Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cleaning device, in particular for covering a tenter frame according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a cleaning device is already known for example from DE 31 39 245 C2, and is used as a wet and dry mop.
  • the known cleaning device allows the base material to be bent up when the cleaning device is placed against a baseboard or the like. In this situation, however, the part of the floor directly adjacent to the baseboard and any joints that may be present are only insufficiently cleaned, since the superscript base material is not exactly 90 ° superscript and does not reach the dead space formed between the baseboard and floor.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a cleaning device which enables particularly effective cleaning of floors even in the area of obstacles, for example baseboards and the like.
  • the cleaning device according to the invention is characterized in that due to the erection and curvature of the base material in the edge area, pile threads are also directed at a sufficient height in the direction of an obstacle that occurs laterally.
  • pile threads can, for example when cleaning against a baseboard, clean both a joint located between the baseboard and floor and the baseboard itself over its entire height. Even if the base material is raised overall when it is placed against the baseboard, the pile threads protruding in the edge area can still have a good cleaning effect.
  • the cleaning effect is particularly pronounced in the case of structured baseboards that can only be effectively cleaned by vertically penetrating pile threads. Corners can also be cleaned better than before.
  • the attached trimming piece increases the stability of the cleaning device and in particular prevents the base material from sagging or "wearing out" when wet. Base material and trim are connected to each other along the fastening lines, even if the fastening lines are no continuous seams.
  • the trim piece is sewn onto the surface of the base material facing away from the pile threads.
  • pile threads on the side of the facing piece can be omitted and the pile threads attached on the other side align themselves in a manner corresponding to the upward curvature of the base material in the edge region, parallel to the cleaning surface, projecting from the stenter.
  • the trim piece is sewn or stitched through on the base material with two spaced fastening seams, a fastening seam running at the edge.
  • This type of fastening can be carried out easily and conveniently with a conventional sewing machine and only requires two spaced fastening seams along the entire length of each of the four edge regions of the base material.
  • trim piece and the base material are connected at their edges in a rounded manner. Such attachment in the edge area creates a reinforced bond between the trim piece and base material, so that a rounded common edge area is created which has particular strength and rigidity.
  • the sewn-on patch is curved in cross section.
  • the trim piece is flexible or flexible and allows the base material to curve upwards.
  • the edge of the base material is curved outwards in cross section, since it has a greater web width than the corresponding trim piece.
  • an elongated cavity is formed between the base material and the trim piece, which serves as a fluid reservoir.
  • the fluid reservoir can serve as a water reservoir when absorbing water and otherwise as a lump cushion.
  • the water reservoir enables adequate wetting the pile threads in the edge area and thus an effective cleaning of corresponding surfaces of a lateral obstacle. Due to the existing air cushion, the cleaning device adapts to any existing unevenness or structure of the floor or a side obstacle, since there is a particularly pronounced flexibility of the base material in the area of the air cushion. Joints are also better cleaned due to the air cushion.
  • the water reservoir enables greater water absorption in this edge area of the base material.
  • the trim piece has a relatively high rigidity, so that the sewn-on trim piece is arranged essentially flat.
  • the relatively stiff trim piece is only slightly curved and remains essentially in the plane of the base material.
  • the protruding web width of the base material folds over so that an area of the base material protruding outward beyond the trim piece is formed. This embodiment is advantageous if a particularly flat cleaning device is preferred.
  • the trim piece is made of linen, cotton, polyester or an elastomer, depending on which stiffness can be achieved.
  • a dimensionally stable material for example polyester or linen
  • stretching of the base material in the wet state can also be effectively avoided, so that the base material does not sag even after prolonged use.
  • the fastening device is preferably formed by two opposite attachment pieces sewn on the edge, which together with the base material form pockets for the introduction of tensioning elements of the tensioning frame.
  • the top pieces are sewn on the edges of the trimmings, so that a pocket closed on three edges is formed.
  • the trim piece is attached on the edge side to the pile thread side of the base material.
  • the base material is folded inwards in the region of the edge, so that the side of the base material covered with pile threads comes to rest on the trim piece and is fastened there on the edge side. In this way, the pile threads also extend beyond the curve in the edge region and further upward than in the previously mentioned embodiment. A flatter design of the cleaning device is also possible.
  • a water-storing or dimensionally stable material is preferably accommodated in the cavity.
  • the water-storing material releases water for cleaning under pressure, so that large areas of buildings or halls can be easily cleaned.
  • pressure is exerted laterally on the cavity after consumption of the water currently present, which leads to a release of water stored in the material.
  • the material can only line the cavity or preferably essentially fill the cavity substantially so that sufficient water can be taken up in the cavity.
  • a water-storing material non-woven material, cord or sponge can be used.
  • Fig. 1 shows a cross section through an edge region of the cleaning device on an enlarged scale.
  • Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the entire cleaning device.
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view of the cleaning device.
  • the cleaning device shown in the figures consists of an approximately rectangular woven or knitted base fabric 2, as can be seen in FIG. 3. On this base material there is also a rectangular one in the edge area essentially elongated patch 4 made of linen or polyester sewn on in such a way that it is connected to the base material along a fastening seam 8 and is connected at its other edge to an edge 6 of the base material 2.
  • the web width of the base material between the fastening seam 8 and the edge edge 6 is larger than the corresponding web width of the trim piece 4, so that the base material 2 bulges or folds between the fastening seam 8 and the edge edge 6, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 1.
  • the base material 2 bulges upwards or, in the case of a correspondingly strongly folded or folded configuration, remains arranged essentially flat.
  • a cavity 14 is formed by the curvature, which serves as a fluid reservoir.
  • the cavity 14 can both take up air and serve as an air cushion, as well as form a water reservoir by taking up water.
  • the air cushion can allow a suitable deformation of the base material in the edge area, the water reservoir can ensure a sufficient liquid impregnation of the pile threads.
  • edge areas of base material 2 and trim piece 4 are bordered or finished in the edge area of the edge 6 of the base material, so that a rounded composite is formed.
  • a longitudinally extending fastening seam 8 is formed, which connects the base material 2 and trim piece 4.
  • the cleaning device according to the invention is produced by first connecting edge regions of trim piece 4 and base material 2 by means of endings or edging. Then, by pulling the trim piece 4 inwards, the base material 2 is raised in the edge region and slightly folded over. The trim piece withdrawn in this way is now fastened to the base material 2 with a stitched seam. This process is carried out on all four marginal edges of base material 2. Finally, two attachment pieces 12, 12 'are sewn onto the corresponding trim pieces on the opposite narrow edges of the base material, in each case on three sides, in order to form the pockets which serve as fastening means for the stenter frame. In addition, a transverse seam 16 is sewn onto each attachment piece 12, 12 'parallel to the narrow edges and limits the space formed in the pocket in the longitudinal direction. In this way, tenter frames of different lengths can be accommodated in the pockets without play.
  • the cleaning device according to the invention has the advantage that it ensures a particularly convenient and effective cleaning of side obstacles on the floor to be cleaned, the transverse threads projecting also allow cleaning of profile strips and possibly existing joints.
  • the cavity formed between the trimmings and the base material can serve as a water reservoir by incorporating a water-storing or shaping material.
  • the connected edge seam 6 has a raised position with respect to the base material 2, so that the clamping frame can rest with its edge on this edge edge of the base material and the trimmings. Because of this configuration, particularly good guidance of the cleaning device is possible.
