Definitions

  • the invention relates to a multicolor tampon printing machine with a tampon carrier which can be rotated step by step about a first axis, which holds a plurality of tampons, a cliché carrier which can be rotated about a second axis parallel to the first axis, to which a plurality of clichés are attached and which performs a step-rotating movement synchronously with the tampon carrier , wherein the tampon carrier performs a downward and upward lifting movement in addition to the step rotary movement at predetermined fixed rotary positions.
  • Known multi-color pad printing machines consist of several single-color pad printing machines which stand side by side and a conveyor unit which has the task of transporting the printed matter from the first printing machine to the next one. This conveyor unit is also used for indexing, so that the printed goods come to a precise position under the respective single-color pad printing machine, and an accurate print register is achieved.
  • Other known multicolor tampon printing systems have a plurality of single-color tampon printing machines arranged in a circle and a rotary indexing table in the middle, on which the printed matter is attached at given intervals.
  • the rotary indexing table transports the print goods from one single-color pad printing machine to the next, and indexes them in the exact position.
  • These well-known multi-color pad printing machines need so many single-color pad printing machines to produce multi-color printing, how the printed image should have colors. Depending on the cycle rate of the system, several often very complicated print recordings, which correspond to the printing accuracy, are required to hold the print goods. Converting the machine from one print item to another, especially with a different shape, is very cumbersome and often even impossible.
  • Such multi-color pad printing machines are therefore primarily suitable for large series of the same printed goods.
  • an ink transfer pad is guided in a horizontal plane from the cliché to the printing material, and is lowered in the vertical direction in order to take up color from the fixed cliché, each cliché being provided for one color.
  • the ink transfer pad is led from the cliché to the printed matter, lowered and thus the ink is printed. This creates the first cliché print with a dye transfer pad in the order; second cliché print, etc. a multi-color print.
  • Such three-axis printing units are very complex and only suitable to a limited extent for small printed goods.
  • the plate surface on the plate holder, a printed material holder and a tampon cleaning device are arranged in a plane circularly around the tampon carrier so that when the printed material is held immovably, a respective first tampon takes over the printed image from the color printing plate assigned to it, and is simultaneously the tampon preceding this first tampon
  • the printed image is printed on the printed matter and a tampon following the first tampon is cleaned by the cleaning device, this process being carried out cyclically until all the tampons have transferred the respective color printed image to the printed matter, and that a cyclically working cliché inking device is provided, which is applied to each color printing cliché the respective printing ink is applied by the tampons before the print image is taken over, it is ensured that the appropriate color is transferred from the cliché to the ink transfer tampon during the cyclical rotation of the tampon carrier can be given.
  • the multicolor tampon printing machine according to the invention is thus advantageously simple
  • the inking device has a number of ink pots corresponding to the number of colors, which are each assigned to the clichés and are bell-like open to the surface thereof and have a squeegee-like edge there and have an ink cup guide which moves back and forth controls the ink pots above the cliché surface in order to color the latter cyclically and to release them before the print image is taken over by the tampons.
  • a color pot containing a certain ink supply is opened, which opens like a bell towards the cliché surface and forms a squeegee edge in cyclical circulation over the cliché assigned to it and at the same time removes excess printing ink from the cliché surface with the squeegee edge.
  • Such a rod guide for the ink cups represents a simple and at the same time reliable solution for the coloring of the plate surface with the various colors in the ink cups that is necessary with the cyclical circulation of the plate holder.
  • the guide curve is preferably designed as a guide groove, into which the guide rod engages by means of a guide pin which is slidably guided therein. It is advantageous to constantly mix the printing inks even when the printing machine is at a standstill.
  • a separate drive is provided for the guiding curve, which rotates the guiding curve when the cliché holder is at rest, whereby the mixing of the colors in the ink fountains is carried out, because by rotating the guiding curve while the cliché holder is stationary, the ink cups still color the cliché surface to and fro Perform movement.
  • the simple rod guide also enables a simple ink cup holder with leaf springs, which are used to press the ink cups onto the plate surface and a releasable eccentric for tightening and releasing the leaf springs, making it possible for the ink cups to be easily detached from the plate surface and replaced.
  • each individual print of the multicolor print must be positioned precisely over the other.
  • the cliché slides each have longitudinal guide rails for the longitudinal guidance of a movable slide part, permanent magnets for holding the movable slide in the correct position Slide part and an adjusting screw for adjusting the movable slide part in the longitudinal direction.
  • the clichés are preferably made of magnetizable material or have an underlayer made of magnetizable metal, and the permanent magnets simultaneously serve to hold the clichés on the cliché slides.
  • a four-part stroke control curve provided for controlling the downward and upward lifting movement of the tampon carrier is provided with a freewheel, the freewheel taking the stroke control curve with it during normal pressure flow, in order to ensure a constant downward and upward rotating operation of the tampon carrier carry out, however, during the reverse run releases the tampon carrier, so that the stroke control curve remains and the tampon carrier rotates backwards without lifting movement, the tampons not touching the printed material or the clichés.
