Definitions

  • the invention relates to a frame for windows made of plastic with frame profiles designed as hollow profiles, which are mechanically or welded together in the corner areas, at least two glass panes being used, which enclose an intermediate space with an air cushion, the inside and outside of the frame profile Angular washer webs are formed, which form a circumferential, narrow support surface for the pane edges in the composite frame, the washer edges are diffusion-tightly connected to the support surface and pressure compensation elements are arranged on the profile walls directed towards the space in order to compensate for pressure fluctuations between the panes.
  • Such frames are assembled with the known insulating glass panes.
  • Such insulating glass panes are usually individual panes with an organically bonded edge bond.
  • a spacer preferably an aluminum frame, is arranged in the area of the pane edges.
  • the remaining cavity above this spacer frame up to the edge of the pane is filled with a permanently elastic sealant.
  • thermoplastic sealants can also be used.
  • the perforated spacer frame filled and perforated with a highly active adsorbent is completely covered on the outer surface with a permanently plastic sealant, e.g. B. butyl provided.
  • a permanently plastic sealant e.g. B. butyl provided.
  • This inner seal primarily serves to seal the space between the panes against the ingress of water vapor. This takes advantage of the fact that butyl has a very low water vapor diffusion rate.
  • the cavity above the spacer frame up to the edge of the pane is again filled with permanently elastic sealant for the outer seal (US Pat. No. 3,899,858).
  • the additional edge sealing primarily serves to permanently connect the two panes to absorb the stress from mechanical and thermal influences. In addition, this creates an airtight or gas-tight closure of the space between the panes, so that the penetration of moisture into the space between the panes is almost completely ruled out.
  • the insulating glass panes described are used in plastic frame profiles which are firmly connected at their corners. According to DE-A 28 40 656, this corner connection of the frame profiles can, for example, be done mechanically by means of screws. The connection of the frame profiles can also be done according to DE-U 74 19 472 by miter welding in the corner area. These types of connections are well known, so that the publications mentioned serve only as an example of a known technique.
  • the insulating glass panes are placed in the receiving surfaces of a frame formed in this way and held firmly in place by means of a glazing bead frame.
  • DE-U 82 25 258.0 is mentioned as an example of such a glass holding frame.
  • the insulating glass panes permanently used in such a window frame are subjected to high stresses from environmental influences, e.g. B. air temperature, solar radiation, etc. used. Temperatures of + 80 ° C and above can be reached. These temperature stresses can have a decisive influence on the pane construction. It must be taken into account here that the gas enclosed in the space between the panes changes its pressure with the temperature, which can lead to the panes being bulged in or out. The thermal pressure change can be overlaid by changing the external conditions - air pressure, wind load etc. - and amplified in the worst case.
  • a 1 is an element with at least two spaced apart held discs known, which are interconnected via a spacer bar. In this spacer there is an opening covered by a flexible membrane, which is connected to the outside atmosphere. This membrane is expanded when the gas between the panes expands when heated, so that this measure creates a pressure balance between the space between the panes and the outside atmosphere. Covering the opening with the membrane is technically complex and can only be accomplished with an additional operation.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide the frame for the multi-pane glazing thus produced with pressure compensation.
  • the profile wall be designed as a flexible wall area (171) as the pressure compensation element.
  • the frame according to the invention is also to be regarded as a spacer between two glass panes.
  • the frame construction is designed so that a glass pane can be installed on both sides of the wing profile.
  • the pane support webs are angular and form a closed support surface for the window pane, which is thus embedded in a surrounding frame.
  • At least part of the profile wall is advantageously designed as a flexible wall area as a pressure compensation element by means of coextrusion. It has been found to be particularly expedient here that at least one of the pane receiving webs is flexible in the region of the linkage to the frame profile.
  • the window receiving webs are connected to the frame profile via a short intermediate web.
  • a short intermediate web it is possible that in engages the free space between the outer surface of the frame profile and the inner surface of the pane receiving web of the legs of a U-shaped glass holding profile, the opposite leg of which engages over the pane edge, holding it outwards.
  • the frame construction technology according to the invention replaces the multi-leaf windows (compound windows) with single panes.
  • the latter composite windows are much less expensive than the frame technology according to the invention due to the fact that a separate sash must be used for each window pane.
