- the present invention thus relates to a process for dyeing wool-containing fiber materials with anionic dyes, which is characterized in that these materials are dyed in the presence of a wool protection agent containing at least one acrylamide homo- or copolymer.
- the acrylamide homopolymers and copolymers are preferably used in the form of an aqueous preparation.
- the polymer used as an antisetting agent is, for example, an acrylamide homopolymer or a copolymer of acrylamide and acrylic acid or vinyl acetate.
- the preferred homo- and copolymers consist of 70 to 100% by weight of acrylamide and 0 to 30% by weight of acrylic acid or vinyl acetate, each based on the weight of the monomers. It is particularly preferred to use acrylamide / acrylic acid copolymers, and in particular those with an acrylamide content of 70 70% by weight, based on the weight of the monomers.

- Dyeing is preferably carried out by the so-called high-temperature process in closed, pressure-resistant apparatus at temperatures above 100 ° C., expediently between 110 and 125 ° C. and preferably at 118-120 ° C. and optionally under pressure.
- the mixed fiber materials can also be processed by the usual carrier dyeing process at temperatures below 106 ° C, e.g. in the temperature range from 75 to 98 ° C in the presence of one or more carriers.
- the dyeing of the polyester / wool mixed fiber materials can be carried out by first treating the material to be dyed with the wool protection agent and, if appropriate, the carrier, and then dyeing.
- the textile mixed fiber material is added to a liquor which contains the wool protection agent and, if appropriate, other conventional auxiliaries and a temperature of 40-50 ° C. and treats the material for 5 to 15 minutes at this temperature.
- the temperature is then increased to about 60 to 70 ° C., the dye is added, the mixture is slowly heated to the dyeing temperature and then dyeing is carried out at this temperature for about 20 to 60, preferably 30 to 45 minutes.
- the liquor is cooled to about 60 ° C and the colored material is worked up as usual.
- the antisetting effect of a wool protection agent can e.g. based on A.M. Wemyss and M.A. White, Proc. Ind. Japan-Australia, Joint Symp. On Objective Measurement, Kyoto (1985), page 165, can be determined by punching rondelle out of wool test fabric, folding it in the middle and sewing it together at the edge. The test specimens are then dyed in the pressed state in the presence of the wool protection agent, the fabric samples are then opened and one or more threads are pulled out in each case. After a recovery period in warm water, the angle of the threads is measured. The more the previously compressed yarn has opened and the closer the measured angle approaches 180 °, the better the anti-setting effect of the wool protection agent. A measured angle of approx. 90 to 180 ° and in particular 140 to 180 ° indicates a good anti-setting effect.
- the wool-containing fiber materials dyed in the presence of an antisetting agent according to the invention generally have increased fabric, tear and abrasion resistance, reduced hygral expansion and less deformation of the textile material are observed, and the fabric matted less and has a better grip.
- Parts mean parts by weight, percentages by weight.
- Example 1 100 parts of a wool fabric are in an Ahiba dyeing machine with a liquor containing 2.5 parts of a 1% solution of a copolymer of approx. 15% acrylic acid and 85% acrylamide (molecular weight approx. 2 million) and 0.75 Contains parts of an alkylaryl polyglycol ether sulfate (eg Albegal®FFA) in 2500 parts of water and is adjusted to pH 4.5 with acetic acid, 10 min. pretreated at 40 ° C. Then 1 part of a leveling agent (eg Albegal®SET), 2.5 parts of sodium acetate and 5 parts of Glauber's salt are added and the mixture is kept at this temperature for a further 10 minutes.
- a leveling agent eg Albegal®SET
- the liquor After adding 1 part of a dye mixture consisting of 5.5% by weight of the compound of the formula 1: 2 Cr complex, 23.2% by weight of the compound of the formula 1: 2 co-complex, 21% by weight of the compound of the formula asymmetric 1: 2 Cr complex, 32.7% by weight of the compound of the formula asymmetric 1: 2 Cr complex, and 17.6% by weight sulfite waste liquor, the liquor is heated to 80 ° C. at a heating rate of 1.5 ° C./min, held at this temperature for 15 minutes, further heated to boiling temperature (approx. 98 ° C.) and dyed at this temperature for 60 minutes. After cooling to 60 ° C, a post-wash is carried out in the usual way. You get a rub-fast, level, gray color with a low setting.
- EXAMPLE 2 The procedure is as described in Example 1 and, in addition to the 2.5 parts of the 1% strength solution of a copolymer of approx. 15% acrylic acid and 85% acrylamide (molecular weight approx. 2 million), 2.5 parts 35% strength H 2 O 2 solution, you also get colorations with good properties and a low setting.
- EXAMPLE 3 The procedure is as described in Example 2 and 2.5 parts of a 1% strength solution are used instead of the 2.5 parts of a 1% strength solution of a copolymer composed of approximately 15% acrylic acid and 85% acrylamide (molecular weight approx. 2 million) Solution of a polyacrylamide homopolymer with a molecular weight ⁇ 2 million, you also get colorations with good properties and a low setting.

Abstract
Description
Vorteilhaft verwendet man wässrige Lösungen bzw.
Wemyss und M.A. White, Proc. Ind.
