Definitions
- the invention relates to a terminal for electrical conductors, with one for guiding Force current provided contact element, one the conductor in electrical and mechanical Connection with the contact element, in the material of the material of the contact element various clamping spring and a the contact element and the clamping spring receiving insulating housing with an insertion opening for the conductor.
- connection terminal with these features can be found in DE-PS 18 12 896.
- Clamp spring is used a V-shaped leaf spring, which with a V-leg against Housing or the contact element abuts and with the other V-leg one through the Presses the insertion opening into the inserted conductor against the contact element, wherein the conductor lies along a contact line against the contact element.
- the present invention has for its object a new terminal to create the type mentioned with improved contact security.
- connection terminal which solves this problem is characterized in that that the contact element has a first profile section with a to the insertion opening aligned insertion opening and one of the first profile section in the insertion direction has angled second profile section, and that the clamping spring on a free End is connected to the contact element, itself in the arch above the first profile section extends and with the other free end through the plug opening to the conductor to press against the second profile section.
- a connection terminal with such plug-in clamping devices is made possible by the fixed connection the clamping spring at a free end with the contact element and the leadership of other free end of the spring in the plug-in direction of the conductor through the plug-in opening of the contact element through the exercise of large, ensuring a high level of contact security Clamping forces.
- the second profile section has a contact edge to form an almost punctiform contact between the conductor and the contact element on. This measure results in a high surface pressure. With extensive Contact of the conductor against the contact element would occur as a result of low surface pressure easily at the contact point for corrosion and finally to break the electrical connection of conductor and contact element.
- the point of application is expediently located in a vertical projection onto the central longitudinal axis of the conductor the clamping spring on the conductor in the direction of insertion behind the contact edge.
- the leader is thereby on a linear contact against the contact element before it touches the contact edge reached, hindered.
- the clamping spring with the contact element connected to a third profile leg bent from the first profile leg, preferably riveted.
- the clamping spring preferably has an angled direction at the other end the second profile section, through which one is provided for all the conductor cross sections provided almost punctiform and therefore reproducible power transmission from the clamping spring is secured on the conductor.
- the edge of the plug opening is opposite to the plug direction arranged a tongue in front of the second profile section, which is a guide for the forms the front end of the conductor to be connected and thus introduces the conductor into the Plug opening easier.
- the insertion opening on the insulating case is as that Conductor leading conductor channel, preferably with a constriction at the plug opening of the contact element facing end.
- the insulating housing at the insertion opening for the conductor another opening aligned with the plug opening on the insulating housing for the introduction of a tool to loosen the clamping spring at an acute angle the electrical and mechanical connection of the conductor and contact element is provided.
- This further opening is useful as a narrowing, holding the inserted tool Tool channel formed. While the tool, preferably a normal one Screwdriver, inserted in the plug channel and held there, it holds the Clamp spring away from the conductor so that the conductor is released and out of the plug opening and the insertion opening can be easily pulled out. Conversely, the Insert the ladder into the openings and into the clamping positions with little effort move. The clamp connection is then made by pulling the screwdriver. Due to the tool engaging the spring at an acute angle, large spring forces can be exerted be overcome, i.e. the connection terminal allows the use of strong, for Clamping conductors with a relatively large cross section of suitable springs.
- connection terminal has a plurality of plug openings and clamping springs for the plug connection of several conductors on and from the second Profile section of the contact element extends at least one tongue, which in a clamping cage is guided, wherein the tongue, the clamping cage and one against the tongue, in a screw in the clamping cage rotatable clamping screw form. While the plug-in clamps with the springs for connecting conductors with Smaller cross-section can serve, the screw terminal devices leave the connection of conductors with a larger cross section.
- the conductor channel and possibly the tool channel run in a projection extending from the insulating housing and has on it the End facing away from the plug opening has a radial opening.
- the conductor channel is preferred open at the entrance end approximately half-sided to one side of the insulating housing, in which an access opening for the clamping screw is formed.
- Such a channel which is half open at its entrance, forms the Terminal, in which the fitter on the housing side with the access opening looking for the clamp screw, an orientation to find the entrance opening, the half-open conductor channel then as a guide for a targeted introduction to a desired opening serves.
- the conductor channel and the tool channel are to the axis of rotation the clamping screw inclined. Furthermore, the conductor channel and the tool channel are open a side of the insulating housing which is perpendicular to the housing side with the access opening arranged.
- the conductor can thus advantageously be connected at an angle to the distribution box.
- the tongue for the screw clamping device extends from the second profile section at least one tongue with an insertion opening for one leg of a connecting bridge for connecting the contact element with the contact element of another Terminal.
- a connection strip can be made from several connection terminals, especially PE / N terminal block.
- the insulating housing is preferably in several parts with a base part and one in the base part insertable and snap-in plug part. With the insertion of the plug part in the The base part is the unit comprising the contact element and the clamping springs in the Insulated housing included and fixed there. The conductor channel and the Tool channel formed in the plug part.
- connection terminal 1 in the figures is an insulating plastic housing of a connection terminal designated.
- the connection terminal is in the exemplary embodiment shown a module for the formation of a PE / N terminal.
- This module can be connected via connector lugs 2 and 3 plugged onto a carrier strip and electrically, as below will be explained, with another such, arranged adjacent to the support bar Module.
- the plastic housing 1 is in two parts with a housing part 4 and one on the housing part 4 detachable housing part 5 is formed.
- lugs 6 and 7 which are visible in FIG. 4 snap into corresponding locking recesses 8 and 9 on the housing part 4.
- FIGS. 6 and 7 Between the housing parts 4 and 5 is the unit shown separately in FIGS. 6 and 7 from a contact element 10 and clamping springs connected to the contact element 10 11 enclosed and fixed in the housing 1.
