Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of the main claim and an associated bathing apparatus.
  • sanitary apparatus encompasses those sanitary apparatuses which absorb water, such as bathtubs, swimming pools, shower trays, etc. As far as in connection with a sanitary apparatus below a bathtub is spoken, this is only an example.
  • whirl pools Bathtubs that have been designed as so-called "whirl pools” have long been known. Air and / or water is fed into the filled bathtub individually or as a mixture under pressure via one or more pumps. The supply is usually via small nozzles, so that the air and / or water are injected in the form of fine jets. Such whirl pools are used primarily for massage purposes, but also for other medical applications.
  • whirl pools have a large number of small openings in the floor or wall. These can either be simple bores or nozzles that are fastened in the bores and in some cases allow the flow direction to be adjustable.
  • the installation system represents a major problem. Since the opening / nozzles run at a greater or lesser distance from one another, each of the prior art has so far been connected to its own water / air supply. The installation effort is very large depending on the number of nozzles (for example 50 to 100). Another disadvantage is that the installation takes place outside the sanitary unit and existing units cannot be retrofitted at all or only with difficulty. Repairs are also difficult or impossible.
  • whirl pools also have a suction device, for example via a fixedly mounted suction pipe. Due to the small cross-section of the suction line the flow speed is relatively high, which has led to accidents in the past, e.g. children with their hair getting into the suction line. One death was recently reported.
  • the invention has for its object to offer a possibility of constructive simplification for the design of sanitary appliances, into which air and / or water is injected to form a "whirl pool" under pressure and which has a suction device for excess water. A subsequent retrofitting of existing sanitary equipment is also sought.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that the manifold problems known from the prior art can be solved in a surprisingly simple manner by supplying the air and / or water to be introduced via a channel-like strip instead of individual openings / nozzles is centrally connected to an air and water supply and to a central water outlet and is arranged either inside (on the surface) of the sanitary apparatus or in its floor / wall.
  • the nozzle-like supply of air / water is ensured by a correspondingly perforated cover on the bar.
  • a corresponding cross-section of the channel-like strip With a corresponding cross-section of the channel-like strip, a uniform pressure can be provided over the entire surface of the perforated cover strip.
  • any number of nozzles are supplied with air and / or water via the channel-like strip.
  • the connection between the bathtub and the bar can be made using a simple sleeve. Both air and water can be fed in with a single supply line from a pump via the sleeve into the strip, provided a pump of the type described in DE-PS 35 37 039 is used.
  • a corresponding inclination of the bar or a design of the bottom of the bar with an incline ensures that no residual water remains in the bar even after the water has been drained from the bathtub. This significantly improves hygiene.
  • the invention relates to a device according to claim 1.
  • the cover If the bar is subsequently arranged in an existing bathtub, it is advisable to design the cover so that it projects beyond the side walls of the bar and runs out in the inner surface of the tub.
  • the cover has an arched shape. At the same time, a risk of injury due to missing edges is excluded.
  • the bar Since the bar only has to have a low overall height (for example 2 cm), it does not interfere with subsequent application to the floor or the wall of the tub.
  • the bar can also have any length and width. It can have a rectangular shape when viewed from above, but it can also have a circular shape or the like.
  • the bar can also be designed as a ring.
  • the openings in the cover should not exceed 2 mm in diameter. As a result, it is almost completely ruled out that foreign bodies are sucked off through the cover.
  • the openings can also be designed in the form of nozzles which are fixed in the cover in a directionally adjustable manner.
  • the nozzles can consist of balls that have a central bore and are rotatably mounted in a corresponding receptacle fastened in the cover. In this way, the direction of exit of the air and / or water flow can be adjusted from the outside.
  • the cover is removable to allow cleaning of the bar. This is also an essential advantage of the device according to the invention, because wet zones in which dirt particles and pathogens can collect are avoided.
  • the cover can be attached to the walls of the bar, for example with the help of clips.
  • the bar In order to separate the air / water supply from the water suction, the bar is divided into different, separate zones. In the simplest case, this is done by arranging vertical partition walls in the longitudinal direction of the rail. However, it is also possible to surround the zone for air / water supply with a kind of ring channel for suction, as will be explained in more detail in the following description of the figures.