  • the life expectancy of the edge bond in the frame structure according to the invention is more favorable than in the known constructions because of the lower pressure and suction conditions. Furthermore, the pressure equalization in the space between the window panes also reduces or eliminates distorted mirror images, which occur in certain areas in the prior art due to severe deformation of the panes.
  • the high vapor diffusion resistance of the PVC profiles and the fact that the profile corners are welded airtight in the miter area makes it possible to use the frame itself as a spacer for the pane assembly. If necessary, the vapor diffusion resistance factor can be increased accordingly by suitable measures such as painting, film application, vapor deposition and the like.
  • the pressure equalization between the interior of the pane and the ambient atmosphere is achieved via the pressure equalization element molded into the profile wall. If this pressure compensation element is arranged, for example, in the area of the inner disk receiving web, then the inner disk can move over this elastic connection in such a construction, as a result of which the air gap between the two disks becomes larger or smaller depending on the direction of force.
  • the glass retaining profile is used to secure the window panes in their seat in the angular pane receiving webs. It is a U-shaped profile, which is mitred and circumferentially arranged over the edge of the pane in such a way that one leg of the U-profile overlaps the edge of the pane, while the other U-leg engages behind the inner surface of the disc receiving web. In this way, the panes are mechanically secured to the bearing surface of the pane receiving web in addition to the adhesive via the permanently elastic sealant. If the window pane is subjected to internal pressure, the glass retaining profile also prevents the window pane from being lifted off the pane support web.
  • the frame profile with its rigid frame areas and its flexible pressure compensation element is made in one piece by coextrusion.
  • the frame profile 1 is shown as a sash profile together with a frame 2 as a window system construction.
  • the sectional view shows a center seal system with the center seal 21 on the frame 2 and the inner seal 11 on the casement 1.
  • the casement 2 has a water drain opening 22 which connects the hollow chamber 23 formed between the casement 1 and the frame 2 via the hollow chamber 24 to the outside atmosphere.
  • the sash 1 has a main hollow chamber 12 which serves to receive reinforcing elements 3, gear parts 4 or similar installation elements.
  • the outer angular disk receiving web 14 is arranged to the frame 2.
  • the disk receiving web 14 has a profiled bearing surface and is closed off by the angular web 141 running towards the frame.
  • the angular web 141 corresponds to the thickness of the externally arranged window pane 5.
  • the angular web 141 and the edge 51 of the window pane 5 are overlapped by the legs 61, 62 of the U-shaped glass holding profile 6.
  • the U-shaped glass holding profile 6 engages with the leg 62 in the free space 7 between the outer surface 15 of the frame profile 1 and the inner surface 142 of the pane opening web 14.
  • the inner disc receiving web 17 is arranged in the extension of the inner surface 16 of the frame profile 1.
  • the connection of the inner pane support web 17 to the associated profile wall of the frame profile 1 is created by the pressure compensation element 171, which in the illustration shown is a flexible wall area produced in a coextrusion process together with the frame profile 1.
  • the pane receiving web 17 is constructed inward in the same way as the external pane receiving web 14.
  • the edge 81 of the window pane 8 is inserted into the circumferential narrow bearing surface of the pane receiving web 17.
  • the edge 81 of the window pane 8, the inwardly protruding angle leg 172 and the inner surface 173 of the window receiving web 17 are overlapped by the legs or the base of the U-shaped glass holding profile 9.
  • a receiving space 19 is created which is open to the interior between the glass panes 5, 8 and into which a desiccant can be filled.
  • the production of the frame 1 with the window panes 5, 8 is very simple.
  • the frame profile 1 is cut to length according to the desired window size and mitred in the connection area of the frame parts.
  • the frame parts are then connected to each other in a pressure-tight manner in the miter area by welding. Since the pressure compensation element 171 is also made of the same plastic material as the frame itself, perfect welding is also provided in this area.
  • the window panes 5, 8 are introduced one after the other into the bearing surfaces for the pane edges 51, 81 formed on the angular pane receiving webs.
  • the permanently elastic sealant on the surfaces of the bearing surface of the disk receiving webs 14, 17 defines the disk edges in this area in a pressure-tight and diffusion-tight manner.
  • the U-shaped glass holding profile 6, 9 is pushed all around as a mechanical safety device over these edge regions and fixed there. This concludes the frame manufacturing process.
  • a cover profile 111 can be arranged on the inner surface 16 of the frame profile 1, which covers the pane edge 81 at least in the region of the overlap by the U-shaped glass holding profile 9.
