Description

The invention relates to a lamp according to the preamble of claim 1.

The lighting of a room can be important for practical and / or aesthetic reasons. Both of the above-mentioned reasons can be relevant when illuminating a room furnished for the stay of people. For luminaires for subordinate rooms, e.g. Basement rooms or simple work rooms, in most cases there is a requirement for good lighting of the room in the area of the workplace or the floor of the room. On the other hand, there is lighting in living rooms or representative rooms, e.g. Reception rooms, also on the aesthetic effect of the lighting.

Both directly and indirectly effective luminaires have become known in which the room is illuminated indirectly via a boundary surface of the room, e.g. a ceiling or a wall.

In the case of such indirectly effective luminaires, the aesthetic effect of the lighting is generally the main factor, with the lighting output being able to play a minor role. In contrast, a luminaire for a subordinate room, e.g. a basement room or a simple work room, mainly the demand for a high level of efficiency in order to be able to illuminate the associated room with the lowest possible power consumption. The latter applies in particular to damp rooms, which in many cases are to be regarded as subordinate rooms and in which good lighting of the room is to be achieved mainly with little energy expenditure.

There are also lights that allow both direct and indirect lighting of the room. Such lights do not have a closed housing, e.g. only one screen open at the top, so that the direct lighting through the light exit cone is down and the indirect lighting is up through the opening in the screen.

Such and other luminaires with an unclosed housing are not suitable for rooms with a damp atmosphere, in particular architecturally sophisticated, since a closed housing should be present in these rooms to protect the at least one lamp of the lamp and to prevent moisture and contaminants, eg dust, from getting into the housing.

The invention has for its object to design a lamp of the type mentioned so that the lighting of the room is improved.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1.

In the luminaire according to the invention, the light not only exits in the area of the cover, but also exits in the region of the trough-shaped housing base part, the latter part of the light being able to illuminate a ceiling or wall carrying the luminaire, so that the entire room appears brighter .

The luminaire according to the invention is preferably suitable for rooms in which a closed housing (housing with a higher degree of protection) is prescribed, such as damp rooms described above, e.g. Work rooms, garages and the like. In such rooms, the lighting needs to be improved. In contrast, the invention enables improved illumination of the existing space since the space is not only illuminated towards the side on which the cover is located, but the space is also illuminated towards the side facing away from the cover, with an associated ceiling or wall due to their lighting additionally reflects the light, which leads to the previously described illumination of the room as a whole and in particular in the area of the ceiling or wall supporting the lamp.

The subclaims contain features which further improve the use of light energy and the room lighting, enable a simple and inexpensive construction, ensure the sealing of the housing and also enable the cover to be attached to the housing base part in a manner which is easy to handle.

The main parts of the lamp 1 are a closed housing 2, one or more sockets 3 arranged therein with electrical contacts for one or more lamps, in particular fluorescent tubes 4 and a reflector 5, which is in a roof-like shape and position above the lamp or lamps in the housing 2 is fixed, the elongated housing 2 in the present embodiment being formed in two parts with a housing base part 6 and a cover 7 and the opening closed by the cover 7 being designated by 8. Between the housing base part 6 and the cover 7, two or more, in the present embodiment four quick fasteners 9 on the broad sides of the elongated housing 2 are arranged opposite one another on the outside.

The housing base part 6 has on its side facing away from the cover 7 a base or at least two, for example strip-shaped feet 10, which preferably protrude upward from the housing base part 6, in the area or between which through holes are provided for fastening by means of screws which can be inserted from the inside (not shown). on a ceiling or a wall. The width a of the feet is smaller than the associated width b of the housing 2. This results in divergent wall sections 11 on both sides of the feet 10, which are preferably arranged in the end regions of the elongated housing 2, and which extend as far as the horizontal division 12 between the housing base part 6 and the cover 7 extend. In the present embodiment, the feet 10 are arranged on the top of a box 13 standing upside down, which extends centrally in the longitudinal direction of the elongated housing 2 and whose top wall is designated by 14, its side walls by 15 and its end walls by 16. The divergent wall sections 11 are sections of a semi-circular shape of the housing base part 6 in vertical section, to which the shape of the cover 7 adjoins, so that the latter has a correspondingly large-sized semi-circular bottom wall 17. The box 13 is dimensioned at both ends of the elongated housing 2 somewhat longer than the divergent wall sections 11, so that it projects beyond the latter with its side walls 15, and these extend in the extension area into the central division area of the housing 2. In these extended regions 18, the cover 7 has a tapered one Step 19 with a staggered annular end wall 21 and the actual end wall 22.

The cover 7 has a circumferential vertical web wall 23 which projects into a circumferential channel 24 in the form of an upside-down U. The height of the web wall 23 and the groove 24 is approximately 15 to 20 mm. This creates a labyrinth that seals the housing 2 against moisture and splash water. A sealing cord 24a is preferably also arranged in the channel base 24a. For stabilization, a second, circumferential channel 25 in the form of an upside-down U is provided in the region of the division 12 at the edge of the cover 7, from whose channel bottom the web wall 23 extends upwards. With 26 a sealed cable bushing with an elastic grommet in a hole in the housing wall, here the end wall 16 is referred to.

To fasten the cover 7 on the housing base part 6, four quick-release fasteners 9 are provided, which are arranged on the broad sides of the housing 2 in the end region opposite one another. The quick-release fasteners 9 are preferably formed by mutually identical C-shaped clips 27, which are seated with a pin-shaped clip base part 28 in the lower channel 25, preferably held clamped therein, and whose upper claw-shaped closing ends 29 overlap the bottom 24b of the upper channel 24 with a clamping effect .

