Abstract

Procédé de fixage d'un toner à base de polystyrène sur un support de reproduction (AT) d'un appareil d'impression ou de copie, selon lequel un solvant (LM) est vaporisé dans un dispositif de fixage (FR) et agit, dans cet état, sur le toner. On utilise comme solvants, des hydrocarbures fluorés partiellement halogénés, tels que le R183 et le R141b, qui ont la particularité de n'exercer qu'un faible effet nuisible sur l'environnement, et qui présentent vis-à-vis des toners à matrice polymère non réticulée avec matrice de base polymère en polystyrène et en métacrylates, un pouvoir dissolvant élevé.

Claims (2)

  1. Procédé de fixage d'un toner à base de polystyrène sur un support d'enregistrement (AT) d'un appareil d'impression ou de copie, un solvant (LM) étant évaporé dans un dispositif de fixage (FR) et agissant en cet état sur le toner,
    caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à utiliser comme solvant (LM) unique un hydrocarbure fluorochloré, partiellement halogéné, ayant un point d'ébullition inférieur à 35°, choisi parmi CHCl₂-CF₃ et CFCl₂-CH₃ et à utiliser comme toner un toner ayant une matrice de polymère non réticulée, dont la matrice de base de polymère est en polystyrène et en méthacrylate.
  2. Solvant destiné au fixage d'un toner à base de polystyrène ayant une matrice de polymère non réticulée, dont la matrice de base de polymère est en polystyrène et en méthacrylate, sur un support d'enregistrement (AT) d'un appareil d'impression ou de copie, un solvant (LM) étant évaporé dans un dispositif de fixage (FR) et agissant en cet état sur le toner, caractérisé par un hydrocarbure fluorochloré, partiellement halogéné, ayant un point d'ébullition inférieur à 35°, choisi parmi CHCl₂-CF₃ et CFCl₂-CH₃.
