Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tape loading device metallized in a metallized image transfer machine on plate elements, such as sheets of cardboard, paper, material plastic, etc.
  • the invention relates more particularly to a device used in a platen press comprising a fixed upper base and a movable lower bed base, bed bases between which the cardboard sheet is brought, for printing on it, according to given reasons, of a metallized film from a conductive strip between this sheet and one of the box springs.
  • Such a platen press usually comprises first of all a insertion station in which a stack of sheets is installed, each sheet being successively removed from the top of the pile to be sent to a margin table. On this table, each sheet is put in position against front and side cleats before being caught on its edge front by a series of clamps mounted along a crossbar, each end of which is attached to a train of side chains taking the bar, so the sheet, to the following stations of treatment.
  • the treatment station (s) may be a treatment station transfer of metallized film, possibly combined with tools cutting, followed by a waste ejection station. These stations processing are finally followed by a receiving station in which each leaf released by the clamps falls squarely on top of a stack accumulating on an output pallet.
  • An independent device for transporting metallic strips parallel such as that described in US Patent 3,770,175, includes successively a support for tape supply reels, means of intermittent unwinding and advancing of the bands, guide means for guiding these strips parallel to the direction of scrolling of the sheets between the plates, then guide them into clearance around one of the press plates, a tensioning mechanism for energize these bands at least along their path between the plates, and a device for evacuating used tapes from the machine, usually through a side window.
  • Groups metallics with identical intermittent frame speed pass by the same means of advance and unwinding, while the bands having a different speed go through second or even third split means of advance, the tensioning mechanism being regulated in this case according to the highest speed.
  • Document US 3,807,267 describes a feeding mechanism strip paper in a machine for producing photocopies.
  • One of the objectives of this device is to offer the operator a comfortable position for loading the paper rolls relatively low height of the machine in question.
  • the mechanism of this device comprises in particular two arms between which can take place two reels of paper, one of which constitutes a supply reserve.
  • the pair of arms In a normal position of operation, the pair of arms is suspended by a pivot axis located at the rear of the machine chassis, in its upper part.
  • the pair of arms automatically rotates from its low vertical position to a position high horizontal located at the same level as the pivot axis mentioned above.
  • Another objective of this system is to include, between said pair of pivoting arms, the mechanisms necessary for guiding and cutting the strip of paper, as well as the organs necessary to the elevation of said device in order to constitute a compact unit which can be easily assembled, replaced or repaired.
  • a relatively heavy coil having a large width and radius, for example of the order of 20 cm wide by 20 cm radius, is preferably installed on a through axis rigid held on each side in a corresponding seat provided in the side wall of the machine.
  • the coil On the axis, the coil is clamped between two brake discs one of which is pressed by means adjustable elastic bands.
  • the unwinding is carried out in a controlled manner against a certain friction force, which keeps permanently the correct geometry of the coil.
  • a lighter spool for example 7 cm wide by 10 cm in radius, is fitted beforehand on a small axis located the end of a support lever, this axis being integral with one or more small brake discs coming to rub, under the pressure of a spring to adjustable force, against fixed discs of the lever.
  • the other end of the lever is fixed in a chosen position along a graduated cross member installed at remains in the machine.
  • the foundations of the axes crossing large coils and / or the graduated sleepers carrying the small coils are located at the top of the next station the metallized film transfer station, near the rollers intermittent tape unwinding and advancing.
  • the difficult access of this part of the machine makes the replacement of the tapes being production, or changing the configuration of the bands from production to the other, particularly tedious, which increases idle times by the same amount machine use and the risk of accident.
  • the object of the present invention is a device for loading metallized bands in a metallized image transfer machine on elements in plate, which is effective, that is to say which allows a easy, fast and secure loading of tapes from where they can be unwound without any particular problem.
  • the design of this device must remain simple for better reliability over time and cost of production reasonable.
  • the arms are rotatably mounted in a first end on axes located close above and upstream of the wheels of downstream return of the transport chains of the gripper bars, the retracted position being substantially horizontal oriented upstream, the extended position being reached after rotation of an angle between 120 and 200 degrees from above and downstream of the machine.
  • the pair of arms then comprises at least one pair of seats and a cross member, respectively in its middle part and in its other end.
  • the arms split in their middle part in two branches one of which, seen when the arms are in the retracted position, is substantially horizontal and the other is oriented upwards in a direction substantially parallel to the path of the gripper bars at the outlet of their return wheel.
  • this upward orientation of the second branch, as well as in the direction of the path of the gripper bars forms an angle between 45 and 80 degrees from the horizontal.
  • each arm has a U-shaped curve forming a notch between its axis of rotation and its branch of branches. This configuration increases the angle of rotation by exit bypassing the gripper bar stopped at the axis of rotation arms.
  • the seats have a shape trapezoidal comprising, as seen when the arms are in position reentry, a lower edge making an angle with the horizontal of the order of 45 degrees, a downstream section making an angle of the order of 100 degrees, a upper edge making an angle of about 15 degrees and one side upstream outlet open.
  • the ends of the rigid support axes coils then preferably have a triangular section. Thanks to this configuration, these ends of axes are easily posed in the seated, remain there during the entire rotation of the arms in a retracted position, and wedge between the lower and lower angular sections in the position of job.
  • This trapezoidal shape of seats can easily be obtained from rectangular notches supplemented with side bars at 45 degrees and fixed against the faces of the branches by screws. This realization of in addition, in the extended arms position, removal of the coil supports without having to disassemble in any way no holding parts.