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 1 and 3, the holders 3 with holder pieces 3 a extending from top to bottom are located in the lower region of the housing 2, ie in the region of the cover 7. The reflector 5 is above the lamps or fluorescent tube 4 arranged and held in the housing 2, in the present embodiment in the region of the division 12. The reflector 5 is an essentially flat body, preferably made of sheet metal, which in the present embodiment is stabilized by a profile shape extending in its longitudinal direction, in the present case Design by end-side, upward-pointing bend 32 and preferably also a central, upward step 33, wherein the free edges of the bend 32 can be bent in a groove-like manner downwards. The width c of the reflector 5 is adapted to the inner width d between the channel 24. To hold the reflector 5, at least two holders 34 are provided on the housing base part 6, which engage under the reflector 5 from above. The two holders 34 are preferably provided in the central region of the two longitudinal halves. In the present embodiment, they are each other The same or mirror-inverted holder 34 formed by horizontally bendable locking arms 35 which extend from top to bottom, the reflector 5 in an associated hole 36 and reach under the hole edge with a locking lug 37 with chamfers 38. Preferably, two latching arms 35 are arranged opposite each other with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane 39 at each of the two mounting points described above.

The latching arms 35 are each formed on a preferably box-shaped mounting base 41, which extends downward from the ceiling wall 14 in the sense of a retraction. On the latching arms 35 laterally protruding hook members 42 can be formed with respect to the longitudinal center plane 39, to which lateral attachment holes 43 are assigned in the reflector 5, and this makes it possible to place the reflector 5 on an optional side in a downwardly tilted position on the associated hook members 42 put on. In this position the housing base part 6 is accessible from below so that work can be carried out therein, e.g. Wiring, test work or replacement can be carried out on a starter 44 or a ballast 45 without the reflector 5 having to be completely removed from the lamp 1 or from the housing base part 6.

It is advantageous to assign additional lateral abutments 46 on the housing base part 6 to the reflector 5, which in the present embodiment can be formed by downwardly directed ends or recesses of vertical recesses 47, against which the lateral edges of the reflector 31 abut or border from below.

For stabilization, the hole edges of the holes 36 can be stepped upward.

As can be seen in particular in FIG. 1, the socket pieces 3a can be fastened on the underside and the ballast 45 and, if appropriate, associated connecting terminals 48 on the top side on the reflector 5 (see FIGS. 1 and 4).

With the reference numeral 51 punched out and bent tongues from the reflector are provided at longitudinal distances from each other, which are used for holding by clamping wires of the associated electrical lines. A correspondingly cut and bent tongue 52 is used to hold a capacitor, not shown in the following.

The cover 7 consists, at least in the area opposite the lamp or fluorescent tube 4, of a translucent or transparent material such as plastic or glass. In the present embodiment, an unbreakable plastic is provided, e.g. Polycarbonate. The cover 7 preferably consists of one of the aforementioned materials. As a result, not only is there a large propagation area for the light, but the cover 7 can also be produced simply and inexpensively as a one-piece component, in particular a plastic injection-molded part.

In addition, the reflector 5 is designed to be translucent on at least a portion of its surface; there are several design options for this. The reflector 5 can be translucent or partially translucent over a partial area or as a whole. In the former case, the reflector 5 can consist of translucent or transparent material in the at least one area or as a whole. In the second case, the reflector 5 can consist of opaque material and have holes 53 in the at least one area, in the area of which the light is not reflected, but instead radiates through the holes 53 into the housing base part 6.

Furthermore, the housing base part 6 likewise consists of at least partially transparent or transparent material in at least one area, this area lying behind the at least one transparent or partially transparent area of the reflector 5 in the direction of propagation of the rays.

Within the scope of the invention, the above-described area or areas can be, for example, the central area e of the reflector 5. Translucent areas f in the reflector 5 can also be arranged on both sides of the above-described area e. The reflector 5 is preferably translucent or partially translucent over its entire surface. In the present embodiment, the reflector 5 has holes 53 over its entire surface, its remaining lower surface being designed to be light-reflecting, in particular coated, so that some of the light rays are reflected toward the cover 7 and some of the light rays radiate into the housing base part 6. Such a reflector 5 is preferably produced from a perforated plate prefabricated with holes 53. For reasons of simplification, FIG. 4 shows only a partial area of the reflector 5, which has holes 53 over its entire width and length.

In addition, at least the housing outer walls of the housing base part 6, preferably the housing base part 6 as a whole, consist of translucent or transparent material such as glass or in particular plastic, preferably unbreakable plastic such as polycarbonate. It is particularly advantageous to produce the housing base part 6 from the same material from which the cover 7 is made. This is not only simpler in terms of production technology, but also a higher or more reliable seal is achieved because the housing base part 6 and the cover 7 have the same coefficient of thermal expansion and therefore warping, tensioning and displacements are avoided when the lamp 1 is heated during operation.

In the luminaire 1 described above, part of the light rays, namely the light rays radiating into the housing base part 6, is radiated toward the side of the luminaire 1 on which the housing base part 6 is located, specifically against the component carrying the luminaire 1, as a rule one Ceiling or wall. In this way, a luminaire is obtained which shines both directly and indirectly and illuminates the base area carrying the luminaire 1. This will illuminate the existing space better and make it appear brighter.

The luminaire 1 according to the invention is particularly suitable for a damp room luminaire and thus for damp, dusty and also subordinate rooms, since such rooms in particular need better illumination, not only in the ceiling or wall area carrying the luminaire, but also overall.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5, in which the same or comparable parts are provided with the same reference numerals, differs from the exemplary embodiment described above essentially only in that the lamp is dimensioned wider and several lamps or fluorescent tubes 4, preferably two, with associated sockets ( 3) are arranged side by side. The two side areas of the cover 7 which are curved in the shape of a circular arc can be connected to one another in the central area of the lamp by a secant bottom section 17a.
