Abstract

346,885. Cabinets, desks, and the like. LOMAS, J. W. W., 9, Mincing Lane, London. Jan. 31, 1930, No. 3385. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (iii).] A piece of furniture, such as a writing-table, desk or a stand for a gramophone or wireless or other apparatus, has a cover connected to the framing by a pivotal sliding attachment, so that the cover may be slid backwards and turned down behind the frame. Fig. 3 shows a part of a writing-table with a lid or cover 18 connected to the framing 11 by two hinges shown in Figs. 5 and 6. The part 23 of each hinge has a stud 29 fitted in slotted plate 26 on the underside of the lid ; the part 23 is attached to the back of the box in the usual way.
