Definitions

  • the invention relates to a knife shaft stripping device for document shredders, whose one-piece stripping webs are arranged in the cutting unit in the cutting zone between the knives of the knife shafts.
  • scraper webs of such scraper devices prevent in the cutting units that the comminuted material penetrates into the spaces between the knives of the knife shafts and can get stuck there. Fixing the shredded material between the knives of the knife shafts would lead to malfunctions.
  • scraper webs in one piece in the form of a scraper in the form of a scraper.
  • the scraper grids are fastened in the side parts of the cutting unit, in which the bearings of the knife shafts are also arranged.
  • the invention has for its object to simplify the structure of a document shredder and to reduce the number of items.
  • the invention has the characterizing features of claim 1.
  • the scraper bars are made of plastic and are injection-molded in one piece either with an upper housing part or a lower housing part, that the scraper bars are assigned supporting webs which are likewise made of plastic and are injection-molded in one piece with the opposite lower housing part or upper housing part, in the upper housing part and in the lower housing part
  • Storage space are arranged for the knife shafts, and that the stripping webs and the supporting webs are provided with supporting surfaces which lie one on top of the other in the assembled state of the cutting mechanism, such that the stripping webs are supported, a simplified structure of the document shredder is achieved. This makes it possible to reduce the costs for the production of the individual parts, and the assembly costs are also reduced. Surprisingly, it has been shown that it is possible to injection-mold the plastic scraper bars, provided that support bars are arranged which give the scraper bars the required stability.
  • the knife shaft stripping device is designed in such a way that the stripping webs are injection-molded in one piece with the upper housing part and formed like a comb from above between the knives of the knife shafts, and that the supporting webs are injection-molded in one piece with the housing lower part.
  • the upper housing part with the comb-like stripping bars can thus be assembled in a final work step after mounting the knife shafts.
  • the support webs are preferably arranged below the knife shafts, so that they form a support surface for the support surfaces of the wiper webs. This solution is particularly cheap in terms of injection technology.
  • the support surfaces for the scraper webs are advantageously arranged on the sides of the support webs facing the continuous paper. This prevents the continuous paper from being able to press the scraper bars against the respective knife shaft, which would result in malfunctions.
  • An optimal support of the support webs is achieved in that the support surfaces for the scraper webs are arranged at an angle to one another on the sides facing the continuous paper and also on the end faces of the support webs and that the support surfaces of the scraper webs are designed accordingly so that the support surfaces in the assembled state of Cutting unit lie on top of each other. In this way, an exact alignment of the stripping bars parallel to the knife shafts is achieved. For the rest, the effect of the interaction of the wiper webs with the support webs is that the upper housing part in particular is also stiffened.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention results if a receptacle for the drive motor and bearing surfaces for the transmission are additionally arranged in the upper housing part and in the lower housing part.
  • Such a receptacle or the bearing surfaces can be easily integrated into the parts by injection molding.
  • 1 denotes a document shredder in which a cutting unit 2 is arranged.
  • the cutting unit 2 has two knife shafts 3, on which are known per se Interlocking knives 4 are arranged for crushing the writing material.
  • a knife shaft stripping device consisting of two rows of stripping bars 5 and supporting bars 6 is arranged.
  • the stripping webs 5 engage in the spaces between the knives 4 of the knife shafts 3 and fill them. This prevents shredded documents from entering these gaps.
  • the scraper webs 5 are comb-shaped and molded in one piece with an upper housing part 7.
  • the support webs 6, as can also be seen in particular from FIG. 3, are injection-molded in one piece with a lower housing part 8.
  • the support webs 6 have continuous support surfaces 9 which, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, are arranged at an angle to one another.
  • Corresponding support surfaces 10 are arranged on the stripping bars 5. In the assembled state of the cutting unit 2, i.e. When the upper housing part 7 is placed on the lower housing part 8, the supporting surfaces 9 and 10 lie one on top of the other. As can be seen from FIG.
  • the support surfaces 9 of the scraper webs 5 enclose the support surfaces 10 such that the scraper webs are supported by the support webs 6 in both lateral directions and in the vertical direction. This prevents both a lateral displacement of the scraper webs 5 through the paper and a displacement in the direction of the paper travel perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the knife shafts 3.
  • a paper inlet shaft 11 is arranged in the upper housing part 7 for feeding the paper to be shredded.
  • bearing surfaces 12 for the knife shafts 3 are arranged in the lower housing part 8. These bearing surfaces 12 are just like the stripping bars 5 and the supporting bars 6 are injected into the lower housing part 8 and the upper housing part 7.
  • bearing surfaces 15 for a gear 16 are also injected into the upper housing part 7 and the lower housing part 8. The drive motor 14 drives the knife shafts 3 via the gear 16.
  • the paper For shredding, the paper, not shown in the drawing, is introduced into the paper inlet shaft 11 and then reaches the knives 4 of the knife shafts 3.
  • the overlapping knives 4 shred the paper, the stripping webs 5 preventing paper from entering the spaces between the knives 4 entry.
  • the shredded paper then passes through a paper channel 17 formed between the stripping bars 5 and supporting bars 6 arranged on both sides into a collecting container, not shown in the drawing. Since the stripping webs 5 are supported by the supporting webs 6, they are fixed in their position despite their design as a flexible plastic part per se. As has surprisingly been shown, it is ensured on the basis of the design according to the invention that the stripping webs 5 remain in their position during the size reduction process. The forces exerted by the paper to be shredded are not sufficient to deform the stripping webs 5 in such a way that malfunctions occur.
  • the advantages already mentioned result from the formation of the scraper webs 5 and the support webs 6 as a plastic part.
  • the individual parts of the document shredder 1 are very easy to assemble in the design according to the invention. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, it is ultimately only necessary to insert the components into the support webs 6, the bearing surfaces 12 of the knife shafts 3, the receptacle 13 for the drive motor 14 and the bearing surfaces 15 for the gearbox 16, and the upper housing part 7 with to put on the scraper bars 5. The alignment and fixation of the scraper webs 5 takes place automatically on the support surfaces 10 of the support webs 6. The costs for the individual parts are also low, since the upper housing part 7 and the lower housing part 8 are injection-molded in one piece, low.
