Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mechanism for chairs, in particular office swivel chairs, with a gas spring and an arrangement for height adjustment and with synchronously adjustable inclination of the seat and backrest, for which purpose a gas spring is also used.
  • the current chair position can be locked or unlocked by actuating the tilt adjustment arrangement. If the locking of the inclination adjustment is released, you can change the position of the backrest within an adjustment range by shifting your body weight, whereby the seat follows synchronously.
  • chairs equipped in this way you can move from a forward-inclined position ( writing position), through a middle position ( basic position ), to a backward-inclined position ( relax position).
  • the present invention relates to the constructive Composition of a backrest and a seat shell in interaction with design features on upholstery for the backrest and the seat shell for mutual Fixation.
  • Mechanisms for swivel chairs with a synchronization of the Sequence of movements between the seat and the backrest where Ergonomically adequate positioning for every backrest inclination the seat is assigned are already in multiples Copies known (e.g. CH-A-629 945, CH-A-524 982, DE-C-29 40 250, DE-A-39 16 474, US-A-4 408 800, EP-B-0 592 369, WO 83/00610).
  • the more modern constructions also allow the seat and backrest to be inclined forward to move forward when working on a table flexed posture of the user, i.e. the underside of the thigh resting on the seat relieve pressure and effectively support the back area.
  • a such synchronous mechanism is known from AU-B-581 120.
  • An articulated strap extends from the seat support to the seat shell, considering their articulation point on the seat shell towards the front of the seat shell - before the pivot point lies on the seat support. Through the cross connection to The backrest takes on the front section with increasing load the seat shell also the supporting contact pressure of the Backrest against the user's hip area too.
  • Backrests and seat shells as well as the associated backrests and Seat cushions are currently firmly connected e.g. glued on, clamped or framed.
  • Another type of fastening is tying.
  • the first-mentioned fastening method is for the user often disadvantageous or assembly-intensive in production and later prepares when separating, depending on the design, more trouble.
  • the invention based on the problem of improved chair mechanics to create which of their basic structure possible is inexpensive and which can be rationally operated in the Series production can produce cost-effectively. Further should the chair mechanics to be proposed by a feature long functionality and if necessary enable uncomplicated service. Finally should a disused chair mechanics with little Time expenditure and without special manual skills as well as equipment would be necessary, completely in their Have individual parts disassembled. All the advantages and conveniences of modern chair mechanics, however, must Keep users.
  • Another object of the invention is the fastenings between the backrest cushion and the backrest as well as between the seat cushion and the seat shell for the Simplify assembly and disassembly while at the same time User-friendly in terms of easy removability to design.
  • the chair mechanism consists of two housing shells, which together form the seat support, the seat support on the conical tip of the vertically arranged gas spring - this is intended for height adjustment - touches down.
