Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for rewetting a fresh printed and dried printing material web with one in a downstream area from the dryer, preferably in the area between Dryer and cooler, arranged, with an inlet slot and an outlet slit, through which the printing material web passes Housing in which the above and below the transport level Printing material web arranged, which can be acted upon by a dampening agent Spray nozzles are provided.
- DE 44 05 332 A1 discloses a device of this type which is arranged between the dryer and the cooling device. At this known arrangement run the substrate in the area of the input and Exhaust slot crossing housing walls at its lower end free out. There is therefore a risk that the in the form of Splashes of liquid or mist on the walls and / or the liquid condensing on the walls from the lower ones Edges of the walls of the upper one crossing the printing material web Drains the housing area and reaches the printing material web. Such When the printing material web is moving, drops can mark on it to lead. In the event of a train stop, paper can be used Drops of printing material falling down to soften of the paper so that there is an increased risk of breakage when restarting consists.
- Another disadvantage of the known arrangement is that that moisture in the form of liquid splashes over the web outlet slot and / or fog and / or steam can escape to the outside.
- This Danger can be reduced by reducing the clear slot width reduce but not eliminate.
- the slot width must not be too small, since the printing material web, caused by the application of liquid to flutter movements can not be excited to avoid damage may come into contact with the slot edges.
- the known Arrangement can therefore lead to an undesirable liquid precipitation in the area and especially on the rollers of the downstream cooling device come, which negatively affects the cooling effect can influence.
- the known arrangement therefore does not prove to be reliable and safe enough.
- the drip catchers on the lower edges of the transverse walls of the upper one Housing area and the drainage of the liquid accumulating in the housing make sure that the printing material web only with the spray nozzles atomized liquid and not with large accumulations of liquid is applied, so that the printing material web only re-moistened, but is not contaminated or softened, which increases operational safety and improved the work result.
- the drip catchers can expediently be designed as at least closed, tubes provided with at least one upper row of holes be, each with a textile material, preferably velvet, existing stocking are covered. These measures result in a particularly high reliability. Due to the capillary effect of the textile Material is the collected liquid through the holes in the pipes fed and thus initiated into this. The use of velvet results in particularly good absorbency.
- the pipes with suction draft acting as drip catchers can expediently be used be acted upon. This will make the textile stocking absorbent supports and reliable drainage of the collected liquid ensured.
- the housing two detachable, designed as upper and lower part Has housing parts, which in the mutually engaged state in the area the housing end faces are sealed against each other.
- This can advantageously be stationary be arranged. Nevertheless, it is ensured that the parallel to the direction no liquid on the front of the housing can leak. Since the housing width is larger than the web width, can the liquid which precipitates on the end faces mentioned Walk up and down without affecting the track.
- Another advantageous measure particularly in the case of between Dryer and the cooling device arranged remoistening device is preferable, may be that the housing above and below each a spray chamber containing the spray nozzles and one this nozzle-less downstream in the direction of the substrate Has condensation chamber.
- the nozzleless condensation chamber can excess liquid not absorbed by the printing material web evaporate from the hot substrate. This steam can condense on the walls of the condensation chamber without a disturbance of this condensation by sprayed from the spray nozzles Liquid can take place. This therefore ensures that the environment stays dry. Because of these measures, it is more advantageous Way also possible with the help of the condensation chambers connected exhaust air chimneys for reliable pressure equalization care and to avoid overpressure inside the housing.
- the housing of the rewetting device can expediently be by means of a holding device on the stand of the cooling device. This saves a separate stand.
- the spray nozzles can be used for further training of the higher-level measures as two-substance nozzles to which liquid and air can be applied be trained. This ensures that comparatively small Liquid droplets are formed, but with a comparatively high Energy are applied.
- the droplets mentioned therefore have one high penetration and can therefore be on the top and bottom easily penetrate the air layer adjacent to the substrate and reliably get onto the printing material web, so that this one experiences even rewetting.
- a web-fed rotary printing press for example a web-fed offset printing press, passes through the printed substrate 1, as indicated in FIG. 1, one downstream of the last printing unit Dryer 2, in which the fresh pressure is dried by the application of heat and then a cooling device 3, in which the heated in the dryer Printing material web 1 is cooled.
- the cooling device 3 consists in the Rule of cooling rollers 5 arranged in a cooling roller stand 4 Compensation for the material emitted in the dryer 2 from the printing material web Moisture is subjected to rewetting.
- FIG. 1 there is one in FIG. 1 between the dryer 2 and the cooling device 3 arranged, through which the printing material web 1 passes Remoistening device 6 is provided.
- This can be seen in FIG. 2 is, with above and below the substrate 1 arranged spray nozzles 7 for loading the printing material web with Provide remoistening liquid.
- the spray nozzles 7 are in a housing that is below the transport level of the Printing substrate 1 arranged lower housing part 8 and one on this attachable, above the transport level of the substrate 1 arranged upper housing part 9.
- the upper housing part 9 can be raised by means of a lifting device 10 lowerable. 1, indicated by broken lines in FIG. raised position of the upper housing part 9 is a simple and easy insertion of the substrate 1 possible.
- the two housing parts are designed so that there is one of the substrate web on the entry side 1 assigned inlet slot 11 and one on the outlet side Print substrate web 1 assigned outlet slot 12 result. On the across for this purpose, ie extending in the direction of travel of the web End walls are the two housing parts in the superimposed Condition sealed against each other by means of a suitable sealing strip 13.
- the lifting device 10 for lifting the upper housing part 9 consists in shown example from two arranged in parallelogram Swivel levers that can be actuated by means of a lifting cylinder.
