Definitions

  • the invention relates to a torsion band door lock for motor vehicle doors, consisting of a by means of a bearing block on a door arrangement part, door or door spar about an axis at least approximately parallel to the door hinge axis hinged door support rod and a rigid holder housing struck by the door support rod on the other door arrangement part, wherein the door support rod is designed as a torsion band and is supported on the one hand with respect to its torsion axis in the bearing block forming its pivot bearing.
  • a first type of door lock known from DE-U-87 09 421, for example, the braking or. Holding force of the door arrester spring load applied by pressure springs or elastic intermediate bodies accommodated in the holder housing and directly acting on the brake body interacting with the door retaining rod, which naturally entails a relatively high production outlay for the door arrester, even if one of the two brake bodies interacting with the door retaining rod is fixed and only the second brake body cooperating with the door support rod is subjected to the load of a compression spring or elastic intermediate body supported against the holder housing.
  • a modified type of such door arrester at least one of the brake bodies interacting with the door holding rod is acted upon by the load of a torsion bar spring supported against the holder housing.
  • the door With such a design of a door arrester, the door can be walked in a reasonably quiet manner, and in the absence of locking marks, the door can be securely locked in certain opening positions. Due to the fact that corrosion inevitably occurs over time, a considerable amount of noise can certainly be expected when the twisted area of the door holding rod passes through the through slot of the holder housing.
  • a particularly disadvantageous effect in the known door arrester is the fact that the door support rod twisted about its longitudinal axis gradually has its longitudinal edges with inlet grooves in the brake or.
  • Slit recess forming the holding body of the flat material blank forming the holder housing is produced, which necessarily leads to an expansion of the slit recess and thus, on the one hand, to a constantly increasing reduction in means of the latter Door brake applied braking force and on the other hand leads to an uncertainty in the locking of the door.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a door arrester of the type mentioned in such a way that it has the advantages of a door arrester of the first-mentioned type to be designed in a compact manner and the advantage of a high braking and holding force, as is the case for Door lock equipped with a torsion bar spring is characteristic, is self-contained and can be produced with significantly less effort compared to both known types with at least the same maintenance freedom and long service life.
  • the door support rod consists of a simple or folded flat material blank and is provided with brake ramps designed transversely to its plane of movement, at least starting from its longitudinal center starting at its longitudinal edge and rising between them, and that the door support rod is at the same time is guided in the holder housing between two rigidly mounted brake bodies, the brake bodies being formed by rollers or needles made of a wear-resistant material, in particular steel, and being rotatably mounted in the rigid holder housing.
  • a door holding rod with at least from its longitudinal center, transversely to its plane of movement and braking latches provided between these locking marks, as a torsion band, enables an optimally simple construction of the door arrester, since that is a flat material blank formed door support rod is designed to be twistable around or parallel to its longitudinal axis.
  • a flat material blank formed door support rod is designed to be twistable around or parallel to its longitudinal axis.
  • the design of the brake body as rollers or needles made of a wear-resistant material also allows for a silent or at least very quiet movement of the door arrester with the simplest design of the storage of the brake body, which not least results from the fact that neither the holder housing nor the brake body stored therein has the torsional resistance the door support bar can yield.
  • the invention can be implemented in a variety of configurations, a particular embodiment being seen in the fact that the door holding rod is provided with ramps designed to rise from its one longitudinal edge to its other longitudinal edge, and also with moldings forming locking marks enclosed by these.
  • the door support bar which consists of a flat material blank, is provided on at least one of its longitudinal edges with an edge bead projecting on one side with respect to its plane of movement.
  • the two longitudinal beads are each directed opposite to each other, i.e. that, based on the width of the door holding rod, the longitudinal bead arranged on one longitudinal side points downward and the longitudinal bead arranged on the other longitudinal side points upward.
  • the door holding rod formed from a flat material blank with its end having a pivot eye is received between the two arms of a two-armed bearing block in such a way that the torque resulting from the torsional load on the door holding rod is supported directly against the arms of the bearing block.
  • the door holding rod can be mounted on the rivet bolt with a ring of bearing material for the purpose of largely reducing metallic friction, if necessary by lining the inner circumference of its articulation eye.
  • the door holding rod is connected to a solid bearing sleeve by means of a positive engagement by means of positive engagement and the bearing sleeve in turn is mounted on the two-armed bearing block by means of a bearing pin which passes through it, in particular in the form of a rivet bolt.
  • the door holding rod can be made by means of a circumferential groove in the bearing sleeve and off-center to its length, e.g. be connected in the lower third, so that there is a certain amount of design freedom with regard to the design or adaptation of the articulation of the door support rod.
