  • the refractory lining 8 can be constituted by a set of fibrous refractory layers, providing good thermal insulation of the ingot mold and satisfactorily avoiding untimely heating of the cover 7.
  • a coating left naked generates during its rise in temperature a gaseous release, mainly carbonaceous, which can be harmful to personnel and annoying for the proper functioning of the installation. In particular, it can disrupt the operation of metal level measuring devices optically.
