Definitions
- the invention relates to a space limitation, in particular inclined surfaces such as roofs of winter gardens or the like.
- a weather protection cover consisting of a cover profile arranged in front of the air outlet on the outside, which directly on its upper longitudinal edge and on its transverse edges adapted end plates indirectly with the support of the ventilation device, for. B. the room boundary is to be connected and with its lower longitudinal edge on the one hand projects beyond the lower edge region of the ventilation device and on the other hand is arranged at a distance from the outside of the room boundary.
- a space limitation of this type known from US-A 2 300 842 is arranged and designed such that it can only work as a so-called pressure differential ventilation device and therefore has only a very limited ventilation effect, which is used for rooms used as living areas, for example in winter gardens . Like., At least usually is not sufficient.
- US Pat. No. 3,877,357 already discloses as known a forced ventilator which is specifically designed for mounting on an inclined surface serving to delimit space, in particular on a roof.
- a forced ventilator which is specifically designed for mounting on an inclined surface serving to delimit space, in particular on a roof.
- Such a roof hood fan ensures sufficient air movement at all times within the rooms equipped with it.
- its overall design is such that the actual forced ventilation unit is structurally combined with the roof hood and is therefore not otherwise usable.
- the invention now aims to provide space restrictions, in particular inclined surfaces, such as roofs of conservatories or the like, in the area of openings or openings with a weather protection cover which can be easily assigned to a previously known type of fan on the inside of the roof structure.
- a forced ventilator is used as the ventilation device, which has an elongated, cuboid-shaped housing in which one or more blowers for conveying air can optionally be accommodated, that the cuboid housing inserted into the opening or the breakthrough of the space limitation projects with its upward-facing long side, which also faces upward-facing surface of the roof structure by a dimension which is sufficiently large to allow water to rise up to the upper long side of the cuboid housing, that an additional lattice or lamella construction is integrated in the upper longitudinal side of the cuboid housing, which likewise counteracts the penetration of moisture into the cuboid housing of the forced cooling fan, and that the lower longitudinal edge of the cover profile is formed on a profile flange directed essentially transversely to the outside of the space boundary, which in turn adjoins a transition profile section which is bent or bent from the main plane of the cover profile against the space limitation.
- the weather protection cover leads to an increased use value of the ventilation device.
- transition profile section is bent in a particularly advantageous manner according to the invention from the main plane of the cover profile at an obtuse angle and the profile flange in turn adjoins this at an obtuse angle.
- the upper longitudinal edge of the cover profile consists of an angle which adjoins a transition profile section which is bent or bent off from the main plane of the cover profile against the space limitation and which is at least mirror-image similar to the lower transition profile section.
- the weather protection cover preferably has a configuration in which the angle of the cover profile, with its leg directed transversely to the space limitation, bears against an adjacent longitudinal wall of the housing of the ventilation device and the end plates which detect the transverse edges of the cover profile are connected to the end plates of the housing of the ventilation device, the outside the housing of the ventilation device protrudes the contact surfaces of the angle and the end plates on the outer surface of the space boundary by an amount which corresponds to approximately one third of the maximum dimension between the outer surface of the space boundary and the inside of the cover profile.
- Fig. 1 the massive outer wall 1 of a building can be seen, which is adjoined on the outside by a winter garden 2, which can be created, for example, as a combined construction from metal profiles and glass panels inserted between them.
- the roof construction 3 of the winter garden 2 can also be created, for example as a so-called pent roof, in a combined metal / glass construction.
- a fan 4 is installed in the roof structure 3 of the winter garden 2 or the like.
- This forced fan 4 can advantageously be designed as a sound-absorbing fan, which can either optionally be operated simultaneously for ventilation and ventilation of the winter garden 2. However, if necessary, it can also be designed in such a way that heat can be recovered from the exhaust air flow when combined with ventilation.
- a forced fan 4 which has an elongated, cuboid housing.
- This cuboid housing can have a minimum length of, for example, 600 mm and a maximum length of about 3000 mm, whereby one or more blowers for air conveyance can optionally be accommodated in this.
- the cuboid housing of the forced ventilation fan 4 is inserted into an opening or a passage 5 of the oblique roof structure 3, which forms the upper space boundary of the winter garden 2 or the like, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 1.
- the arrangement of the forced ventilation fan 4 is such that its cuboid-shaped housing with its upward-facing long side projects beyond the upward-facing surface of the roof structure 3 by a dimension 6 which is sufficiently large to allow water to rise to the top when exposed to wind To meet the long side of the cuboid housing.
- a grid or lamella construction 7 is additionally integrated, which can also counter moisture penetration into the cuboid housing of the forced ventilation fan 4.
- the actual air passages of the forced ventilation fan 4 are located behind the grille or lamella construction 7.
- an additional weather protection cover 8 which is formed by a cover profile 9 and two end plates 10, is arranged in front of the grille or lamella construction 7 and the air passages of the forced ventilation fan 4.
- the cover profile 9 of the weather protection cover 8 can be connected at its upper longitudinal edge 11 directly to the support of the forced ventilation fan 4, that is to say to the roof structure 3, while one of the end plates 10, which in turn rests on the roof structure 3, engages on its two transverse edges or is connected to it.
- the cover profile 9 on the one hand projects beyond the lower edge region of the forced ventilation fan 4 by a dimension 13 which corresponds approximately to the dimension 6.
- This longitudinal edge 12 on the other hand has a distance 14 from the outside of the roof structure 3, which is dimensioned larger than the dimension 6 by which the top of the forced cooling fan 4 projects beyond the roof structure 3.
- the distance 14 can advantageously be made twice as large as the dimension 6 and approximately two thirds of the total height 15 of the weather protection cover 8 from the outside of the roof structure 3, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
- the upper longitudinal edge 11 of the cover profile 9 can consist of an angle 16, which is in turn at an obtuse angle from an out of the main plane of the cover profile 9 at an obtuse angle against the roof structure 3 or in turn at an obtuse angle a leg 18 directed transversely to the roof structure 3.
- the free leg 19 of this angle 16 is flush with the rear edge 20 of the end plates 10.
- the entire weather protection cover 8, preferably sealed, can be connected to the roof structure 3 via the flange 19 of the cover profile 9 and the edge edges 20 of the end plates 10.
- a fixed connection to the cuboid housing of the forced ventilation fan 4 can also be established via the profile flange 18 of the angle 16, preferably with the interposition of a sealing packing 21, as is indicated in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
- the lower longitudinal edge 12 of the cover profile 9 is formed on a profile flange 22 directed essentially transversely to the outside of the roof structure 3, which in turn adjoins a transition profile section 23 which is bent or bent from the main plane of the cover profile 9 against the roof structure 3.
- the transition profile section 23 extends essentially as a mirror image of the transition profile section 17, i.e. it is kinked at an obtuse angle from the main plane of the cover profile 9, the profile flange 22 again joining it at an obtuse angle.
- the forced ventilator 4 can have a previously known design, for example it can be designed as a sound insulation ventilator, and allow an optional ventilation or venting operation.
- a design for simultaneous ventilation is also possible, in which case it may be advantageous to work with heat recovery from the exhaust air flow in order to preheat the supply air flow accordingly.
