Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a timepiece, in particular a wristwatch, comprising a case in which a watch movement is housed.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a timepiece comprising a system for fixing the movement to the case which is simple and inexpensive.
  • the invention relates to a timepiece comprising a case and a movement comprising on at least part of its periphery a flange, the case comprising a middle part having an opening for introducing the movement and an internal wall, this internal wall defining a direction of introduction of the movement and a housing for this movement.
  • This timepiece is characterized in that the middle part is elastically deformable and in that the internal wall has a first projecting part and a second projecting part between which the edge of the movement is placed at least partially, these first and second projecting parts positioning the movement in said direction of introduction.
  • the first projecting part has, in a first region superimposed on said rim and situated on the side of said opening relative to a culminating region of this first projecting part, a profile, in a section plane parallel to said direction of introduction, the tangent of which at any point has an angular deviation relative to the direction of introduction which is less than 90 degrees.
  • the timepiece according to the invention it is possible to introduce the movement through said opening provided in the middle part and to put it in place by a simple pressure on it.
  • the elastic deformation capacity of the middle part together with the particular profile of the first projecting part allows the introduction of the movement by exerting sufficient pressure until the edge of this movement has passed the first projecting part.
  • the movement is then positioned by the first and second projecting parts.
  • the first projecting part is not provided around the entire periphery of said internal wall. This makes it possible to use the deformation capacity of the entire middle part to locally defeat the first protruding part when the movement is introduced into the case.
  • Various prototypes produced by the Applicant have demonstrated that, in this preferred embodiment, it is possible to keep for the middle part a sufficiently strong and hard material locally presenting only a low elasticity without damaging either the movement or the middle part, during the introduction of this movement.
  • the movement can be introduced either by the opening on the bottom side, or by the opening on the bezel side.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 a middle part belonging to a first embodiment of a watch according to the invention will be described below.
  • the middle part 2 is essentially of rectangular geometric shape comprising four rectilinear portions, in particular two longitudinal portions 4 and 6 aligned in the same longitudinal direction of the middle part 2.
  • this middle part is designed to be associated with a removable bottom by means of screws inserted into the screw holes 8.
  • This middle part 2 comprises a lower groove 10 intended to receive a seal and a hole 12 for the passage of a rod associated with the timepiece movement introduced into this middle part.
  • the middle part 2 also comprises four holes 14 for the passage of screws associated with the means for attaching the bracelet to the middle part, which will be described briefly below.
  • the middle part 2 also comprises an upper groove 16 intended to receive a seal in contact with the crystal (not shown) of the watch, this crystal pressing against the surface 18 of the middle 2 .
  • the middle part 2 comprises on its internal wall 20 preferably four projections 22, 23, 24 and 25 together forming a first projecting part of this middle part 2.
  • the internal wall 20 also has a second projecting part 28.
  • the protruding part 28 forms a flange of the watch and serves as a stop for a timepiece movement and its dial introduced into the middle as will be described more precisely below.
  • the internal wall 20 of the middle part 2 defines an opening 30 for introducing a movement inside the latter.
  • this internal wall 20 defines a direction of introduction 32 of said movement in this middle part, this internal wall also defining a housing 34 for said movement and said dial associated with the latter.
  • the first projecting part in particular the projection 24 in FIG. 2, has three distinct regions.
  • the first region comprised between the construction lines L3 and L4, has a profile defining an oblique straight line segment 38 which has an angular offset ⁇ relative to the direction of introduction 32.
  • the value of the angle ⁇ is equal to 15 °.
  • the second region of the first projection is located between the construction lines L1 and L2.
  • the profile of the first protruding part in this second region defines an oblique straight line segment 40 angularly offset by an angle ⁇ relative to the direction of introduction 32.
  • the first projecting part comprises a third region located between the construction lines L2 and L3 which defines a culminating region of this first projecting part.
  • the profile of the first projection in the culminating region defines a straight line 42 parallel to the direction of introduction 32.
  • the culminating region may, in other variants, have a almost zero height, which amounts to almost superimposing the construction lines L2 and L3.