  • At least one zone is connected to the air and / or water supply and at least one zone to the water discharge line.
  • a check valve can be arranged in the feed line or in the connection area of the feed line to the bar in order to prevent the water injected from flowing back.
  • the cross-sectional shape of the bar is otherwise arbitrary. While a rectangular shape with a low height and a convex cover with respect to the inner surface of the bathtub is suitable for retrofitting, the bar for assembly on newly manufactured bathtubs can also have a semicircular shape, for example, and from the outside in the area of a corresponding groove in the floor or be attached to the wall of the bathtub. However, it is also proposed to form the device according to the invention integrally with the tub. This is also explained in more detail below.
  • the invention also relates to a sanitary bath apparatus designed with the aforementioned device according to claims 9 and 10.
  • the device In order to prevent connection points between the tub and the device, which may allow dirt or bacteria to accumulate, the device should therefore be an integral part of the tub. This can be done, for example, by molding the bar from the bottom or the wall of the tub. Then only the corresponding connections and a cover are to be provided.
  • the bathtub 10 shown in FIGS. 1, 2 has an opening 14 in the base 12, from which an outflow pipe 16 and a supply pipe 18 arranged concentrically therein extend outwards, the supply pipe 18 being the outflow pipe 16 protrudes in the curvature area at 20.
  • the feed pipe 18 is connected to a pump (not shown) via which an air / water mixture is fed into the tub 10 under pressure.
  • a section 22 which is U-shaped in section is fastened to the bottom 12 of the tub 10 and is tightly connected to the feed pipe 18.
  • the strip 22 is delimited at the top by a cover 24 which is convex with respect to the base 12 and which projects beyond the side walls 26 of the strip 22 and runs out into the inner surface of the base 12.
  • the cover 24 also projects beyond the strip 22 at the front and rear ends, so that an oval base area is covered in the view (FIG. 3).
  • the drain pipe 16 runs below the protruding part of the cover 24.
  • the air / water mixture is fed via the feed pipe 18 into the space between the strip 22 and the cover 24 and is injected into the water in the tub 10 via the openings 28 in the cover 24.
  • the section of the cover 24 projecting beyond the strip 22 also has openings (perforations) through which the water reaches the section 32 below, from where it is led away via the drain pipe 16.
  • the entire bottom surface of the tub 10 can be formed as a "nozzle surface" due to the device according to the invention, as shown in FIG. 3.
  • the device can also be easily retrofitted, and even the existing drain of the tub can be used to connect the pipes mentioned. By simply taking it off the cover 24 releasably attached to the bar 22, the device is easy to clean. Because of its inclined arrangement towards the drain pipe 16, 30 residual water also runs off automatically when the water is drained.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 While the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is particularly suitable for retrofitting existing tubs, FIGS. 4 to 7 show alternative embodiments that can be advantageously implemented particularly in the case of new tubs.
  • the line 18 opens into the area of the tub 10, which is covered by a first cover 24, which - similar to FIG. 1 - runs in the longitudinal direction of the tub and with a large number of openings (here: 80 pieces, distributed over the length and Width of the cover) is formed.
  • the further cover 24 runs parallel to it and covers the area of the drain pipe 16. Both covers are detachably attached to clips on the tub floor.
  • the bottom 12 of the tub 10 is formed with a bead-like channel-like depression which extends in the longitudinal direction of the tub and is delimited at the top by a cover 24 which is flush with the inner surface of the bottom 12.
  • the space 38 formed in this way is divided into three sections by additional partition walls 40, the middle section 40a serving for supplying the air / water mixture and the lateral zones 40b serving for water return, in the manner described above.
  • the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 6 is similar to that according to FIG. 5, but here the individual zones are not arranged next to one another, but rather as follows:
  • the zone 40a for supplying the air / water mixture is separated by a wall 40 from a U-shaped channel 40b separated, which is used for water return.
  • the return duct is not placed next to the feed zone, but rather around it. As a result, the overall height of the recess 36 greater; the width is smaller at the same time.
  • FIG. 7 corresponds, with one exception, to that according to FIG. 6.
  • the cover 24 does not align with the inner surface of the bottom 12 here, but is - similar to that in FIG. 1 - curved and projects beyond the recess 36 on both sides. It is of course removable again.
