- this connector is characterized in that the electrically insulating material is overmolded around the contact rods, in that the shielding consists of two superimposed metal blocks comprising on their contacting surfaces bent channels receiving the contact rods surrounded by the electrically insulating material, these channels being shaped so that the shielding is interrupted in a rectilinear part of the elbow formed by the channels, this shielding interruption bringing the insulating material surrounding the contact rods into contact, without creating any empty space in areas where the shielding is interrupted.
- the shielding is made up of a number of parts reduced to two blocks and the insulating material is overmolded on the contact rods, the manufacture of the connector is both simple and inexpensive.
- the connector according to the invention comprises a series of metallic contact rods 1, spaced apart and bent, embedded in an electrically insulating material 2 which is itself surrounded by a metallic shield 3.
- the electrically insulating material 2 is overmolded around the contact rods 1, the shield 3 consists of two blocks metallic 4a, 4b, superimposed, having on their faces in contact bent channels 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c receiving the contact rods 1 surrounded by the electrically insulating material.
- These channels 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c are shaped so that the shielding is interrupted in a rectilinear part 7a, 7b, (see representation in dotted lines in FIG. 1) of the elbow formed by the channels 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c.
- shielding 7a, 7b brings the insulating material 2 surrounding the contact rods 1 into contact without creating any empty space in the area where the shielding is interrupted.
- the two metal blocks 4a, 4b of the shield 3 are molded.
- the contacting faces 8a, 8b of the two shielding blocks 4a, 4b are planar.
- each channel 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c, formed in one of the blocks 4a, 4b forms with the adjacent channel of the other block, a conduit of circular section which surrounds the insulating material and the contact rods 1.
- the shield 2 completely surrounds the insulating material 2 in a part of the elbow (that which is horizontal in FIG. 1) formed by the channels 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c.
- Parts 9a, 9b; 10a, 10b of the shielding comprised between two adjacent contact rods surrounded by the insulating material 2 are separated by a recess 12a, 12b.
- the recess 12a, 12b extends over the entire length of the parts 9a, 9b; 10a, 10b of shielding and is open at each of its ends.
- the recesses 12a, 12b each have a hole 13a, 13b for the passage of a connecting screw of the two shielding blocks 4a, 4b.
- the two shielding blocks 4a, 4b are substantially parallelepidedic and the channels 5a, 5b, 5c; 6a, 6b, 6c formed therein, open from two adjacent side faces 14, 15 located at right angles to each other.
- one of the shielding blocks 4a comprises, along one of its lateral faces, a protuberance 16 defining a shoulder 17 perpendicular to the plane P of assembly of the two blocks 4a, 4b.

- the shielding sockets 19 are put into place in the conduits 18a, 18b, 18c of the block 4a.
- pins 23 connected by a connecting spacer 24 are placed on the lateral face of the block 4b, from which the ends of the contact rods 1 project.
- the shielding blocks 4a, 4b are obtained by molding, they can be mass produced at a reduced cost.
- the interruption of the shielding in the zones 7a, 7b makes it possible to reduce the size of the connector and to place the contact rods 1 very close to one another.
- the cutting of the contact rods in a sheet and the overmolding of these by the insulating material also makes it possible to facilitate the manufacture of the connectors and to reduce their cost.