- the pivot lever and the lifting cylinder are, as best shown in Figure 2 is recognizable, recorded on side consoles 14 with which the stationary housing lower part 8 attached to the stand 4 of the cooling device 3 is.
- the remoistening device 6 assign your own machine stand.
- the nozzles 7 provided in the lower housing part 8 and upper housing part 9, those in the form of a transverse to the direction of the printing substrate 1 Arranged in rows and distributed evenly across the width, 3, are supplied from a supply station 15.
- the Supply station 15 can be integrated in the remoistening device be.
- the example shown is a provided by lines with supply station connected to the respective consumers.
- nozzles 7 are designed as two-component nozzles with liquid, which is usually plain tap water can act, and air is applied. Accordingly, everyone is Nozzle 7 two supply lines 16, 17 for liquid and air assigned.
- the mixing ratio between liquid and air is adjustable. For this purpose there are corresponding metering valves in the supply lines 18, 19 arranged. This enables the mixing ratio to be adjusted of liquid and air to the respective paper quality.
- the spray nozzles 7 generate an aerosol-like spray. Equal time steam is generated.
- the printing material web 1 leaving the dryer 2 has namely a comparatively high temperature of often more than 100 ° C, so that a large amount of the impinging on the printing material web 1 Liquid is evaporated.
- an air jet 21 the opposite from above and below the transport direction of the printing material web 1 obliquely into the outlet gap 12 blows in and thus ensures that the printing material web 1 nothing can sweep along to the outside.
- the air doctor devices 20 operate in advantageously contactless and at the same time ensure that the Outlet gap 12 can have a comparatively large clear width, so that the printing material web 1 also in the event of fluttering with the gap edges does not come into contact.
- Air knife devices of the type mentioned above can also be used in the area of the inlet slot 11 may be provided. As a rule, however, this is not necessary because the layers of air entrained by the substrate already ensure that no liquid after through the inlet slot 11 can leak outside. It would also be conceivable in the area of the passage slots inner transverse walls of the housing such air doctor devices to provide. In normal cases, however, it is sufficient if, as shown in the Example, only the exit slot 12 air knife devices assigned.
- the air doctor devices 20 each consist of one over the whole Slot width or width of the rewetting device 6 continuous Tube that is outside the outlet slot 12 obliquely above or obliquely arranged below this and provided with nozzle bores, their axis with respect to a solder on the substrate web level in the direction of travel is tilted forward so that the obliquely in the outlet gap 12th rays 21 result.
- the nozzleless condensation chambers 24 result simultaneously a comparatively long one, the outlet slot 12 upstream Evaporation section, within the excess, from the substrate 1 not absorbed liquid can evaporate, causing the substrate web 1 heat is removed in a desired manner, which the downstream cooling device 3 can relieve.
- Spraying takes place in the spray chambers 22. On the walls of the spray chamber Therefore, in addition to steam, mist and splashes of liquid also strike down, which can lead to droplets indicated at 26.
- Condensation chambers 24 condense steam.
- the in the condensation chambers 24 evaporating from the substrate 1 Steam condenses on the relatively cold chamber walls, where collections can form, which are also shown in FIG Droplets 26 are indicated. This also applies to the exhaust air chimneys 25. This are expediently led beyond the spray chambers 23, so that result in comparatively cold zones in which condensation favors and thus the air is dried before exiting into the environment.
- the ceiling walls of the upper spray chamber 23 and Condensation chamber 24 are inclined obliquely, so that the attached forming droplets can run off without dripping.
- the Lower housing part 8 is a mirror image of upper housing part 9, so that there are accordingly inclined floor surfaces.
- the lower spray chamber 23 is in the deepest area with a bottom Provided output 27, which is connected to a drain line 28 to the Supply station 15 returns. As a result, the lower spray chamber 23 liquid running down to the supply station 15 returned.
- the lower exhaust stack 25 is equipped with a Provided liquid outlet 27, which is connected to the drain line 28 , so that also on the walls of the lower condensation chamber 24th and the lower exhaust chimney 25 running down liquid Supply station 15 is returned.
- the precipitation on the in the running direction of the substrate 1 itself extending walls of the upper housing part 9 can simply on the Pass the respective sealing strip downwards and so over the respective liquid outlet 27 are discharged because the housing is wider than the printing material web 1.
- the precipitation on the across Running direction of the printing material web 1 extending walls of the Upper housing part 9 is caught on the lower wall edge in order dripping onto the printing material web 1 and thus its contamination and prevent softening if necessary.
- Drip catcher 31 arranged on the respective associated wall Pick up and drain off the falling drops.
- the drip catchers 31 can be seen as the lower edge of the assigned wall Gutters. In the example shown, the drip catchers 31 tubular and attached to the assigned wall, that there is a small groove between the wall and the pipe circumference.
- the drip catchers 31 consist of how best FIG. 4 can be seen from an inner tube 32 on which a stocking 33 is made of textile material.
- the tube 32 is with one or provided several rows of holes 34 which are arranged so that the tube 32nd is closed down. In the example shown there is an upper row of holes 34 provided.
- the stocking 33 suitably consists of a close-knit Textile material, such as velvet. This is good absorbency guaranteed. Because of this absorbency, the extent of the so trained drip 31 collected liquid the holes of the Row of holes 34 fed through which the liquid enters the tube 32 and can be dissipated from this.
- the tubes of the drip catcher 31 be subjected to suction, as in FIG. 4 by an arrow 35 is indicated.
- the tubes 32 are closed at one end and connected at the other end to the suction port of a pump.
- a liquid separator can be provided before or after the pump, whose output can open into the drain line 28, so that the over the drip 31 collected liquid to the supply station 35 is returned.