  • a tampon carrier 2 Arranged on a machine frame 1 is a tampon carrier 2 which is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the paper plane and in the present case has four star-shaped support arms which carry four pressure tampons 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d hanging on their outer ends. Each printing pad is permanently assigned to a specific printing ink.
  • the tampon carrier 2 is gradually rotated from the vertical axis in the direction of an arrow A and simultaneously subjected to a downward and upward lifting movement.
  • a lifting control curve is used for this purpose, which is connected via a freewheel to the shaft rotating the tampon carrier 2.
  • the stroke control curve is divided into four.
  • a freewheel is used during the movement of the tampon carrier 2 in the direction of arrow A to carry out the desired downward and upward lifting movement during the rotation of the tampon carrier 2, the stroke control curve being carried along.
  • the stroke control curve is released and stops, so that the tampon carrier 2 rotates without the stroke movement.
  • the press can be set up.
  • a cliché carrier 6 rotates about an axis parallel to the axis of the tampon carrier 2 (in the direction of arrow B), so that the associated cliché 14a, 14b, 14c coated with paint is kept in step with the gradual rotary movement of the tampon carrier 2 , 14d is opposite the respectively assigned color printing pad 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, so that the latter can take over the printing ink from the cliché after the pad holder 2 has moved downward.
  • the printing ink is applied to the clichés by means of paint pots shown in detail in FIG. 2 on the surface of the clichés, specifically while the clichés have positions in which the respective ink pad does not take on the color from the cliché, that is to say in the positions shown in Fig. 1 have the clichés 14b, 14c and 14d.
  • a rod guide acting on the middle of the top of the ink pots each consisting of a connecting rod 81, a guide rod 82, an articulated rod 83 and a fixed guide curve 7 during normal operation.
  • the guide rod 82 is guided in the groove-shaped guide curve 7 by means of a guide roller 10, pivoted at one end on the rotating plate carrier 6 and pivoted at its other end on the hinge rod 83.
  • the articulated rod 83 is pivotally attached at its other end to the connecting rod 81, which in turn is pivotally articulated at one end on the cliché support 6 and at its other end pivotally to the said paint pots.
  • the ink pots 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d thus perform a back and forth movement symbolized by double arrows a, b, c, d over the surface of the clichés during the normal rotary movement of the cliché carrier 6, so that in the ink transfer position, ie in FIG. 1 the position assumed by the cliché 14a, the ink cup 15a releases the cliché surface and inks the cliché surface in the other positions.
  • a separate drive (not shown) is provided for the guide curve 7, which ensures that the guide curve 7 can be rotated when the plate holder 6 is stationary.
  • the clichés 14a-14d according to FIGS. 2 and 3 are attached to the top of cross slide-type cliché slides 13a-13d.
  • the cliché slide can be moved linearly by turning a positioning screw 16.
  • guide rails 18 are used.
  • Permanent magnets 17 are used in the upper, displaceable part of each cliché slide 13, which on the one hand have the task of holding the clichés 14 on the surface and on the other hand fix the movable upper part of the cliché slide 13 in the set position.
  • the clichés 14 either consist entirely of magnetizable or magnetic metal or have a layer of such.
  • FIG. 2 which shows a schematic cross section through an ink cup 15 on a plate 14, shows that the ink cup 15 is open to the surface of the plate and forms a doctor-like edge 23 there.
  • This squeegee-like edge section 23 preferably consists of flexible material, for example synthetic material, rubber or the like.
  • FIG. 2 shows an ink cup pressing device which is fastened on the respective connecting rod 8 1.
  • the ink cup pressing device consists of a leaf spring 20 which presses on the top of the ink cup 15 with a clamping head 24 fastened at one end. The pressure exerted by the leaf spring 20 via the clamping head 24 on the ink cup 15 adjust using a paint pot adjusting screw 19.
  • the pressing device also has a manual operating lever 22 for tightening and releasing the leaf spring 20 and an eccentric 21.
  • a position of the manual operating lever 22 and the leaf spring 20 with the clamping head 24 is shown in broken lines in FIG. 2, in which the ink cup 15 is released. In this position, the ink cup 15 can then be removed and cleaned, for example, and filled with new paint.
  • the drive of the shaft of the tampon carrier 2 is not shown in the drawing figures.
  • a stepping gear (not shown) and a geared motor are preferably provided for this drive.
  • the required synchronous running between the drive shafts of the pad holder 2 and the plate holder 6 is ensured in that these shafts are connected to one another by gearwheels, not shown.
  • the tampon carrier 2 has four star-shaped, radially projecting support arms, on the underside of which the tampons 12 are attached in a hanging manner.
  • the tampon carrier can also be equipped with an essentially circular support plate instead of the discrete support arms.
  • articulated lever rods 81, 82 and 83 in connection with the guide curve 7 and the guide pin 10 ink cup guide can also be realized in an alternative form by an electromagnetic ink cup actuator, which can also be at least partially integrated in the cliché slide.
