find.
- the overall improved clamping results in both better vibration resistance and one increased contact security.
- the improved and defined spring action of the contact tongues allows a smaller installation space to be achieved, which in particular favors the miniaturization of electrical sockets or other electrical equipment.
- the contact tongues can be relatively short and still offer sufficient spring force.
- the diameter of the connection device is defined by the diameter which is defined concentrically with the line to be connected by the outer boundary of the intermediate spaces.
- the specified line diameters result in connectable lines in the cross-sectional area of 0.5 to 1 mm 2 , which can all be operated with one and the same connection device.
- the required insertion forces for each cable diameter are so low that the buckling stiffness of the cable to be connected is sufficient to insert the stripped cable end into the connection device.
- the contact tongues are preferably one flat angle of, for example, only 30 ° from the plane of the other connection area bent out.
- the free Define the ends of the tongues facing each other a circle that is significantly larger than the distance between the free ends of adjacent tongues. Moreover the distance between the tongues increases from the connection opening seen radially outwards.
- the Gaps preferably larger than the contact tongues, whereby a high flexibility of the contact tongues is achieved that allows a low insertion force.
- the tongues not touching each other widen radially seen outwards, if their side edges roughly in the radial direction are arranged. This can be achieved that the bending stress of the contact tongue over the Spread the length of the contact tongue, not on a narrow one Area is concentrated. On the one hand, this enables one greater flexible deflection of the contact tongues and another a short construction of the same, whereby the connection device can be designed to save space can.
- connection device is on a flat conductor strip, preferably using the stamping process an opening punched out into the three tongues, for example protrude radially inwards.
- a particularly simple punching tool is obtained when the spaces are radial have a border lying on a circle on the outside.
- other edge shapes can also be used here if necessary can be selected without the spring properties of the contact tongues be affected too much.
- expedient however is an arcuate transition from the side edge (Flank) of each tongue to the radially outer edge of the subsequent space that is rounded is. This rounding creates defined tension relationships at the foot of every tongue.
- the tongues are at their limit the connection opening Preferably rounded end, however point them after their top and bottom Flat edges with sharp edges.
- One of the edges serves the Contacting.
- the tongues are with a relatively small radius rounded convex. The radius corresponds to half the width of a contact tongue on hers line end.
- the contact tongue cuts a little into the edge Outer surface of the conductor, and forms a small but safe contact point.
- the spring force of the spring tongue focuses on a relatively small area here and cannot from other contiguous areas, which are possibly separated by an oxide skin be taken over. The contact is this way reliably ensured.
- connection device preferably with three Contact tongues is equipped so that a defined Holding and contacting an inserted conductor is ensured, preferably comprises an insulating housing the management function for the one to be connected Can take over.
- the insulating housing has to do this, an opening that the line to be inserted in the connection opening between the tongue ends leads and prevents the conductor from entering the Gaps inserted between the contact tongues becomes. To rule out this completely, everyone can Opening around pegs arranged in the gaps reach between the tongues.
- connection device 1 in longitudinal section which illustrates a one or more part Isolierstoffgeophuse 2 and one in a corresponding slot-like space 3 of the insulating material housing 2 stored conductor strips 4 includes.
- the gap 3 is dimensioned so that the conductor strip 4 is held stationary with little play is.
- Connection areas 6, 7 are on the conductor strip 4 formed for contacting lines 8, 9 serve. These are stripped with an appropriate End 11, 12 at the respective connection area 6, 7 brought into electrical connection with the conductor strip 4.
- the insulating housing has 4 insertion openings 14, 15 on the outside preferably in pass over an insertion funnel 16, 17.
- the diameter the insertion opening 14, 15 corresponds to the conductor diameter the line 9 to be inserted with the largest Cross-section. The insertion of thicker lines thereby preventing a thinner line 8 enough guidance is given so that this leads to the Connection area 6, 7 of conductor strip 4 sufficient centered.
- each opening 14 On the side facing the conductor strip are around each opening 14, 15 pins 14a, 15a arranged, the are arranged parallel to the openings 14, 15.
- connection areas 6, 7 of the conductor strip 4 are shown separately in Figures 3 and 4.
- the Conductor strip 4 consists of a conventional contact material based on copper.
- each cloverleaf-shaped Openings 18, 19 punched which initially the in Figure 2 shown conductor strips 4 'is obtained.
- the Openings have a circular basic shape radially inward contact tongues 21, 22, 23 whose length is the material thickness of the conductor strip 4, (4 ') by two to four times.
- each tongue 21, 22, 23 is three to four times as long as the conductor strip 4 is thick.
- the contact tongues 21, 22, 23 are on their free Rounded end in plan view and define an inner circle 31, whose diameter is significantly smaller than the diameter of the thinnest conductor to be connected. However, the contact tongues 21, 22, 23 are in the transition to their upper and lower flat sides 32, 33 (FIG. 4) not rounded, so that on the bottom one for contacting the line 8, 9 provided and sufficient sharp, circular arc-shaped edge region 34 is present is whose center of curvature is in the contact tongue lies.
- connection areas 6, 7, the Tongues 21, 22, 23 from the remaining conductor level by about 30 ° bent.
- the one shown in FIG. 5 is used for this Mandrel 35 with a bevel angle of approximately 32 °.
- the tongues 21, 22, 23 are pressed from below bent along bending edges 36, 37, 38 which on one common circle with the outer edges 29 of the spaces 24, 25, 26 lie.
- the external dimensions of an example executed connection area 6 thus 2.8 mm diameter, with a strip thickness of about 0.2 up to 0.3 mm and a tongue length of about 0.6 mm.
- a line 8, 9 is contacted as in Figure 1 represented as follows:
- a connection device 1 is for Connection of lines 8, 9 ready when the conductor strip 4, as shown in Figures 3 and 4 is, with pre-bent contact tongues 21, 22, 23 in the Interspace 3 of the insulating housing 2 is used.
- the contact tongues 21, 22, 23 are 30 ° from the contact plane bent out and delimit with their free ends has a circle, for example, about 0.5 mm in diameter.
- the line 8 is the thinnest connectable line and has a conductor cross section of 0.5 mm 2 , ie a diameter of slightly less than 0.8 mm. from the insertion opening 14, the end 11 of the line 8 is guided to the connection opening 41, which is fixed by the edges 34 of the free ends of the contact tongues 21, 22, 23.
- the connecting tongues 21, 22, 23 bend more or less far outwards, resiliently abutting the outer jacket of the stripped end 11, 12 and digging into the surface. Even if the deformation to which the tongues 21, 22, 23 are subject is so great that the contact tongues 21, 22, 23 are permanently deformed, they nevertheless remain in contact with the conductor under resilient prestress. This results in an electrically safe and vibration-proof contact.
- the connection device With a diameter of just 2.8 mm Contact device can be wires in the diameter range from 0.8 to 1.2 mm without connecting special measures or changes to the lines or would be required at the contact points.
- the contact arrangement builds smaller than conventional contact arrangements, is safer and moreover regarding of the connection diameter variable.
- the connection device is particularly suitable for lamp holders as well other electrical equipment and also enables miniaturization in the connection area.
- a connection device especially for lamp holders has a contact strip 4, the three radially facing each other within a recess 18 Contact tongues 21, 22, 23 carries.
- the contact tongues are separated by larger spaces 24, 25, 26 spaced.
- On her in the contact strip 4 The end are the contact tongues 21, 22, 23 in the circumferential direction measured narrower than the one in between Recesses 24, 25, 26. This creates a good spring action achieved, which increases the contact security and the Connection of lead wires of different diameters allowed.
