Definitions
- the invention relates to a cup-shaped grinding wheel according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a pot-shaped grinding wheel such as that used for example is known from EP 0 535 431, used in a hand-held Angle grinder is used, which usually consists of an extraction system of suction hood and suction device, is connected.
- a hand-held Angle grinder used in a hand-held Angle grinder is used, which usually consists of an extraction system of suction hood and suction device, is connected.
- the grinding wheel becomes like this brought up to the surface of the surface that at least part of the abrasive body with their sides facing away from the receiving area material from the Remove the surface.
- This removed material, but also the accumulating material Grinding dust is removed through the through holes with the help of the extraction system sucked through from the processing area.
- Each of the through holes is arranged so that it partially covers the grinding area and partially penetrates the transition area. Due to the conical shape of the transition area The through holes therefore do not only open into those of the receiving area side of the grinding area facing away but also in a free space, which extends between the receiving area and the grinding area and from which Transition area is surrounded. Therefore, when switching on the suction system each time the air is sucked out of this free space until there is a corresponding one Negative pressure between the grinding area and the surface to be processed can build up. This is particularly uncomfortable for the operator because any negative pressure that may be generated is always delayed for commissioning of the grinding device and thereby the removed one at the beginning of the grinding process Material or the resulting grinding dust cannot be extracted.
- WO-A-95/29788 is a cup-shaped grinding wheel with an annular Grinding area and one coaxial to the grinding area, axially from the grinding area spaced recording area known.
- the grinding area has several on its circumference Recesses, with one of these recesses receiving a Serves cutting body, the outer contour of the grinding area at least in the radial direction surmounted.
- a conical transition area in which several Through holes are arranged.
- the central area of the recording area is also provided with a through hole.
- the object of the invention is a simple and economically producible grinding wheel. to create with the removed material as well as grinding dust quickly and safely is extractable from the processing area. With the grinding wheel, a good grinding performance should a good surface quality of the machined surface and a good one Cooling of the grinding wheels can be achieved. The grinding wheel should not generate vibration and the accumulation of worn material and grinding dust between the Abrasives should be prevented. Furthermore, the grinding wheel should be designed in this way be that there is a negative pressure between the grinding area and the surface of a Can be built up very quickly.
- a longer service life of the grinding wheels is achieved by cooling them. Since the Has grinding wheel segment-like grinding body, it can not seal on the lie on the surface to be machined. Due to the between the grinding wheels lying, from the outer contour of the grinding area over the entire radial Extending the interstices extending the grinding area can air from outside flow here, the temperature of which is lower than the temperature of the grinding wheels, when this material is removed from the surface. This cool air flows around the Grinding wheel and cools it. The thermal load on the grinding wheels and the Adhesive with which the grinding wheel is fixed in the grinding area on the grinding wheel are reduced.
- the through holes are preferably in the Grinding area larger than the through holes in the transition area.
- the vacuum generated by the suction system mostly in the grinding area acts, suitably corresponds to the diameter of the through hole in Grinding area 1.5 to 3.6 times the diameter of the through hole in the transition area.
- the diameter advantageously corresponds to the strength of the support body the through hole in the grinding area is 0.06 to 0.18 times the outside diameter of the grinding area.
- At least one grinding wheel is expediently located in the grinding area partly between two adjacent through holes. This results in a larger grinding area on the one hand, and Center of the grinding wheel open to the through holes in the grinding area created at least partially surrounding chambers in which for better Suction collects the removed material.
- the removed material is mainly through the Through holes drilled in the grinding area. Since the grinding wheel is rotating, the non-extracted, remaining material removed better through the transition area penetrating through holes can be suctioned when the through holes in the transition area compared to the through holes in the grinding area be adjusted in the direction of rotation of the grinding wheel. This is achieved by the through holes in the transition area in the circumferential direction compared to the Through holes in the grinding area are arranged offset.
- the axis of the through holes in the grinding area each on one of the Disc axis of the grinding wheel outgoing first beam and the axis of the Through holes in the transition area each on one of the disc axis the grinding wheel emanating from the second beam, which is the first beam under a Angle runs from 5 ° to 25 °.
- the transition area to the disc axis tapers at an angle of 30 ° to 50 °.
- the cup-shaped grinding wheel shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has an annular, segment-like grinding wheel 5 having grinding area 2, one for Grinding area 2 coaxially arranged, axially spaced annular Receiving area 4 and one of the inner contour of the grinding area 2 outgoing; extending conically to the outer contour of the receiving area 4 Transitional area 3.
- the annular receiving area 4 serves to fix the grinding wheel a drive shaft of an angle grinder, not shown, an inner Diameter of the receiving area 4 essentially to the diameter of the Drive shaft is matched.
- the transition area 3 tapers essentially conically to the disk axis of FIG Grinding wheel at an angle W2 of 40 ° and is, for example, seven Through holes 7 running parallel to the wheel axis of the grinding wheel enforced in the circumferential direction along the transition region 3 essentially are arranged at equal distances from each other.
- the annular grinding area 2 has in particular seven in the circumferential direction through holes 6 arranged essentially at equal intervals from one another that pass through grinding area 2 parallel to the wheel axis of the grinding wheel.
- the through holes 6 in the grinding area 2 are larger than the through holes 7 in the transition area 3.
- the diameter D1 of the through holes 6 in grinding area 2 corresponds to both 2.10 times the diameter D2 Through holes 7 in the transition area 3 and 0.13 times Outside diameter D3 of the grinding area 2.
- the radial extent R of the grinding area 2 corresponds to 0.222 times the outside diameter D3 of grinding area 2.
- the through holes 6 in the grinding area 2 are opposite to the through holes 7 offset in the circumferential direction to each other in the transition region 3 arranged.
- Each axis of the through holes 6 in the grinding area 2 lies on one first beam S1 emanating from the wheel axis of the grinding wheel, and each of the Axes of the through holes 7 in the transition area 3 lies on one of the Disc axis of the grinding wheel outgoing second beam S2, the first Beam S1 runs at an angle W1 of 20 °.
- the grinding wheels 5 are on the side surface 22 facing away from the receiving area 4 of the grinding area 2, extend at least partially along the Outer contour 21 of the peripheral area of the grinding area 2 and protrude beyond it at least partially in the radial direction. Each grinding wheel 5 also extends each between two adjacent through holes 6 of the grinding area 2 at least partially over the entire radial extent R of the grinding area 2.
- the grinding bodies 5 are essentially L-shaped. Here is the selected geometry of the grinding wheel 5 arranged so that the parallel to the axis the through hole 6 extending inner contour of the grinding body 5 starting at Beam S1 merges into a radius R1 running towards the center and thereby the Through hole 6 at least partially encloses, with the effect that the removed Material and the grinding dust can be extracted optimally. Due to the Geometry and the arrangement of the grinding wheels 5 are vibrations of the cup-shaped Prevents grinding wheel, as well as an improved self-sharpening process of the grinding wheel reached.
- the outside of the recording area 4 is 6: 1, for example.
- the strength of S3 Grinding wheel in grinding area 2 is smaller than thickness S4 in receiving area 4.
- the receiving area 4 can have a thickness S4 of 3 to 6 mm and the grinding area 2 have a thickness S3 of 1 to 2.8 mm.
- the grinding wheel 5 are on one of the Side area 22 of the grinding area 2 facing away from the receiving area 4 by means of a Adhesive attached.
