Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dispenser for dispensing a flowable Medium according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • toothbrush handle as a reservoir body for one Dentifrice stock provided to dentifrice a toothbrush head to be fed as needed.
  • the reservoir body contains a snug one Piston with a central threaded bore.
  • An outer screw head which can be operated by a user carries one with it a threaded rod that cooperates with the bore in the piston. By turning the screw head, the piston is caused to move along the bar so that dentifrice is dispensed becomes.
  • the disadvantage here is that the threaded piston rod is highly susceptible to contamination and air from the piston, Bacteria and dirt can get into the dentifrice. Moreover refilling is complicated and the system as a whole is very susceptible to wear.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a donor of the type mentioned create that is simple and low-wear.
  • the piston because its elastic deformability also along areas of curvature is movable. Therefore, such can also be used as storage containers that have curve or curvature sections. Further the piston can be adapted to any cross-section of the reservoir.
  • the piston has a shrinking peripheral surface, since this creates a labyrinth seal on the inner wall of the storage container.
  • a wrinkled peripheral surface allows the piston can be easily inserted into the storage container because the in the Air contained in the reservoir can still escape.
  • the various fill up Grooving the wrinkled peripheral surface with this medium leads to leads to an airtight seal.
  • the crumpled peripheral surface is preferably finely grooved by using a fine-pored soft foam, whose closed pores create unevenness on the peripheral surface, which, as a whole, result in shriveliness.
  • the foam section used as a piston is preferably through Preserve cut to length. So that the flowable medium facing longitudinal side has a closed-pore surface, takes place cutting to length preferably by thermal cutting. This causes that the flowable medium is not in the open pores of the piston can accumulate.
  • the piston can be a cut to length of an extruded foam strand his. It is therefore cheap and quick to manufacture.
  • the piston can also have a spherical shape, since such a shape is the lubricity of the piston in curved sections further improved.
  • Preferred foam materials are polyethylene or polypropylene, that are not adhesive and therefore on the inside of the storage container Do not adhere to the medium to be discharged.
  • a pump device is preferred as the discharge device, one simple piston pump or positive displacement pump can be used which is the dispenser reliable and low maintenance.
  • the storage container can consist of a rigid or flexible material, being the use of flexible material the training set as well as variable areas of curvature along which the Piston is slidable.
  • the dispenser is for the discharge of pasty, viscous or liquid Suitable substances and can be installed in handling devices.
  • the reservoir can for example be designed as a toothbrush handle or can be used in this, and the discharge device one on the toothbrush head feed the ending feed channel.
  • FIG. 1 shows a dispenser 1 for discharging a flowable medium, in particular a pasty, viscous or liquid substance, with a cylindrical storage container 2, which has a lot of flowable Medium.
  • the cylindrical storage container 2 can consist of one rigid or flexible material, for example glass or plastic, exist and preferably has a round or elliptical cross section on.
  • the reservoir 2 can be an elongated hollow body with essentially constant internal cross-section any cross-sectional shape have.
  • the discharge device is 3 a piston pump is provided by depressing a protruding one Piston tappet 4 flowable medium from the reservoir 2 via a Suction inlet 5 sucks and outputs via a suction outlet 6.
  • the suction outlet 6 is preferably provided on the piston tappet 4.
  • the reservoir 2 further contains a movable in the longitudinal direction Piston 7, the circumferential side on an inner wall 8 of the storage container 2 is applied and on the bottom side to a removable amount of flowable Medium in the reservoir 2 connects.
  • the piston 7 is a loose used bottom for the contained in the reservoir 2 flowable medium.
  • Such a piston 7 is a follower piston due to the suction effect of the discharge device 3 and the resulting vacuum is tightened.
  • the piston 7 is formed by a cylinder section from a circumference closed pore soft foam with little or none Adhesiveness.
  • the piston 7 is one with respect to the inner cross section of the storage container 2 slightly oversize peripheral surface provided so that the piston 7 along the inner wall 8 is slippery. Since the piston 7 with a certain excess circumference bears on the inner wall 8, this has an outline that is related to the Adapts cross-section of the reservoir 2 and changes with small changes in the cross-section in areas of curvature of the storage container 2 due to the elastic deformability of a soft foam finally changed.
