- the drive gear 140, the drive shaft 110 and the pinion 120 also rotate to a relatively large extent and move the rack 80 along the Front wall 40 of the pocket 10 relatively far upwards.
- the lifting cam 20 When the movable portion 192 of the lift cam 20 is positioned relatively high, as shown in FIG 10 is shown schematically in broken lines, then the lifting cam 20 has one relatively low stroke.
- the lifting cam roller 156 on the toothed segment 150 experiences at Contact with the lifting cam 20 relatively little upward movement. As a result, they rotate Parts of the gear train, d. H. the gear segment 150, the drive gear 140 and the Pinion 120 to a lesser extent.
- the rack 80 moves along the Front wall 40 of the pocket 10 is not so far up. Foot 90 takes a position one that is relatively far from the upper end 50 of the pocket 10. Relative portrait sheet material can then be deposited in the pockets 10 and on rest the foot 90 with the top of the sheet material relative to the top End 50 of the pocket 10 is in the desired position.
- the Tooth segment 150 can be rotated by approx. 45 °. This amount of rotation is enough to rack 80 slightly beyond the "closed lower" position shown in FIG. 7 to raise. Around rack 80 to the closed top shown in FIG To lift position, the lift cam 20 would be set to a stroke that it allows the tooth segment 150 to be rotated by approximately 100 °. This level of stroke for the Lift cam 20 is not shown in the drawings for the sake of clarity.
- the lifting cam 20 can be adjusted during operation. That means that the stroke of the Lift cam 20 is adjustable while the collation system 12 is running and the Move pockets 10 along loop 16.
