Abstract

The method uses a spray device (11) for spraying water or other cleaning fluid, and a doctor blade (8), associated with at least one roller drive mechanism. The cleaning is carried out in a multiply repeatable washing sequence. The time of the sequence can be freely selected or is self-adjusting. Each individual washing sequence includes spraying the washing fluid, eg. water, distributing the washing fluid and periodically wiping the roller drive mechanism. As an alternative to water, a vegetable based oil may be used. While maintaining the washing sequence, the following processes may selectively be carried out: cleaning a colour roller mechanism (4); cleaning a colour roller mechanism (4) and a plate on the plate cylinder (1); or cleaning a colour roller mechanism (4), the cylinder plate and a damping roller (3). Preferably, the number and/or time of cleaning sequences increases with increasing circumferential length of the rollers and cylinder. The cleaning time may be corrected to a value which corresponds to the increase or decrease in dimension of the roller/cylinder to be cleaned.

Description

The invention relates to a method for cleaning Cylinders and rollers of a printing unit of a printing press, especially an offset printing machine.

A procedure for cleaning cylinders and rollers is over known from EP 0 453 853 A2. According to the procedure Relative positions of blanket cylinders, plate cylinders as well assigned rollers freely controllable so that when Cleaning process a distance or system position can be taken.

Die Reinigungsflüssigkeit wird abschließend mit dem angelosten Farbresten durch eine ständig angestellte Rakel vom Walzenzug entfernt.DE 36 06 006 A1 describes a cleaning device for the Ink roller of an offset printing unit known, which one Primary and a secondary strand for the Has cleaning fluid supply. During the cleaning process itself a variable amount of cleaning fluid becomes dependent on the ink layer thickness and the number of rollers / cylinders, fed to the parked inking roller. The Cleaning liquid is finally dissolved with the Remnants of ink due to a constantly running doctor blade from the single drum roller away.

Especially for single drum rollers with a high number of cleaning rollers, including cylinders, it is disadvantageous that a relatively long time to clean is required and a relatively high Cleaning fluid consumption (detergent and water) arises.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a method develop that with the same washing quality the cleaning time and noticeably reduces cleaning fluid consumption. The task the invention is characterized by the characterizing part of Main claim resolved. Further training results from the Subclaims.

  • 3.) Schritt - Farbwalzen, Feuchtwalzen und Platte auf dem Plattenzylinder reinigen
  • 4.) Schritt - mit Wasser spülen.
  • The present solution reduces the consumption of cleaning fluid (detergent and / or water) and reduces the washing times with the same washing quality. It has been found that the consumption of cleaning fluid is reduced, in particular, by periodically doctoring, since it is no longer the case that, as before, a constantly employed doctor blade immediately wipes away cleaning fluid which may be unused. Furthermore, the washing sequence prevents the rollers from running dry (with too little cleaning fluid) or so-called floating (aquaplaning) with too much cleaning fluid. Due to the freely selectable time of a wash sequence and the number of wash sequences, the selection is made by the operator or a learning controller, the cleaning time and the consumption of cleaning fluid are further reduced. According to the solution according to the invention, the number of rollers / cylinders to be cleaned can still be selected while maintaining the washing sequence. For this purpose, the operator or a corresponding control system has to choose between four cleaning steps in terms of programming. The cleaning steps are processed one after the other in the cleaning process, or one or more steps can be selected. The cleaning steps include:
  • Step 1 - Clean the ink rollers
  • Step 2 - Clean the inking rollers and plate on the plate cylinder
  • 3rd) Step - Clean ink rollers, dampening rollers and plate on the plate cylinder
  • 4th) step - rinse with water.
Depending on the selected cleaning steps (1 to 3) takes Switching on plate cylinders with the corresponding plate and the dampening roller train the circumferential length of the roller train (Ink roller train, dampening roller train and plate cylinder). The number increases according to the increasing circumferential length and / or the cleaning time of the washing sequences manually or controlled to.

The invention is to be closer to an embodiment are explained.

    It shows:
    Fig. 1
a printing unit of an offset rotary printing press.

The printing unit consists of an ink fountain 7 with Ink fountain roller 6, an ink lifter 5 and a sequence of Ink rollers, which are referred to as an ink roller train 4. The Ink roller 4 is a detergent spray device 10 and a water spray device 11 assigned. The ink roller 4 is a plate cylinder 1 which carries a printing plate, assigned. The plate cylinder 1 is still a Dampening roller train 3 assigned, which with a bridge roller the inking roller train 4 can be coupled. In a known manner Plate cylinder 1 a blanket cylinder 2 one Assigned to the offset printing unit. On other components of the Printing unit is not discussed further. In the direction of rotation of the Plate cylinder 1 is seen on one of the last rollers of the Ink roller 4 a doctor device 8 arranged. The Doctor device 8 is received in a swivel and is pivotable by means of an actuating device 9. The Actuator 9 and the detergent spray device 10 and the water spray device 11 are with a controller connected in terms of circuitry.

The mode of operation is as follows: The control is used to control the Wash sequence activated. The detergent spray device 10 sprays the detergent onto the for a defined time neighboring inking roller 4. The detergent is then over the inking roller 4 distributed to approximately the same Layer thicknesses of color and detergent are available. The Doctor device 8 is periodically on one of the last rollers of the inking roller 4 started and doctored the emulsion of Color and detergent. The inking roller 4 is from Plate cylinder 1 turned off. As already described Ink fountain 7, ink fountain roller 6 and ink lifter 5 in the Ink roller 4 integrated. Is an emptying of the ink fountain 7 (filling / color change) required, all Color slide closed and after emptying the Ink fountain swung away. Located on the ink fountain roller 6 then a very thin color film. About this color film with to clean the paint lifter 5 is released, the Streak width of ink lifter 5 set to maximum and thus the ink fountain roller 6 by coupling ink lifter 5 also cleaned with the rest of the roller 4. The washing sequence also applies analogously to the use of water as Cleaning fluid. When using detergent is considered Cleaning fluid preferably used a vegetable oil ester.

The washing sequence can be repeated several times. About the controller the plate cylinder 1 is in contact with the inking roller 4 brought and thus the printing plate on the plate cylinder 1st also cleaned. If the wet whale train 3 is also to be cleaned, so this is over a bridge roller with the inking roller 4th coupled. Optionally, the dampening roller of the Dampening roller train 3 additionally on the plate cylinder 1 be employed. It is about the controls, next to the one above Series connection already described, still possible individual assemblies, such as the dampening roller train 3 or To skip plate cylinder 1 and therefore only the absolutely to control components to be cleaned and in the Include cleaning procedures. After completing the In the end, washing sequences with detergent will be at least one Wash sequence carried out with water as a detergent. For the Cleaning ink rollers 4 and plate cylinder 1 with corresponding plate or from all rollers (ink roller 4, Dampening roller train 3) and plate cylinder 1 with plate are longer spraying, pause and doctoring times to achieve the necessary quality required. Preferably to do this cleaning times extended by an editable factor. At the end of the cleaning process, the inking roller train 4 and the dampening roller train 3 turned off from the plate cylinder 1.
