Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for cutting or shredding paper, cardboard, microfilms or the like with a cutting device and a drive for the cutting device.
  • Cutting or shredding devices for microfilms, paper, cardboard and the like are known in various versions as so-called document shredders. For reasons of confidentiality, information carriers must be cut or shredded in due time in office and data technology. For this purpose, these devices are offered individually in different sizes in accordance with the requirements with regard to the desired strip width or the size of the chips. In general, the known devices are set to a single cutting width. A separate overall device had to be kept available for each shredding process, which leads to space problems and high acquisition costs.
  • An electrical paper tearing machine is also known (DE-A-2645284) which is provided with two or more integrated knife roller pairs of different cutting widths.
  • a separate insertion slot is provided for the knife rollers with a large cutting width and for the knife rollers with a small cutting width, and a switch for the drive motor to the various knife rollers.
  • the integrated arrangement of various knife rollers results in a high level of design effort, which also leads to high acquisition costs.
  • the known document shredders are thus consistently limited as a complete unit to one or two cutting widths once determined, which result from the distances from cutting knife to cutting knife.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device for cutting or shredding of the type described in the introduction, which in a simple, cost-saving manner enables adaptation to the required cutting width, is simple in construction and is easy to maintain and, if necessary, easy to repair .
  • the drive element is designed as an independent unit which can be connected to a supporting frame with a waste container and has a drive motor, switching element and drive pinion driven by the drive motor, that at least one cutting unit with a certain cutting width exists knife rollers, drive gear and scraper device is provided as an independent unit that can be freely connected and exchanged with the drive element, that guide means and locking means are provided for the precisely defined connection between the drive element and cutting device, the drive pinion of the drive element with the drive gear of the The cutting unit is in a force-locking operative connection.
  • the drive of the device and the cutting device are designed as complete, separate units, the cutting device being designed in the manner of a cassette, there is the possibility of exchanging cutting devices with different cutting widths with one hand and thereby changing the device to a different cutting width quick changeover.
  • the drive element as the basic element is an extremely inexpensive and one-time purchase because of the much lower manufacturing effort. Tailored to the respective needs, cutting units with different cutting widths can be provided immediately or later.
  • the drive unit or the cutting unit has pins which engage in a form-fitting manner in the associated guide and centering openings of the respective other element.
  • the locking means are designed as automatically latching pawls which can be released by hand.
  • a further improvement, in particular noise insulation, results when, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the drive element is connected to the support frame via rubber bearings and is held in a position-oriented manner by holes in the support frame.
  • the transport costs for such a device are reduced and the assembly is made easier if, according to a preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention, the supporting frame and the independent waste container are each designed to be pluggable from individual parts.
  • the support frame serves to receive the drive element and a cutting unit and in the lower frame opening, the waste container can be inserted in a positive manner.

  • Cutting knife rollers 45 are stored in maintenance-free sintered bushes.
  • a scraper device 46 which is comb-shaped and prevents cut material from wrapping around the knife rollers.
  • a clutch gearwheel 39 which is rotatably supported by a pin stop by 180 °.
  • two counter-rotating gear wheels 38 which ensure that the knife rollers 45 run synchronously with one another.
  • pawls 22 are shown rotatably mounted on the cutting unit bearing plates 41, 42, which pawls are designed in mirror image to one another.
  • the pawls 22 snap into locking openings 25 with locking lugs 26 of the bearing plates 32 and 31 and are firmly clamped by means of a tensioning lever 23 like an eccentric.
  • the cover device is shown in cross section. It preferably consists of a lower cover plate 58 and an upper cover plate 59, which are connected to one another via a hinge 60.
  • a cover frame 61 is provided, which can be placed on the support frame 3.
  • the two cover plates 58 and 59 are preferably of the same size.
  • the upper cover plate 59 can be folded outwards, as shown in broken lines, so that both cover plates together provide a sufficient storage area.
  • the lower cover plate 58 is designed to be displaceable relative to the frame 61.
  • shoulder screws 62 are used, which are arranged in elongated holes or grooves 63 of the cover frame 61.
