Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kontaktbandtrockner, bestehend aus einem endlosen Förderband für den Transport eines zu trocknenden Produktes, einer unterhalb des Förderbandes angeordneten unteren Heizplatte, einer oberhalb des Förderbandes angeordneten oberen Heizplatte, einer Gasverteilungseinrichtung für heißes Gas und einer Gasabsaugeinrichtung.
- Kontaktbandtrockner werden beispielsweise für die Trocknung von Farbstoffen und Pigmenten bei häufigem Produktwechsel eingesetzt.
- Es ist bekannt, bei solchen Kontaktbandtrocknern - die bei häufigem Produktwechsel leicht gereinigt werden können - die Gasführung, im wesentlichen notwendig zur Brüdenausschleusung - Brüden aus dem zu trocknenden Produkt - über das auf dem Förderband liegende und durch den Kontaktbandtrockner hindurchlaufende zu trocknende Produkt strömen zu lassen. Die dabei erzielbaren Verdampfungsleistungen sind jedoch so gering, daß ein wirtschaftlicher Betrieb - im Vergleich zu anderen Trocknertypen, beispielsweise einem Trockenschrank - nicht möglich ist.
- Es stellte sich daher die Aufgabe, die Verdampfungsleistung des Kontaktbandtrockners deutlich zu erhöhen, ohne die Reinigungsfreundlichkeit zu beeinträchtigen.
- Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die Gasverteilungseinrichtung in die obere Heizplatte integriert und als Lochplatte ausgebildet ist.
- Weitere Merkmale des erfindungsgemäßen Kontaktbandtrockners sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.
- Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung mit den wesentlichen erfindungsgemäßen Merkmalen ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt und wird im folgenden näher beschrieben.
- Figur 1 zeigt einen Längsschnitt durch den Kontaktbandtrockner,
- Figur 2 zeigt einen Schnitt A-A durch den Kontaktbandtrockner.
- Der Kontaktbandtrockner besteht aus einem endlosen, angetriebenen Förderband 1, das über zwei Rollen 2 umgelenkt wird. Unterhalb des Förderbandes ist eine untere Heizplatte 3 und oberhalb des Förderbandes eine obere Heizplatte 4 angeordnet. Das zu trocknende Produkt 5 wandert während des Trocknungsvorganges durch den Kontaktbandtrockner hindurch. Die obere Heizplatte ist hierbei als Lochplatte 6 ausgebildet. Das dem Kontaktbandtrockner zuströmende heiße Gas 7 wird über eine senkrecht zur Anströmrichtung des Gases angeordnete Prallplatte 8 umgelenkt, strömt anschließend durch die gelochte obere Heizplatte hindurch und über das zu trocknende Produkt hinweg. Das Gas dient einerseits zur Ausschleusung der Brüden - die bei der Trocknung des Produktes aus demselben ausströmen - und andererseits zur Wärmezufuhr an das Produkt.
- Dieses Gas-/Brüdengemisch wird über die Gasabsaugeinrichtung 9 aus dem Kontaktbandtrockner abgesaugt. Hierbei sollte die Geschwindigkeit des abströmenden Gases 1-2 m/sek, bezogen auf den freien Querschnitt, betragen. Der Abstand zwischen Förderband und oberer Heizplatte - Lochplatte - sollte zwischen 100 und 300 mm liegen.
- Der Lochdurchmesser in der Lochplatte sollte zwischen 1 und 4 mm liegen, der Lochabstand sollte 10 bis 70 mm betragen.
- Es versteht sich von selbst, daß die Lochplatte auch mit Schlitzdüsen oder ähnlichen Ausführungsformen hergestellt werden kann.
- Überraschenderweise konnte mittels dieser speziellen Gasverteilungseinrichtung die Verdampfungsleistung des Kontaktbandtrockners bei der Trocknung von Feststoffen und Pigmenten um ca. 100 % verbessert werden. Die resultierende Verdampfungsleistung ist so groß, daß der Kontaktbandtrockner wirtschaftlich betrieben werden kann. Gleichzeitig bleibt der Vorzug dieses Apparatetyps erhalten, nämlich die sehr gute und schnelle Reinigbarkeit bei Produktwechsel.