  • the profile of the first projecting part in this culminating region is brought back to a culminating point separating the first and second regions from this first projecting part.
  • this recess 44 there is a recess 44 in the second protruding part 28, this recess being provided in the lower part of this second protruding part 28 and set back from the surface 46 defining the visible surface of the flange through the glass (not shown) of the timepiece.
  • this recess 44 is located opposite the first projecting part 22, 23, 24 and 25.
  • FIG. 3 (3a, 3b and 3c) a first mode of introducing a movement 50 associated with a dial 52 inside the housing 34 of the middle part 2 by 1 will be described below. opening 30 of this movement 50.
  • the schematic representation of the middle part 2, the movement 50 and the dial 52 is torn in its central part.
  • the portion 4 of the middle part 2, defining the right lateral part thereof is symmetrical to the portion 6 of this middle part 2, defining the left lateral part thereof, relative to the median plane 54 defined at FIG. 1.
  • This median plane 54 corresponds to the 6 o'clock-12 o'clock plane of the middle part 2.
  • the projection 23 has a profile symmetrical to the profile of the projection 24 relative to the insertion direction 32 in the section plane of FIG. 3.
  • the movement 50 comprises a rim 56, provided at least partially in the peripheral region of this movement 50, superimposed on the first projecting part once the movement 50 is fixedly housed inside the housing 34 defined by the middle part 2.
  • the middle part 2 is elastically deformable.
  • the rim 56 or the peripheral region of the dial 52 superimposed on the rim 56 exerts on the projections 24 and 25, constituting the first protruding part of the right part of the middle part 2, a spacing force serving to increase the spacing between the portion 4 and the portion 6 of the middle part 2.
  • the increase in the internal spacing that is to say the spacing between the projections 23 and 24, may be greater than the increase in the spacing between the respective external surfaces 60 and 62 of the portions 4 and 6 or, on the contrary, may be substantially equal.
  • the deformation generated by the introduction of the movement 50 into the housing 34 provided for this movement in the middle part 2 generates a local separation of this middle part 2 in the region of the projections 24 and 25.
  • the whole of the middle part is stressed by this deformation, so that it is possible to provide a relatively solid and rigid material for the middle part 2, but having a deformation capacity elastic along the circumference of the middle part 2 sufficient to allow the edge 56 of the movement 50 to pass the culminating region defined above of the projections 24 and 25.
  • increasing the spacing between the portions 4 and 6 of the middle part 2 can be absorbed over the entire periphery of this middle part 2.
  • the position of the second projection 28 relative to the first projection 22, 23, 24 and 25 is provided so that, when the movement 50 and the dial 52 are arranged in their final configuration within the middle part 2, the dial 52 is in abutment against the surface 64 of the second projecting part 28 forming a stop and the lower part of the rim 56 is in abutment against the surface of the second region defined above of the first projecting part. Therefore, the movement 50 and the dial 52 which is associated with it are perfectly fixed inside the middle part 2, without any other fixing means being provided, in particular fixing screws or a circle of engagement or other means known to those skilled in the art usually used to maintain the movement fixedly inside the watch case.
  • the second protruding part 28 forming an abutment is obviously located on the side opposite to the introduction opening 30 of the movement 50 relative to the first protruding part 22, 23, 24 and 25.
  • the dial 52 has dimensions less than or equal to the plate forming the upper part of the movement 50 and comprising at its upper periphery the rim 56, and this in the region where the rim 56 is superimposed on the first projecting part.
  • the forced passage of the dial 52 and of the movement 50 for the positioning of these inside the middle part 2 can lead to tearing of material from the internal wall 20 which then forms a deposit on the peripheral surface of the dial 52 superimposed on the first projecting part.
  • This deposit of material is located opposite the recess 44 once the movement 50 and the dial 52 are put in place in the middle part 2. Therefore, the surface 64 of the flange 28 presses correctly on the upper surface of the dial 52 without the deposition of material torn from the internal wall 20 causes the dial 52 to fail to be pressed against the surface 64 of the flange 28.
