Definitions

  • the invention relates to a coin switch for a coin device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a coin machine has a coin validator and at least one coin switch.
  • the coin diverter is required to guide the inserted coin into either the acceptance channel or the return channel after checking. Since more modern coin-operated machines are able to accept a large number of coins, a sorting device is also required, which also requires coin branches.
  • Coin branches which contain a plate element, which is either moved linearly into or out of a coin by an electromagnet. In the former case, the coin hits the plate element and is deflected accordingly.
  • Coin switches are also known which work with upright switch elements in order to feed the incoming coins to different shafts extending underneath. The coins do not collide here, but rather slide along the inclined surface of the switch element before they enter the corresponding shaft. The invention relates to the last-mentioned embodiment.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a coin switch for a coin-operated device, which consists of a minimum number of moving parts, is small in size and requires a low actuation energy.
  • Flap-like armature and switch element form a unit which is pivotally mounted on the coin device about a common axis.
  • the axes of rotation of the switch element (sorting flap) and anchor are coaxial. It is conceivable to also form the switch element from metal.
  • the switch element is molded separately from plastic.
  • the armature has at least one shoulder facing the magnet and the magnet has a yoke section which extends approximately parallel and at a short distance from the shoulder. This creates a very small air gap between armature and magnet, which requires favorable magnetic field guidance. In this way, a relatively high tensile force is applied to the anchor at the beginning of the anchor adjustment, so that the total adjustment time is very short.
  • this design of magnet and armature enables good energy utilization, so that the magnet can be designed for a lower power consumption for a given tensile force.
  • the switch element By forming the switch element from plastic, this can be carried out very easily.
  • the low mass of the switch element requires a small actuation energy and a very short actuation time. This is particularly advantageous for battery operated coin operated devices.
  • the formation of the switch element made of plastic facilitates its spatial design and attachment to the anchor depending on the requirements.
  • the armature and the switch element extend at an angle to one another.
  • Armature and switch element can be arranged on the same side or on the opposite side of the pivot axis. The choice between the designs depends, among other things, on the space available at the place of installation and from the position of the switch element at rest.
  • one possibility of mounting the armature is that the armature is pivotally supported on a yoke plate section which extends on the outside of the magnet toward the armature.
  • the anchor must rest with an edge on the yoke plate section.
  • the yoke plate section can extend through a slot of the armature.
  • the armature is connected to the switch element via at least one lateral pin.
  • the switch element has at least one bearing shell on one edge, which cooperates with a bearing journal of the main plate and the switch element has a slot which is open to the side and into which a guide pin attached to the main plate engages.
  • the bearing pin and guide pin can also be provided on opposite sides of the switch element.
  • the guide slot is preferably in the form of a circular arc, the circular arc being concentric with the pivot axis is. If possible, the switch element should be stored in such a way that it is not impaired even when attempts are made to manipulate it, for example with coins on a thread. With the help of a coin attached to a thread, a not inconsiderable force can be exerted on the switch element.
  • the last-described embodiment of the invention ensures that the storage facility is faultless and protected against malfunction.
  • Another embodiment of the invention provides that the switch element is hinged to the device via a film hinge.
  • the use of film hinges or film joints reduces the effort for assembly and production. In addition, film hinges are almost wear-free.
  • the switch element can be articulated on the device via a bearing journal.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the armature can be attached to a mounting plate which is laterally rigidly connected to the switch element. This embodiment is advantageous if the mounting plate is laterally rigidly connected to the switch element.
  • the mounting plate and switch element can therefore be molded in one piece from plastic.
  • the receiving element can also be hinged to the device via a film hinge.
  • the yoke provided for the magnet is L-shaped, and the one web can have a receiving slot for the magnetic core, which is fixed in the receiving slot.
  • the magnetic core can consist of two adjacent core plates, which are bent to the side and to the rear on the end face of the magnet facing the armature to form the yoke sections, which interact with the lateral approaches of the armature.
  • the yoke element can also be used to fix the magnet in the device.
  • the outer web of the yoke element is received like a shoe by a holding component.
  • the outer web of the yoke element can also be guided in a holding slot of a holding component and fixed therein with the aid of a latching connection.
  • a switch element 10 made of plastic material is articulated to a web 14 made of plastic via spaced film hinge sections 12, for example formed by perforation.
  • the web 14 is in one piece with one Shoe-shaped receptacle 16, shaped in cross section with grooves 18 and 20.
