Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for arranging job bags provided with a machine-readable job number and receiving photographic work in an output table for their output to the customers.
  • Photographic work is now regularly carried out in large laboratories, which carry out the orders received from the dealers and return the finished photographic work to the dealer in order bags.
  • These order pockets carry order numbers, by means of which the order pockets are ordered by the dealer in an order resulting from the order numbers or also alphabetically. This sorting process is very time consuming.
  • a method for automatic photo order processing is known from DE-U-93 16 528.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a method that allows the photo dealer to quickly find the photo work to be given to the customer without having to sort it into the output table beforehand.
  • the method according to the invention is implemented as follows:
  • the dealer accepts the photo work delivered by the large laboratory from it in a disorderly manner.
  • the dealer first takes any one of a large number of separating cards in ascending order, which both have a code number that is visually clearly recognizable and machine-readable (e.g. in the form of a bar code).
  • a group of job pockets - for example 20 - which each carry a machine-readable job number are read into the computer in a corresponding manner, the job computer storing this job number under an address specified by the separating card.
  • After reading the order number of the order bags of a group they are set in the output box with the associated separation card. This process is repeated until all job pockets are set in the photo box.
  • the corresponding order number is entered into the computer, which determines the address at which this order number is stored in the computer.
  • the address corresponding to the code number is output by the computer and the photo bag is selected from behind the separation card bearing this code.
  • the search for the photo pockets within a group is further facilitated in that when the order number of the order pockets is read in, the number of order pockets within the respective group is determined as the respective order pocket.
  • this ordinal number indicating its place in the group of photo bags is also output, so that the search for the order bag corresponding to the specified order number is made easier within the group specified by the separation card.
  • the ordinal numbers of those photo bags whose ordinal numbers are greater than the ordinal number of an output order bag are to be reduced by "1".
  • the number of order bags not yet handed over to a customer can also be output.
  • the computer responds to the entry of the job number in addition to the output of the respective separating card and thus the respective group with "19/20" indicating that the corresponding order bag is the 19th within a group of 20 order bags. If the 14th order bag of the group is then to be output, the computer indicates this with "14/19". If the last (that is originally the 20th) order bag of this group is then to be output, the computer 18/18 indicates that this order bag is now the last of the remaining 18 order bags.
  • the order bag should bear the order number and / or the name of the client in normal type.
  • the procedure can be further simplified in that the customer is issued with a machine-readable card (for example a chip card) on which the respective order number is stored when the photographic work is submitted.
  • a machine-readable card for example a chip card
  • the card is then read, the location of the work to be picked up is determined in the output box and the pick-up of the work is noted on the card.
  • the mechanical reading in of the photographic work brought to the photo dealer by the photo laboratory can be used to create a reception protocol which can be compared with the output protocol created by the photo laboratory.
  • the procedure proposed here can also be applied to a method in which special job pockets are dispensed with, in that the job data (or even just one job number) is applied directly to the film cartridge, as is described in the (subsequently published) DE 43 29 280 C1 is proposed.
  • the output pocket provided by the photo laboratory which receives the photo work, is printed with the machine-readable and possibly also the normally readable data, and is read by the machine from the photo dealer upon admission to the photo dealer.
  • job bag used in this text also includes the “delivery bag” in the sense of DE 43 29 280 C1.