  • Figure 4 (4a, 4b, 4c) is shown schematically a second mode of introduction of a movement 50 associated with a dial 52 in the cavity 34 provided for this movement 50 and this dial 52 inside the middle part 2.
  • This second mode of introduction differs from the first mode of introduction mentioned above in that the movement 50 and the dial 52 extend substantially parallel to a general plane of the middle part 2 throughout the introduction into the middle part. to do this, pressure is exerted in an equivalent manner on the left edge and on the right edge of the movement 50. It will however be noted that this second mode of introduction requires a capacity for elastic deformation of the middle part 2 greater than that necessary for the first mode introduction described above.
  • this second mode of introduction makes it possible to save mechanical pressures and stresses on the dial 52 and avoids thus deteriorate the edge.
  • the dimensions of the movement 50 and of the dial 52 in the direction from 6 am to 12 pm is less than corresponding dimensions of the housing 34 defined by the middle part 2.
  • the positioning of the movement in this direction is ensured by the introduction of a rod into the rod hole 12 (FIG. 1).
  • This has the advantage of allowing the transverse portions located between the portions 4 and 6 of the middle part 2 to deform elastically relatively freely. In particular, this configuration allows said transverse portions to curve slightly against the center of the middle part 2 when the spacing between the lateral portions 4 and 6 increases, which is more marked in the central part of these portions 4 and 6.
  • Figure 5 a first alternative embodiment of the middle part 2.
  • This first variant is essentially distinguished by the fact that the recess 44 has been removed since the dimensions of the dial 52 are smaller than the dimensions of the upper part of the movement 50 comprising the rim 56 in the region where this rim 56 is superimposed on the first protrusion 24.
  • a space 68 is defined by the lateral edge of the dial 52, the upper peripheral surface of the movement 50 and the middle part 2.
  • the upper part 57 of the rim 56 has been rounded in order to facilitate the introduction of the movement 50 and also to reduce the quantity of material torn off on the internal wall 20 during the introduction of the movement.
  • Figure 6 a second alternative embodiment of the middle part 2 according to the present invention.
  • the dimensions of the dial 52 are also provided smaller than the dimensions of the upper part of the movement 50 comprising the rim 56.
  • the second protruding part 28 forms a stop by its lower surface 65 on the top movement 50. It is thus possible to avoid exerting pressure on the surface of the dial 52, which can be advantageous when this dial risks being damaged by pressure from the flange when the movement 50 suddenly stops. and of the dial 52 at the end of their introduction into the middle part 2.
  • the flange 29 may be formed by a separate piece from the middle part 2 or may have come in one piece with this middle part 2.
  • preferably an obviously 44 is again provided for the same reasons as explained above.
  • the dial 52 comprises an analog display 72 of the time and a complementary digital display 74.
  • a bracelet 76 is attached to the middle part 2 at means of a bar 78 and fixing means associated with this bar 78 comprising an upper plate 80 and two fixing screws 82.
  • the plate 80 has a double function, namely that of holding the bar 78 in place and also holding the glass 70 in place.
  • the screws 82 make it possible to securely fix the plate 80 to the middle part 2.
  • Figure 9 is shown a bottom view of a middle part belonging to a second embodiment of a watch according to the invention.
  • the middle part 3 although not completely circular, nevertheless defines a circular housing 34 for also circular movement.
  • the internal wall 20 has a profile similar to that of the first embodiment with three projections 90, 92 and 94 offset angularly by an angle of 120 °. These three projections define a first projecting part while the second projecting part 28 is provided, as in the first embodiment, over the entire periphery of the internal wall 20.
  • the middle part 3 also comprises means 98 for attaching a bracelet to this middle part 3.
  • the glass associated with the middle part of the bezel 3 is a plastic glass, heat-welded, glued, or even driven.
  • the arrangement of the three projections 90, 92 and 94 makes it possible to introduce the circular clockwork movement at an angle, in a manner analogous to the mode of introduction described above with the aid of FIG. 3.