  • Fig. 15 shows partially cut the attachment of the chassis of the drive element 1 in its housing. Between the two lower spacer bars 34 of the chassis and the housing base there are rubber grommets 47 which, as for example the part enlargement in FIG. 15 clearly shows, prevent direct contact between the chassis and the housing when the two parts are screwed together. This minimizes any noise transmission.
  • the cutting mechanism 8, which is freely suspended on the drive chassis, can therefore also not transmit any noise directly to the housing of the drive unit 1.
  • FIG. 16 shows a further measure for noise absorption, wherein rubber sleeves 49 are provided between the drive element 1 with the cutting element 8 and the support frame 3 and engage in holes 50 in the support frame 3.

  • pins can be provided on the housing of the drive unit 1 and the cover frame 61, which protrude into the rubber grommets 49. This connection fixes the elements against each other and prevents direct contact and thus noise transmission to the support frame 3, so that the operating noise of the device is kept to a minimum.
  • the support frame 3 consists of two uniform tubular steel parts 52, which can be welded together in a U-shape, and of four identical plug-in elements 51. When combined, these elements result in an extremely stable support frame, which stands on the four rollers 5. The assembly of the individual parts can be done without difficulty.
  • the fully assembled support frame 3 is shown in Fig. 18.
  • FIG. 19 shows the waste container 6 in an exploded view.
  • Four wall plates 54 are inserted into a base part 57 and the edges are connected by means of corner strips 55.
  • An upper frame 56 serves to hold the wall panels 54 and the corner strips 55 together in a form-fitting manner.
  • the waste container 6 is firmly joined together.
  • the individual parts can be joined together in a simple manner.
  • the finished assembled waste container 6 is shown in FIG. 20 and in the installed state in FIG. 21 in the support frame 3 with the steel tube parts 52 and the plug elements 51.
  • the bottom 57 advantageously has circumferential wall recesses 57 'which cooperate in a form-fitting manner with the steel tube parts 52, since the wall recesses 57' which are laid deeper inwards via the storage surface result in a lateral limitation.
  • 23 to 26 is a partially sectioned and partially a side or front view of a wiper device 46.
  • the scraper device consists of four scraper elements 68 which, in the assembled state, enclose axially center-fitting pairs of cores 70 'or 70 "of the knife roller.
  • the scraper elements 68 are designed in such a way that in a single embodiment they are turned accordingly and turning, that is, by four times the total stripping device.
  • Fig. 24 shows in partial side section again how a knife roller 72 is enclosed over its entire length.
  • the ends of the stripper element 68 carry a shoulder 74, in the exemplary embodiment shown in the form of a transverse flat wedge-shaped shoulder, the shoulder being inserted into a punched-out portion of a bearing plate 73 during assembly.
  • This ensures that a constant distance between knife roller 72 and the stripper element is ensured, so that there is no unwanted friction.
  • the distance between the two knife rollers is selected such that a feed opening 18 still remains between the stripper elements 68 for introducing the material to be shredded.
  • the design of the stripper elements 68 is such that, as can be seen from FIGS. 23 and 25, segments 71 ', 71 "of the individual knives protrude freely on both sides.
  • the Wiper element 68 Due to the appropriate design of the Wiper element 68, it is possible to prevent rotation of bearing bushes 76, in which axes 78 of the measuring rollers are mounted. This takes place in that the bearing bush 76 has two parallel side surfaces which cooperate with correspondingly designed parts of the wiper ends 75.
  • 27 to 29 show a further embodiment of the device according to the invention for use in the processing of continuous paper 65.
  • 27 shows a side view of a folded-out storage surface 64 with a support 67 snapped into it.
  • a feed bracket 66 is attached to the device in such a way that it can be sunk or folded in when not in use.
  • the continuous paper 65 is pulled by the pulling of the knife rollers over the feed bracket 66, whereby it unfolds effortlessly.
  • the storage surface 64 can be folded into the support frame 3 when not in use, so that the outer contour of the device remains smooth.
  • 29 shows, analogously, a top view and shows how the storage surface 64 can be easily attached when the support frame 3 is assembled by means of pegs 79 on both sides, which protrude into holes in the steel tube parts 52.
  • the storage surface 64 and the feed bracket 66 are attached directly to the device and can be easily moved into the working position if required.
