Definitions

  • the invention relates to a table with the following parts: an adjustable table top with a guide pin arrangement below the table top, a table leg with a vertically running guide rail arrangement in which the guide pin arrangement is guided, a table top support connected to the table leg, at which table the table top is adjustable from a horizontal working position supported by the table top support into a vertical position and in the latter can be displaced along the table leg into a vertical rest position and vice versa.
  • Such a table is known from DE-PS 26 155.
  • This model which dates from 1883, has a star-shaped base structure consisting of three parts, which ends in a star-shaped table top support in the upper part. Two of the parts of the underframe can be folded down against the third one, which carries the vertical guide rail arrangement.
  • the guide rail arrangement is designed in such a way that a rail provided with a vertical slot is screwed in front of the end face of a table leg, through which a transverse guide pin extends, which in turn is held below the table top in a pin holder.
  • the well-known table is designed as a collapsible piece of furniture.
  • the table base frame can be folded up and the vertically guided table top can be folded in a vertical rest position can be moved to an end point.
  • the table top is also provided with two hinged wings.
  • a disadvantage of the known furniture appears that the pin is guided only in a single guide rail with an upper stop point, so that if the table top is inadvertently lifted, it moves into the vertical position and can slide down. Against this, a locking mechanism M is provided, but this requires additional measures and brings undesired protruding parts in the area of the table top. In addition, the guide may be slightly tilted, so that the operation of the table is not trouble-free.
  • the guide rail arrangement consists of two partial rails which are arranged on two opposite sides of the table leg, and that the guide pin arrangement consists of at least two pins, one of which is guided in one of the partial rails is.
  • This new arrangement basically has the advantage that safe guidance of the relatively heavy table top when sliding up and down is possible within the vertical rail. It also has the advantage that when the rails are slightly offset from one another in the horizontal direction, a defined end or rest point is very easy to construct, which prevents the table top from being inadvertently lifted and disengaged.
  • a guide track entering a horizontal section is provided in the upper region.
  • the guide track can end in an L-shaped or U-shaped end with its horizontal section.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment is considered to be the one in which the two pegs associated with the opposing partial rails are offset from one another in the vertical direction and run into differently configured upper guide track sections. It is thus possible that when the table top is locked in the working position, the upper pin strikes an end area remote from the vertical guide track and the lower pin strikes an end area adjacent to the vertical guide track.
  • At least one further pin be assigned to the guide pin arrangement, which slides in or on a further guide.
  • the table leg is divided into a rigid and a pivotable leg part, each of which an upper and a lower vertical section of the partial rail is assigned. In the working position of the table leg, there is then a joint at which the two vertical sections meet in alignment.
  • parts of the table top support are also attached to the pivotable leg part so that it can also be pivoted in.
  • FIG. 1 shows a table 1 with an adjustable table top 2 according to the invention.
  • the table top rests on two spaced table legs 3, 4, which run down into feet 24 and are connected by a cross member 5.
  • two support beams 7 are vertically raised, which together with a connecting piece of the traverse to the table legs form a rest position holder 6 for the table top 2, as will be explained.
  • the table 1 At rest, d. H. with the table top adjusted in the vertical position, the table 1 is shown in FIG.
  • the table top 2 carries two guide pin arrangements 10, 10 'on its underside 2', which is predetermined by the distance between the table legs 3, 4.
  • the guide pin arrangements 10, 10 ' are designed as a type of U-shaped claw 32, as can be seen in FIG. 10.
  • the guide pin arrangements 10, 10 'each comprise one of the two table legs 3, 4, as is shown, for example, in FIG. 11.
  • the table legs 3, 4 are each provided on their outside and inside with an outer part rail 11, 12 and an inner part rail 11 ', 12'.
  • the part rails include guide grooves.
  • the part rails 11, 11 'or 12, 12' belonging to a leg 3 or 4 form a guide rail arrangement 8 which are arranged on two opposite sides of the table leg 3.
  • the pin 17, 18 carrying claw 32 is made of plastic and is located below the table top 2, as can be seen from Figures 2 and 3. With the two pins 17, 18, the guide pin arrangement 8 engages in a partial rail.
  • Each of the four sub-rails guides one of the two pins 17, 18.
  • the sub-rail 11 does not end abruptly in the vertical region, but rather runs into a horizontal section 13 which runs from the guide rail 11 in the direction of the table top support 9. Finally, at the end, the horizontal section ends in a U-shaped end 15 and has a stop 15 'there.
  • a further partial rail 12 lies on the table leg 3 opposite the partial rail 11 (the partial rail 12 ′ can be seen on the table leg 4, which is similar to the concealed partial rail 12 on the table leg 3).
  • a horizontal section 14 is also provided in the partial rail 12 ', but ends in an L-shaped end 16.
  • the two pins 17, 18 assigned to the opposing partial rails 11, 12, 11 ', 12' are offset from one another in the vertical direction. They also run into differently designed upper guide track sections 13 + 15 and 14 + 16.
  • the two pins 17, 18 are each located at the end points of the vertical region of the partial rails 11, 12 '. During further guiding, the pins are guided into the sections 13 and 14, respectively, so that the table top 2 is tilted in the direction of the table top support 9, 9 '. The pin 17 continues its slideway in the end region 15 and finally engages at the stop 15 '. Since the opposite pin 18 assumes a non-mirror-image position, one is for him to provide another guideway, which, however, also provides a rest position when arriving in the end region. In this position, the table top can no longer simply be lifted and may therefore snap out.
  • the two spaced table legs 3 and 4 are provided with essentially the same guide rail arrangements 8.
  • two compatible guide pin devices 10, 10 ' are installed below the table top.
  • the guide pin-guide rail arrangement described above allows the table leg to be divided into a pivotable and a rigid leg part 22 or 21, a separation joint 23 being present.
  • the pivotable leg part carries the table top support 9.
  • the partial rail 11 is divided into an upper and a lower vertical section 11 'and 11''in such a way that the two vertical sections 11' and 11 '' are in alignment with the table leg at the parting line 23. If, on the other hand, the pivotable part of the table leg 3 is pivoted away, as shown in FIG. 5, the parting line is also separated. In this state, the table top 2 cannot simply be pushed upwards. In this respect, by attaching a simple locking mechanism (not shown) there is a possibility of protecting the table against unauthorized use.
  • FIGS. 6 to 9 show, in deviation from the previous illustration, an arrangement which works with a different guide rail arrangement and a different guide pin arrangement.
  • the guide pin arrangement 28 has a claw part 32 with an attached pin carrier 31, which carries a third pin 29.
  • the third pin 29 lies on the side of the lower pin 18 and has a guide track outside of the partial rail 12, as FIGS. 6 and 8 show.
  • An additional partial rail 30 is provided for the third pin 29 and ends in an L-shaped angled horizontal section 33.
  • the additional third pin 29 can also be attached on the opposite side. It ensures a very even and tilt-free guidance of the table top in relation to the table leg.
  • the table described above can also be put together to form a double table, i. H. a table with four legs and two table tops, which are opposite each other in a mirror image and which are connected to each other, as is known for four-legged tables.
  • the basic principle of guiding the table top can therefore also be used for assembled furniture. It should also not be excluded that with a correspondingly low design the table top replaces a seat and that the legs referred to as table legs are then legs of a piece of seating.