  • the drive means can be an electric motor mounted in the upper part of one of the side walls of the last machine station, and the output axis of which is connected by a chain or belt with a toothed drive wheel secured to the axis of rotation of the arm located close to this same face. If desired, this training can be multiplied by a wheel secured to an intermediate pinion, the wheel being connected to the motor output axis by an external chain or belt, and the pinion being connected to the drive wheel of the axis of rotation of the arms by a chain or a toothed belt.
  • the arm axis drive wheel, or the wheel intermediate is split by a second wheel whose periphery forms a double cam acting on two adjustable position switches, one of the contactors defining the retracted position, the other, the extended position of the arms. Also usefully, the ends of the lower branches rest on stops in retracted position.
  • the last station of a machine transfer of metallized images to plate elements in this case a receiving station 10.
  • the gripper bars 22 integral with a train of chains 20 transport the sheets, in cardboard in the this example, through the machine. These leaves are dropped between of squares and fall vertically on a pile 16 forming gradually on an output pallet 17 better visible in FIG. 1.
  • the chain trains 20 and their gripper bars 22 then pass around the drive wheels 24 for return from above to the margin table in downstream of the machine.
  • this station 10 is raised to create an additional space where the device according to the invention is housed.
  • the chain train 20 starts again in an unusual way, with a significant angle greater than 45 degrees from the horizontal, in the occurrence of the order of 60 degrees.
  • the device for loading bands is based on a pair of 50 identical side arms held parallel to each other by a series of crosspieces 60.
  • the ends lower of each of these lateral arms 50 are kept in rotation, by axes 55, in the internal face of the side walls in correspondence from the top of the station 10, the rotation of the side arms 50 taking place in a plane parallel to these side walls.
  • these lateral arms 50 can be thus turned from a retracted position, drawn in strong lines in which they are inside the path of the chain train 20, at an exit position 50 ' illustrated in broken lines in which part of these arms emerges outside the downstream face of the station 10 through a telescopic window 12 previously noted.
  • the lateral arms 50 have a general Y shape. Tel that observed in the retracted position in FIG. 2, these arms split in their middle part in a first lower branch 56 substantially horizontal and an upper branch 54 forming a first oriented bend upwards almost vertically and then oriented downstream of the machine according to an angle of around 20 degrees.
  • the common part that is to say that making the connection between the branch of the branches 54, 56 to the axis of rotation 55 forms a U-shaped bend, or a notch 57, downwards.
  • these lateral arms 50 have three seats 51, 52 and 53 to support the axes 34 of the reels of metallized tape.
  • the upper seat 51 is arranged at the end of the upper branch 54.
  • the middle seat 52 is close to the branch of the two branches upper 54 and lower 56 and the lower seat 53 is arranged at the end of the lower branch 56.
  • Three crosspieces 60 for holding the arms 50 and simultaneously for lever support 66 are respectively placed between the branches upper 54 and between the lower branches 56, and set back from the seats 51, 52, 53 by a distance corresponding to the length of the levers 66 designed to support coils of small diameter by an orthogonal axis 36.
  • the cross members 60 also serve as support for the levers 66.
  • Each support lever 66 is integral in its lower part with a block hook 62 coming to hook on the upper edge of the cross 60 at any position along a graduated ruler.
  • the block hook 62 is locked in the position chosen by a plate 64 fixed to the block by means of a screw.
  • each seat 51, 52, 53 has a shape transverse trapezoidal obtained by the presence of bars 58 cutting at an angle of the order of 45 to 60 degrees a rectangular notch. These seats therefore have a lower slant oblique downwards encountering a downstream section inclined on the order of 100 degrees and surmounted an upper section inclined on the order of 15 degrees relative to the horizontal, the downstream part being open. These trapezoidal seats are designed to receive ends 32, of triangular section, axes of support 34 for large diameter coils 30.
  • the right side wall of station 10 as seen, according to the direction sheet scrolling and commonly called side-opposite-conductor, supports in its upper part an electric motor 70.
  • the output axis 71 of this motor is connected by an external chain 72 to a toothed wheel outer intermediate 73.
  • This wheel 73 is connected by an axis crossing the wall to an internal pinion 74 which is connected by a chain or belt notched 76 tensioned by a tension roller 75, to a toothed wheel interior 77 for driving the axis 55 of the arm 50.
  • the outer wheel 73 is combined with a disc whose periphery forms a double cam acting in correspondence with a pair of switches 79 defining two extreme positions of rotation, these positions corresponding respectively to the retracted 50 and output 50 'positions arms.
  • the downstream end of the lower branches 56 rests on stops 14 reducing any incidence due to subsequent overvoltages in the unwinding of the bands.
  • the device in the position outlet allows easy unloading and loading of rigid axes 34 carrying new coils 30 by installing their triangular ends 32 in the seats 51, 53 which have respectively become the lower seats and upper, or in the middle seat 52.
  • rollers 38 and pressure rollers 39 a pair for each unwinding speed corresponding to the specific consumption of the metallized strip concerned.
  • these rollers are arranged in a plane horizontal immediately and slightly above the leaf passage plane in the machine, this plane usually being located at the height of the waist, or even the arms of an operator. This height corresponds in particular to that from the lower edge of a window in each side wall of the front last station.
  • this device allows very unloading and loading easy reels of metallized tape by the downstream end face of the machine. Once these coils are reinserted into the machine by rotation the device in its retracted position, the operator can easily unwind the belts and engage them in the intermittent feed rollers, and this in passing through the side window of the penultimate station. Accessibility is thus greatly improved, these operations are made all the faster and safer as they became easy.
  • the dimensioning of the arms, as well as their thickness of the order of 20 mm identical to that of sleepers 60 makes the structure absolutely solid and rigid, and can therefore withstand any unwanted vibration.
  • this structure is simple to realize.