- the contact element 10 engages in a Recess 40 in a housing wall 41 and also lies against an intermediate wall 42 of the housing 1.
- the contact element 10 is a Part stamped out of copper sheet and then processed for further shaping a profile section 12, which is used for connection to the clamping springs 11, with the Contact element 10 each having a spring part 13 comprising three springs 11 is connected.
- the single ones Springs 11 are formed by slots 14.
- the profile section 12 of the contact element 10 is closed against the profile section 12 profile section 15 angled at approximately 60 °.
- the contact element 10 is bent through approximately 120 ° and goes into a profile section with a part 16 which is parallel to the profile section 12 extends, and a part 20 which extends approximately perpendicular to the profile section 15.
- the springs 11 have a bend 43.
- Plug-in openings 17 each have a tongue 19 which is formed when the contact element 10 is bent as a result of lateral slits made from the plug openings 17 during punching stepping out.
- the tongues 21 point towards the inside of the cage 22 Page a surface profiling 25.
- the cage 22 is opposite to that Tongue 21 provided with a surface profile 39.
- the spring parts 13 are riveted to the contact element 10 at three or two points, respectively rivet pins 26 protruding from the profile section 12 of the contact element 10 by press molding of the stamped copper sheet are formed.
- each of the conductor channels 27 is a further channel 28 for inserting a tool, i.e. a screwdriver 29 (Fig. 3) assigned.
- Both the conductor channel 27 and the tool channel 28 extend obliquely to one Outer wall 30 of the housing part 5.
- the Channels 27, 28 partially in a protruding from the wall 30 of the housing part 5 a web 44 supported projection 31, in particular the conductor channel 27 on its projecting end is radially half open and the radial end opening one to the outer wall 30 facing vertical outer wall 50 of the housing 1.
- each conductor channel 27 or each plug opening 17 such a seat is assigned.
- conductor channels 27 and the tool channels there are also two in the housing part 5 conductor channels 35 aligned for the tongues 21 or the cages 22 for conductors with a larger one Cross section formed.
- the cages 22 of the screw clamp connection mentioned above are by means of screws 36 movable, the rotation of the screws 36 in the outer wall 50 of the housing 1 Access openings 37 are formed.
- plug openings 38 for inserting one leg of a connecting bridge for the electrical connection of Modules provided, which engages in the insertion opening 24 of the tongues 23.
- connection terminal described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7 is described below explained.
- PE / N terminals installed in a distribution box of the terminal modules described in FIGS. 1 to 7 by means of the lugs 2 and 3 fastened on a carrier strip mechanically connecting the modules and the Modules electrically via connecting bridges engaging in the plug openings 24 and 38 connected with each other.
- the plug-in clamping devices formed by the contact element 10 and the springs 11 can be used to connect conductors with cross sections of up to 4 mm 2 .
- the end of the conductor 18 which is freed from insulation 39 is passed through one of the conductor channels 27, the end of the conductor first striking the protruding tongue 19 of the contact element 10, through which it is guided into the plug-in opening 17, in order to counteract the angled portion 43 thereof to compress the conductor 18 adjacent spring 11.
- the end of the conductor finally reaches the seat 34. In this position, the conductor is pressed by the spring 11 against the contact edge 45 of the contact element 10, so that it only abuts against the contact element 10 at certain points while generating a high surface pressure.
- the high surface pressure prevents corrosion and thereby ensures a low contact resistance between the conductor 18 and the contact element 10 over long periods of use.
- the free end of the bend 43 is, in relation to the longitudinal axis of the conductor 18, in the direction of insertion seen, even with the smallest approved for use for the connection terminal Conductor cross-section still behind the contact edge 45.
- This allows a line-shaped Contact of the conductor 18 against the Profilabismeeil 16 and the tongue 19 of the contact element Avoid 10.
- Such a line or even planar contact of the conductor against the contact element would reduce the surface pressure in such a way that contact would result from corrosion between the conductor 18 and the contact element 10 after a relatively short time get lost.
- the projection protruding from the wall 30 of the housing part 5 and extending the conductor channel 27 31 ensures a long, extending from the contact edge 45 to the inlet opening of the conductor channel 27 extending lever arm, which prevents that when force is applied the conductor 18 lifts off the contact edge 45 outside the connecting terminal of the conductor 18 and current inadmissibly flows only via the spring 11, which heat the spring and its would eliminate elasticity.
- the intermediate webs form 32 a useful guide.
- a guide is formed through which the conductor unerringly into the desired conductor channel can be introduced. It would only be conductor channel inlet openings opening towards the smooth outer wall 30 in the assembly position of the connection terminal within a PE / N strip for the fitter not visible and the insertion of a conductor into a desired opening accordingly difficult.
- Screwdriver presses against the spring 11 at an acute angle and thereby raises the angle 43 with the free spring end of the conductor 18.
- the leader can now be effortlessly pull out of the plug opening 17 and the conductor channel 27.
- the opposite of the tongue 19 Edge of the plug opening 17 forms a stop for the spring 11 at 29, the one excessive compression of the spring 11 prevented by the screwdriver 29.
- the Dimensions of the tool channel 28 are adapted to the screwdriver 29, so that this is held in the plug position shown in Fig. 3 in the channel.
- the conductor 18 can be relatively despite the large clamping force push slightly into the plug position shown in Fig. 2 by bending the spring 11.
- a conductor can also be connected to the terminal using the screwdriver 29 first brought into the position shown in Fig. 3, the conductor then through the Conductor channel 27 and the insertion opening 17 inserted into the housing 1 until it stops at the seat 34 and finally by pulling the screwdriver 29 the electrical and mechanical Plug connection is established.
- a high clamping force holds the conductor in place so that it does not move to one place can on which the contact element is already corroded.
