On peut constater sur la figure 2, que dans cette position du dispositif de réglage, la droite d dessinée en traits mixtes joignant les axes d'articulation 7 et 9, entre d'une part, les deux maillons 6 et 8 et, d'autre part, le maillon 8 et le reste du bracelet, passe à une certaine distance de l'axe 5 de pivotement du maillon de réglage 6 sur le capot 2c du fermoir, formant ainsi un bras de levier autour de l'axe 5. Le côté de cet axe 5 où se situe ce bras de levier est choisi pour créer un couple tendant à faire tourner le maillon de réglage 6 dans le sens de la flèche F1, lorsqu'une traction est exercée sur le bracelet dans le sens de la flèche F2 (fig. 2). Ce couple tend à maintenir le maillon de réglage 6 croché dans le logement 8c du maillon 8. Pour le décrocher, il suffit d'exercer sur l'axe 9 du maillon 8 à l'extrémité de la partie 1b du bracelet (fig. 1), une traction dans le sens de la flèche F3 (fig. 2), après quoi le maillon de réglage peut pivoter dans le sens de la flèche F4 en exerçant sur le maillon 8 une traction dans le sens de F2 (fig. 3). Claims (8)

  1. A device for adjusting the length of a bracelet having a clasp (2) made of folding arms (2a,2b,2c) arranged between the two ends (1a,1b) of the bracelet to form therewith an endless attachment whose length can vary between two values, one where said folding arms are folded, the other where they are unfolded, comprising an adjustment link (6) having two parallel articulation axes (5,7) transversal to the attachment, these two articulation axes being associated respectively with one of said folding arms (2c,) of said clasp and with a second link (8) of the attachment to allow, by pivoting of said adjustment link (6) about one (5) of said axes (5,7), inversion of the respective positions of these two articulation axes (5,7) relative to one another along said attachment to hence define two determined adjusted lengths of this attachment,said second link (8) associated with one of said articulation axes (5,7) comprising locking means (8d,8'd,8"d,8*d) arranged in the trajectory described by a portion of said adjustment link (6) when it pivots from its position corresponding to the longer adjusted length to the position corresponding to the shorter adjusted length of the attachment, to come into engagement with said portion of this adjustment link (6) in its position corresponding to the shorter adjusted length of said attachment.
  2. An adjustment device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that said locking means (8d,8'd,8''d,8*d) are elastic means.
  3. An adjustment device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that said locking means (8d,8'd,8"d,8*d) are solid with said second link (8,8',8'',8*) of said attachment, articulated on the one hand to one (7) of the transverse axes (5,7) of said adjustment link (6) and on the other hand to one end (1b) of the bracelet, and said adjustment link (6) has an abutment (6a) adapted to limit angular displacement thereof against a face of the arm (2c) of the clasp (2) to which it is articulated, in the position in which said adjustment link (6) defines the longer adjusted length.
  4. An adjustment device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that when said adjustment link (6) is in engagement with said locking means (8d,8'd,8''d,8*d), the pivoting axis (5) of this adjustment link (6) is situated on one side of a straight line passing through the two articulation axes (7,9) of said second link (8,8',8'',8*) selected such that a tractive force (F2) exerted in the direction of this straight line generates, about the pivoting axis (5) of said adjustment link, a couple tending to hold this link (6) in engagement with said locking means (8d,8'd,8"d,8*d).
  5. An adjustment device according to claim 3, characterized by the fact that when said abutment (6a) of said adjustment link (6) bears against said face of the clasp's arm (2c), the pivoting axis (5) of this adjustment link (6) is situated on one side of a straight line passing through the two articulation axes (7,9) of said second link (8,8',8'',8*) selected such that a pressure (F6) exerted in the direction of this straight line generates, about the pivoting axis (5) of said adjustment link (6), a couple tending to turn said adjustment link (6) from its position corresponding to the longer adjusted length to the other position corresponding to the shorter adjusted length of said attachment.
  6. An adjustment device according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the elasticity of said locking means (8,8*d) is provided by a curved blade (8a,8*a) of said second link (8,8*), the locking means (8d,8*d) being arranged at one end of this curved blade (8a,8*a).
  7. An adjustment device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that the elastic locking means (8'd) are fitted on said second link (8').
  8. An adjustment device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that said second link (8,8',8",8*) has a recess (8c) for receiving said adjustment link (6) in the locking position of the adjustment link (6).