  • a further, in particular mechanically producible, design of the pivot bearing of the door holding rod is characterized in that the bearing sleeve supporting or supporting the door holding rod on the bearing pin of the two-armed bearing block is formed by a compression bushing, the compression bushing, on the one hand, resting against the door support rod without play via two compression collars, and on the other hand over each end collar on each of the two arms of the bearing block.
  • the holder housing is formed by a block of material provided with through holes for fastening screws
  • the block of material forming the holder housing is advantageously formed in one piece as an injection molded part, in particular from a plastic material.
  • grooves or the like which are open to the outside are expediently provided, into which the rollers forming the brake body can be inserted and fixed by subsequent caulking of the groove edges.
  • a direct screw fastening of a holder housing designed as a one-piece material block to the associated door arrangement part can also be provided by means of a sheet metal frame, in which case the sheet metal frame with an upper rim overlaps the edge areas of the material block and is fastened to the door arrangement part via lower laterally projecting tabs and screw bolts or the like is.
  • the holder housing can also be designed in two parts, in particular divided parallel to the passage plane of the door holding rod, in which case the two housing parts can also consist of injection molded parts, in particular of a plastic material.
  • the holder housing is designed as a two-part sheet metal housing consisting of a flat pot part and a flat cover part.
  • the door arrester for motor vehicle doors shown in the drawing consists of a by means of a bearing block 1 on one door arrangement part, here door spar 2 about a door holding rod 6 pivotably articulated about an axis 5 which is at least approximately parallel to the door hinge axis 3 of the door 4, and a door holding rod 6 penetrated by the door holding rod 6 on the other door arrangement part , here the door spar 2, hinged holder housing 8.
  • the door holding rod 6 is designed as a door holding band from a flat material blank.
  • the brake bodies 9 mounted in the holder housing 8 are formed by rolling or needles from a wear-resistant material and are each rotatable about fixed axes.
  • the door holding rod 6 consists of a flat material blank and is provided with moldings which are designed to rise from their one longitudinal edge 10 starting from their other longitudinal edge 11 and form braking ramps 12 between them, as shown in the illustration in FIG. 7.
  • the holder housing 8 is formed by a one-piece material block provided with through bores 14 for fastening screws, in particular by an injection molded part, for example made of a plastic material, and the rollers forming the brake bodies 9 are arranged in corresponding recesses 15.
  • FIG. 1 the holder housing 8 is formed by a one-piece material block provided with through bores 14 for fastening screws, in particular by an injection molded part, for example made of a plastic material, and the rollers forming the brake bodies 9 are arranged in corresponding recesses 15.
  • the holder housing 8 is fastened to the vehicle door by means of a sheet metal frame 16 instead of via a direct screw fastening, the sheet metal frame 16 having an upper rim 18 engaging over the edge areas of the material block and is attached to the door via lower laterally projecting tabs 19 and bolts or the like.
  • the holder housing 8 is designed in two parts, in particular divided parallel to the passage plane of the door support rod 6, the two housing parts 20 and 21 made of injection molded parts, in particular made of a plastic material, and are provided with through holes 22 for fastening screws.
  • the holder housing 8 of the door arrester shown in the embodiment according to FIG. 6 is designed as a two-part sheet metal housing consisting of a flat pot part 23 and a flat cover part 24, the brake bodies 9 formed by steel needles being supported against the inner surfaces of the pot part 23.
  • the door holding rod 6 formed from a flat material blank is received with its end having a pivoting eye 25 between the two arms 26 and 27 of a two-armed bearing block 1 in such a way that the moment resulting from the torsional load on the door holding rod 6 is supported directly against the arms 26 and 27 of the bearing block 1.
  • the door holding rod 6 is mounted by means of a rivet bolt which passes through the two arms 26 and 27 of the bearing block 1.
  • the door holding rod 6 is mounted on the rivet bolt 29 with a ring 28 made of bearing material for the purpose of substantially reducing metallic friction in the pivot bearing 1 while lining the inner circumference of its pivot eye 25.
  • the door holding rod 6 is connected to its solid bearing sleeve 30 via its articulation bore 25 by means of a positive engagement, and the bearing sleeve 30 is in turn mounted on the two-armed bearing block 1 by means of a bearing pin which passes through it and is designed as a rivet bolt 29 the door holding rod 6 engages in a circumferential groove of the bearing sleeve 30 and overall eccentrically to its length, in the lower third of which is connected to the bearing sleeve 30.
