Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a conveyor brushes. It also targets a needling machine equipped with this conveyor.
  • the velvet needlers as described in document FR-A-2 657 093 include a conveyor brushes which has the function of carrying and training a textile fiber sheet under a steel plate called stripper and provided with perforations through which a set of needles alternately enter the tablecloth and in the conveyor brushes.
  • Brushes articulated of this conveyor welcome during needling, within their tufts of hair, fibers entrained by the needles and thus contribute obtaining a textile product having a state of velvet type surface.
  • the brushes of substantially parallelepiped shape, are oriented and aligned perpendicular to the direction the web of fibers. These alignments create lineages in the direction perpendicular to the scrolling of the tablecloth.
  • the games between brushes create lineages in the other direction.
  • the object of the invention is to remedy these disadvantages by proposing a brush conveyor which allows obtaining a textile product having a better surface isotropy than that obtained with existing conveyors, and remove lineages.
  • the brush conveyor comprising an assembly of contiguous brushes constituting a conveying plane moving in a direction of predetermined conveying, each brush comprising a body of substantially elongated shape along an axis main and comprising means on its underside to connect the brush to a training device mechanical and on its upper face holes for receive tufts of hair and arranged in rows substantially parallel to the main axis, is characterized in that the brushes are arranged within of the conveyor so their main axes are parallel and inclined at an angle predetermined by relation to the direction perpendicular to the direction of conveying.
  • the brushes are no longer aligned in the direction perpendicular to the scrolling of the product. He becomes possible to plan a regular implantation of tufts of hair while avoiding creating alignments tufts that would be parallel or perpendicular to conveying or scrolling direction, experience having shown that the existence of such alignments contributed to the birth of marking defects in the product.
  • the brush conveyor further includes, under training device, a set of belts driven by means of motorization, and under means for mechanically connecting the brushes to the device drive, a set of connecting rails arranged perpendicular to the conveying direction and integral with the belts, each rail being designed to receive a transverse row of contiguous brushes.
  • Each brush further includes, at its body, a slide arranged to receive a rail of connection, this slide being oriented relative to the main axis of the brush so that the brush has a predetermined tilt angle relative to to the axis perpendicular to the conveying direction.
  • a velvet needle loom comprising means needling provided to penetrate according to a reciprocating a set of needles across a stripper in a supported fiber sheet and driven by a brush conveyor according to the invention.
  • a brush conveyor 1 may include, as non-limiting example, two drive cylinders 2, 3 provided to drive several belts 5, 8, 9. A these belts are fixed to the connecting rails 4, 6, 7 arranged transversely to the direction of displacement or conveying D. These rails pass through each a row 100-104 of contiguous brushes transversely. Set 10 of conveyor brushes between the two drive cylinders 2, 3 a conveyor plan P for which the games are sought weakest possible between contiguous brushes so to obtain an ongoing surface finish for the needled product. For reasons of clarity of the Figure 1, only the brush bodies have been shown.
  • these bodies of brush have an elongated hexagonal shape and are designed to allow easy nesting of contiguous bodies and so that the rotation of the transverse rows of brushes no problem with the cylinders 2, 3.
  • a brush body 11 on which are normally implanted tufts of hair 120 is surrounded by at most six other brushes.
  • Each body of brush has a main axis AI inclined at an angle ⁇ with respect to the transverse direction AT perpendicular to the direction of movement D. En practical, this angle of inclination can be chosen less than 10 degrees.
  • a brush 21 has a body 29 having on its upper face a set of holes 210 provided to each receive a tuft of hairs 200 and on its underside a longitudinal recess making slide 281 intended to receive a rail of profile type connection.
  • This slide includes preferably side housings 280, 281 provided for receive keys when all the brushes of a same transverse row were coupled to the rail of liaison.
  • the axis of this slide is parallel to the transverse direction AT perpendicular to the direction of displacement D, while the main axis AI of the brush, to which the longitudinal rows are parallel of receiver holes, is it inclined at an angle tilt ⁇ from the transverse direction AT.
  • the body 29 is elongated hexagonal in shape and has walls wavy side 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 which come flush with the receiving holes on the periphery of the body 29. These side walls provide some so a form of interlocking contiguous brushes between them without hampering the rotation of these around the drive cylinders.
  • the receiving holes can be arranged on the upper face of a brush body 21 at the nodes of a centered hexagonal array, so that each hole is equidistant from its neighbor, as shown in Figure 2A which partially represents a conveying plane 20 consisting of a set of inclined brushes in shape hexagonal.
  • These inclined brushes have an axis main AI which constitutes the common direction of longitudinal rows of receiving holes and is tilted of an angle of inclination ⁇ relative to the direction transverse AT.
  • the main axes A1, A2, A3 the rows of holes are neither parallel nor perpendicular to the direction of travel D.
  • a conveyor plane 30 consists of the assembly of brushes with two body shapes.
  • a first body shape 31 is rectangular, this body comprising on its upper face rows of longitudinal holes parallel to the main axis AI of brushes which is tilted at an angle of tilt ⁇ by compared to the transverse direction AT.
  • a second form body 36 includes a rectangle of the same dimensions as those of the first form of body to which is added an additional row of truncated holes 360 including for example one hole less than the others rows.
  • the side walls 32-35, 37-39 are smooth and the receiving holes are arranged on the upper face of each brush so that they occupy the nodes of a square network.
  • the brushes are juxtaposed to form a continuous conveying plan.
  • This layout configuration has two axes principal A'1, A'2 which are neither parallel nor perpendicular to the direction of movement D, because the inclination of the main axis AI of the brushes.
  • a brush body 40 having walls wavy side 41-46 has, with reference to the Figure 4, a recess 403 over the entire length of this body 40.
  • This recess has a main axis AI inclined with respect to the transverse axis AT and made slide function to receive a connecting rail 400 of profile type and keys 401, 402 in suitable accommodation.
  • An equivalent fixing method can be used for brushes whose body 56 has walls longitudinal side 53, 56 parallel and smooth and ends of substantially triangular shape, the corresponding side walls 51, 52, 54, 55 being crenellated to adjoin the receiving holes located at the periphery of the body.
  • this body 50 also has a recess 57 provided for receiving a connecting rail of profile type and keys in housings 58, 59.
  • the main axis of this AI recess is also inclined relative to the transverse axis AT.
  • the invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described and numerous arrangements can be brought to these examples without departing from the framework of the invention. So we can provide other forms than those described for the brush bodies.
  • the number of rows and holes on a body can be any and is not limited by the present invention. The same is true for the number of brushes and the organization of these brushes.
  • the angle tilt can be chosen according to quality considerations of the needled product on the basis of tests or simulations.
  • holes of any shape especially circular, elliptical or even holes oblong, and various modes of fixing tufts of bristles within the holes of the brush bodies, for example, by stapling, gluing, or by welding.