  • any cross-sectional shapes can thus also be used for the storage container 2 can be selected if a rough shape adjustment of the piston 7 is made is the application of the circumferential surface of the piston 7 under tension ensures. Fine adjustments are due to the elastic structure of the Material not required. The piston 7 performs this in self-adaptation.
  • the piston 7 preferably consists of a predominantly closed-pore soft foam, namely of a fine-pore, soft-elastic foam which is elastically reversibly deformable.
  • the bulk density of the foam is preferably in the range between 30 to 70 kg / m 3 for a polymer polyethylene.
  • the polyethylene is also preferably extrusion crosslinked.
  • the circumferential surface of the piston 7 is also preferably made to be shriveled, which can be adjusted via the porosity of the soft foam. Such a shriveled peripheral surface allows a labyrinth seal between the piston 7 and the inner wall 8 of the storage container 2, so that the flowable medium contained in the storage container 2 lies in an interior 9 of the storage container 2 which is closed by the piston 7.
  • the labyrinth seal thus formed allows that when the piston 7 is inserted into the storage container 2 and moved into a coherent connection with the medium contained in the storage container 2, air can initially still escape. However, if a small portion of the flowable medium gets into the shriveled peripheral surface, its grooves fill, so that the labyrinth seal becomes effective.
  • the piston 7 is preferably produced by cutting cylinder sections to length from an extruded soft foam strand. This cutting to length is preferably done by a thermal cut, so that the long sides have a closed-pore surface, especially on the side 14 of the piston facing the flowable material 7.
  • the piston 7 can also be injection molded and thus also in crowned Molds are made.
  • Preferred soft foam material is polyethylene or polypropylene, since these are plastic materials that have no or at most only have low adhesiveness. Furthermore, these materials extruded or injection molded with a closed-pore surface.
  • the interior 9 filled with flowable medium is reduced in size an output of flowable material, the piston 7 being coherent follows, until the piston 7 on the discharge device 3rd has advanced (see FIG. 2 position (C) of the piston 7).
  • An empty one Storage container 2 can by removing the piston 7, refilling flowable medium and renewed insertion of the piston on the bottom 7 to be refilled.
  • the dispenser 1 described above can be installed in handling devices especially in donor toothbrushes. As in FIg. 1 shown the dispenser 1 can immediately form a toothbrush handle, wherein a toothbrush head attachment 10 is attached.
  • This toothbrush head attachment 10 includes a toothbrush head neck 11 and a toothbrush head plate 12 with bristles 13. A through the toothbrush head neck 11 and feed channel 15 terminating at the toothbrush head plate 12 is fed via the suction outlet 6 of the discharge device 3.
  • the toothbrush head attachment 10 can be attached to the dispenser 1 in a known manner be, if necessary, sit on the piston rod 4, so that by a Moving toothbrush head attachment 10 and dispenser 1 together Discharge device 3 is operated.
  • Other known actuators and connection types of dispenser 1 and attachment 10 can be used.
  • Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of the dispenser 1, the differs from that shown in Fig. 1 in that the reservoir 2 is not formed in a straight line, but with a section of curvature is provided.
  • the storage container 2 can have one or more have such curvature sections.
  • the piston 7 can along such sections of curvature slide and its task as following Fill the floor for the flowable medium to be dispensed.
  • an initial position of the piston 7, which is denoted by (A) and in which the Reservoir 2 is completely filled with the flowable material, further positions (B) and (C) of the piston 7 are shown in dashed lines.
  • Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which the dispenser 1 in one Toothbrush handle 16 is inserted. Sitting on the toothbrush handle 16 a toothbrush neck 17 which carries a toothbrush head 18 on the head side. A channel 19 is guided through the toothbrush neck 17 and is in an output opening 20 ends in the toothbrush head 18.
  • the dispenser 1 is so in the toothbrush handle 16 mounted that the piston tappet 4 against stop surfaces 21 of the channel 19 is movable.
  • the dispenser 1 axail can be moved. Since the Dispenser 1 with the piston tappet 4 pushes against the stop surfaces 21, is by the pushing action exerted on the push button 22 of the piston tappet 4 depressed and thus the discharge device 3 actuated.
  • the push button 22 can be attached to the toothbrush handle 16 by means of a screw cap 23.
