Definitions
- the invention relates to a socket for electrical Consumables, especially for fluorescent lamps Two pin base.
- Tubular fluorescent lamps are usually used, which are provided with two-pin bases at the ends, in Holders used to hold the contact pins of the base have a so-called rotor. This is rotatably mounted on the rest of the lamp holder and points a slot that with an insertion slot of the Socket housing can be brought into alignment is.
- the socket housing are also resilient Contacts arranged with which the contact pins in Come into contact when the lamp base in question the socket inserted and taking the rotor around Has been rotated 90 °.
- Corresponding versions are wide spread. Both professional and untrained Users therefore go when changing fluorescent lamps mostly assume that the versions held fluorescent lamp initially by 90 ° about its longitudinal axis to rotate and then pull out of the sockets is.
- the socket according to the invention has in its socket housing with a branching insertion slot two areas, each with an electrical Contact is arranged.
- the assigned to the areas electrical contacts extend into the insertion slot inside. From the edge open or to the outside seen from the opening side of the insertion slot the electrical contacts upstream locking means, the apply a predetermined locking force.
- the locking means block the passage of the Contact pins for the contacts. Prevent the locking means thus unintentional contacting of the contact pins, so that one is still out of frame Contact pin can only be energized if the contact pin already in the socket the locking force of the locking means upstream of the contact overcomes.
- the locking force is set so that the Requirements for electrical safety are taken into account becomes.
- the socket housing can consist of a few in the simplest case consist of one or two parts, who make and hold the contacts. Is the socket housing formed in two parts, the that is the part of the socket housing facing the lamp made of a more heat-resistant plastic be formed as the rest of the socket housing. This will provide both the required heat resistance as well as cost-effective production, by only the part of the lamp facing the lamp So to speak, as a heat shield and thus from one relatively expensive plastic can be formed.
- the insertion slot is a branch point has, in which preferably a straight section of the insertion slot with a circular Section for receiving the contact pins cuts.
- the straight insertion slot then extends from an open edge that opens towards the housing side Place in a straight line over the equipment facing side of the socket housing, he the circular section cuts and at the opposite Spot touched.
- the locking means are in this neighborhood in the neighborhood the junction where the straight part of the insertion slot the circular part of the insertion slot crosses. You prevent with the required security that a contact pin with a Contact is brought in while the other Contact pin is still outside the socket. This is achieved without the distance of the contact from the mouth of the insertion slot should be larger than the pin spacing. This makes the structure more delicate Sockets with low space and material requirements enables.
- the locking means are preferably in one piece on the Socket housing formed, the locking means through a resilient housing section can be formed, which narrows the insertion slot so far that the contact pin only by widening the insertion slot this area can be pushed.
- the resilient Housing sections can be both one-sided and also on both opposing slot flanks of the insertion slot.
- overall four locking means are provided, each in pairs are arranged adjacent to the contact.
- the locking means can by a plastic trained socket housing provided spring section be formed at its free end a narrowing of the insertion slot defining locking cams sits.
- a plastic trained socket housing provided spring section be formed at its free end a narrowing of the insertion slot defining locking cams sits.
- circular arc-shaped path at least in the area of the locking means can be on the socket housing on the locking means a device for supporting the contact pin be provided. This can be done by means of protrusions, ribs and other investment areas are formed.
- the electrical contacts are preferably in the insertion slot is mounted so that it faces its flank are resilient. Are you just trained simple forms of contact are ensured, whereby they occupy a relatively long slot area.
- the locking means nevertheless ensure protection against contact. It is also possible to use contacts with protrusions, Bends or the like to provide the Interacting contact pins snap together.