  • the switch element 10 is connected to a receiving plate 24 via a rigid web 22.
  • the mounting plate 24 is connected to the mounting 16 via film hinge sections 26.
  • the parts 10, 12, 14, 22, 24 and 16 are therefore one unit.
  • Hook-shaped projections 28, 30 are provided on the receiving plate 24 at a distance.
  • a wire spring 32 on the receptacle 16 presses the receptacle plate 24 away from the receptacle 16 in a position.
  • a nose 34 is provided above the shoulder 28.
  • the magnet arrangement 38 drawn apart in FIG. 1 has an air coil 40 with flanges 42, 44 on the end faces.
  • the cross section is rectangular corresponding to the rectangular coil passage 46.
  • Two magnetic core plates 48, 50, which can be inserted through the coil passage 46, are bent at one end at 52 at right angles and are bent again at right angles from section 52 so that yoke sections 54, 56 are formed are.
  • An L-shaped yoke element 58 has a web 60 which is placed against the flange 44.
  • the other web 62 extends on the underside of the Coil 40.
  • the web 60 has a rectangular receiving slot 64.
  • the assembled magnet arrangement results from FIG. 2 and is designated 38a.
  • the web 60 bears against the flange 44 from the outside, and the rear ends of the magnetic core plates 48, 50 protrude through the receiving slot 64 and, as indicated at 66, can be bent apart to obtain a securing in the receiving slot 64.
  • An anchor 70 has an anchor plate 72 which has a semicircular hole 74 in the upper region and a rectangular recess 76 in the lower region. Ear-like yoke sections are bent backwards from the plate. They are labeled 78 and 80 respectively.
  • the anchor plate 72 is received by the hook-like projections 28, 30, the upper edge 82 of the anchor plate 72 being locked by the nose 34 of the receiving plate 24.
  • the anchor plate 72 rests on the web 62 by gravity.
  • the web 62 is inserted with the outer edges into the grooves 18, 20, with projections 84, 86 extending through corresponding openings in the receptacle 16 and through Bend can be set in it.
  • the magnet arrangement 38a is fixed in the receptacle 16.
  • the wire spring 32 ensures that the armature 70 assumes a position folded away from the magnet (FIG. 3).
  • the lateral yoke sections 78, 80 have a small air gap to the yoke sections 54, 56, so that when the coil 40 is energized, the armature 70 is already initially subjected to a high tensile force.
  • the receiving plate 24 is also pivoted, so that the switch element 10 is also pivoted accordingly.
  • the axes of the film hinges 12, 26 are coaxial, so that only a small amount of energy is required to actuate the switch element 10.
  • the switch element 100 made of plastic material is rotatably supported in a housing section 104 by means of a lateral pin 102.
  • An anchor 106 with an anchor plate 108 similar to the anchor 70 of FIG. 1 or 2 has an extension 110 which has laterally projecting pins 112 which are received in receiving bores 114 of the switch element 100.
  • a magnet arrangement 111 is designed analogously to the magnet arrangement 38a according to FIG. 2, so that it will not be explained in detail.
  • the outside web 115 of the L-shaped yoke, the other web 114 of which bears against the back of the magnet extends through a receiving slot 119 of a holding component 118 of the device and is fixed therein by means of a snap connection 120, which is not described in detail.
  • the web 113 also extends through a slot 122 of the armature 106. As a result, the upper edge 124 of the slot is supported on the web 113, whereby a joint is formed.
  • the pivot axis is coaxial with the pivot axis 126 for the bearing journal 102.
  • the armature plate 108 extends at an angle ⁇ relative to the switch element 100.
  • a corresponding adjustment can be made, for example, to a sorting device.
  • the coin switch or sorting switch shown is small and requires relatively few, wear-free parts. The energy consumption of the magnet is low.
  • a switch element 100a made of plastic is supported by means of bearing pins 150.
  • the bearing pins 150 are part of the main plate 151, which is only indicated.
  • the anchor section is also not shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.
  • the switch element 100a has bearing shells 152 which are open at the bottom. Accordingly, the switch element 100a is supported only on the bearing journal 150 from above.
  • the switch element 100a has, on opposite sides, an opening or slot 154 which is open to the side and is approximately in the form of a circular arc. He participates a guide pin 156 together, which is also attached to the main plate 151. It is approximately semicircular in cross section and fits approximately in slot 154 in order to hold and guide the switch element 100a in the bearing.
