Definitions

  • the invention relates to a one-piece woven tubular belt with a soft insert, in particular a saddle or carrying strap, which on the one hand applies a load to be carried as evenly as possible to the supporting base, e.g. in a backpack transfers the shoulder of the wearer, and on the other hand maintains this property even after long use and under the influence of moisture such as sweat.
  • GB-PS 1 502 138 shows a belt consisting of a woven cover and a filling made of foamed plastic. Although plastics are insensitive to moisture, the mechanical stability of the foamed filling is unsatisfactory. The filling then distributes itself unevenly in the cover, reducing comfort.
  • a padded belt which consists of a woven hose and a cushion insert in the form of a bundle of fluffy cords. The latter are loosely inserted into the hose during weaving and are therefore not integrally connected to it.
  • the belt according to DE-GM 1 661 038 differs from this belt only in that an insert made of foam rubber is used instead of the cords. In both cases, the insert tends to deform or shift in the hose under load, reducing comfort.
  • a belt is known from German utility model G 90 00 555, which is woven in one piece and has a plurality of elongated tubular sections, each of which contains an elongated cord-like filling.
  • This division of the total width of the belt into several sections prevents the filling from shifting in the transverse direction when worn.
  • this advantage is paid for by reduced wearing comfort, since the individual tubular sections containing the elongated cords form longitudinal beads and there can therefore no longer be any question of a uniform, flat transmission of force to the carrier.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a one-piece woven tubular belt with a soft insert which can be produced inexpensively on high-speed ribbon weaving machines, the insert of which cannot shift during use and which nevertheless does not have any longitudinal beads which impair comfort.
  • the insert is also woven in one piece with the hose, such that a common weft thread runs cyclically one after the other through one hose half, at least once through the insert and through the second hose half.
  • the feature of claim 2 leads to a belt whose insert can be of any thickness depending on the choice of the number of layers, the individual layers not being able to move against one another.
  • the material of the warp threads can also be optimized according to the different demands on the hose or the insert, as is required in claim 5.
  • a particularly stable structure is obtained if, according to claim 6 or 7, the insert is attached to the hose by means of individual warp threads, which run alternately through the insert and one of the hose halves, optionally on one hose half or on both.
  • Figure 1 shows the weaving pattern of the hose belt according to the invention.
  • FIG. 2 additionally shows how the insert can be attached to a tube half.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic section in the warp direction through a belt according to the invention, the weft direction being perpendicular to the plane of the illustration. It is a belt with a linen weave in the area of the lower and upper hose halves 1 and 2 and with an insert 3 which is formed in two layers and has a loose warp weave running through its two layers. This bond is also called "English bond”.
  • the weft thread for example 4, runs through all four layers one after the other and cyclically, which leads to the fact that the insert on the belt edges, which are located in front of and behind the plane of the drawing, is fixed with the tube enveloping the insert and consisting of the tube halves 1 and 2 connected is.
  • the warp threads 5 in the lower hose half 1 and / or the upper hose half 2 can be selected with regard to special properties of the cover layer of the belt, for example, they can be designed as relatively thin and tightly lying cotton threads, while the warp threads 6 of the insert are preferably made as bulky synthetic material that create volume and do not absorb moisture. Accordingly, the warp thread density in the areas of the hose 1 and 2 can be selected to be significantly higher than in the area of the insert 3. The volume of the insert 3 can be increased further by means of a filling chain 8.
  • connection between the insert and the hose along the two belt edges alone is not sufficient, it is possible within the scope of the invention to provide tack webs evenly distributed in the longitudinal direction over the width of the belt. These webs are created during the weaving process by using individual warp threads, e.g. 7 from the area of the lower hose half 1, into the adjacent layer of the insert 3 and vice versa, as shown in FIG. 2. Of course, it is also possible to create a similar bond between the insert and the other tube half 2. For the sake of clarity, the other warp threads that can be seen in FIG. 1 were not shown in FIG. 2.
  • This stapling of the insert on one or both halves of the tube allows the stability of the insert to be optimally adapted to the particular intended use.
  • the insert can also consist of more than two shot levels, if a greater thickness is desired.
  • the types of binding indicated are advantageous for many applications, they are not the only possible ones within the scope of the invention.
  • the invention results in a belt whose wearing comfort is maintained over a substantially longer service life even under unfavorable conditions.
  • the hose of which is divided into longitudinal tubes and filled with cords, in which case the invention is also characterized by increased wearing comfort because of the non-existent beads.
  • the thickness and softness of the belt can be increased by a multi-layer insert without the latter becoming unstable in the weft direction, as would be the case when the longitudinal tubes were too voluminous.
