Definitions
- the invention relates to a holder for draping curtains and for fastening to a wall or the like. According to the preamble of claim 1 and an arrangement of at least two horizontally spaced holders for draping curtains. The invention further relates to a method for draping curtains, according to the preamble of claim 17.
- a curtain is draped around window or door openings for decorative purposes or to cover certain areas.
- the curtain fabric is usually folded into a beam-like bundle (zigzag folding or meander folding) and placed over two holders arranged horizontally above the window or door, as is the case, for example, in EP-A-0 265 759 which forms the prior art on which the invention is based.
- the curtain is then pulled apart in certain areas in accordance with the optical impression to be achieved, and in the embodiment according to EP-A-0 265 759 is pulled through the wall-mounted, U- or C-shaped front elements of the holders and draped into a fabric rosette.
- a so-called draping curve is created between the two holders by pulling the lower part of the curtain fabric downwards, forming folds in the shape of a segment of a circle.
- the object of the holder according to the invention and the arrangement according to the invention is to expand the variation in draping curtain fabric in the simplest and fastest possible way. It is also an object of the invention to provide a corresponding method for draping a curtain.
- the holder according to the invention achieves the object by the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the recesses according to the invention already dictate a specific drape when the curtain material is inserted into the holder or its recesses. Subsequent, additional fold pulling is made considerably easier, the draping possibility being considerably expanded in comparison to the known holder.
- the holder is preferably characterized in that it is designed in the form of a hook which can be fastened to and protrudes from the wall and has substantially U-shaped sections which extend and are connected to one another in a plane, the (rear) U section near the wall being a rear section and the (U) section remote from the wall has a front recess define.
- Bundles of curtain fabrics placed in such a holder advantageously lie one behind the other, so that one bundle can simultaneously form a visible edge for the other bundle.
- the arrangement according to the invention solves the task in a corresponding manner in that the holders each have at least two, but preferably a plurality of recesses, depressions or the like.
- very wide or several curtain bundles can be draped quickly and easily in this way.
- this also applies to individual curtain bundles of normal width. In all cases, a precise and appealing drape can be achieved.
- the method according to the invention for draping curtains is particularly suitable using at least two holders according to one of claims 1 to 14 or an arrangement of holders according to claim 15 or 16.
- the curtain fabric is folded into a beam-like bundle, especially in a zigzag or meander fold.
- a bundle is then inserted into the recesses (U sections), so that a sag arises between the holders and the bundle parts hang down on the outside.
- a further bundle is then inserted in the same way into the respective second recesses (U sections), this front bundle, for example, not or only partially covering the rear bundle.
- the bundles mentioned can each be part of the same curtain or folded from different curtains, e.g. B. from different colored curtains. Depending on the effect to be achieved, the bundle can also be inserted into the front recesses.
- a holder 10 according to the invention for draping curtains 11 is provided for attachment to a wall 12.
- Fig. 1 shows the holder 10 without a curtain.
- the side view 2 of the holder 10 shows U sections 14, 15 connected to one another by a head bend 13.
- a leg 16 near the wall of the U section 14 remote from the wall goes into the head bend 13 and from there into a leg 17 remote from the wall of the U section 15 near the wall about.
- the lower areas of the U-sections 14, 15 are designated as foot arches 18 and 19, respectively.
- a leg remote from the arch 18 of the U section 14 remote from the wall bears the reference number 20
- Leg 21 provided in continuation of the arch 19.
- the leg 21 merges into an angle 22, namely into a horizontal transverse web 23. This is followed by a vertical high web 24, which has holes 27, 28 for fastening to the wall 12 by means of screws 25, 26.
- a cover in the form of a rosette 29 is provided on the free leg 20 of the U section 14 remote from the wall. This is approximately circular, oriented almost parallel to the leg 20 and serves as a decorative cover for the holder 10 and, as a continuation of the leg 20 upwards, also serves as a side boundary for a curtain 11 inserted in the holder 10.
- the holder 10 is preferably made of a flat ribbon, e.g. B. Shaped steel with a rectangular cross section. It is also possible to manufacture it as a cast part from castable material. The cross section can be seen particularly well in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the holder 10 shown there is shown without a rosette 29. Otherwise, this would cover the view of the important details in this context.
- the curtain 11 is provided as a frame for a window or door opening. For this purpose, a total of 2 holders, namely one on the left and one on the right above the opening, are arranged. 5 shows the left holder. The curtain 11 inserted into the holder 10 falls down freely on the left side of the holder 10. On the right side of the holder 10, the process 11 extends to the right holder (not shown in FIG. 5) and further down from it towards the floor.
- the curtain 11 is folded into a beam-like bundle (zigzag folding or meandering folding) and is bundled into the holder 10.
- An attempt is made to achieve a visually particularly appealing drape.
- 5 part of the folded curtain fabric is inserted into the front U section 14 facing away from the wall and another part is inserted into the rear U section 15 near the wall.
- the folds 30, 31, 32 resulting from the bundling are drawn as thin lines in FIG. 5. Due to the different heights of the foot arches 18, 19 there is a particularly wide drapery sheet 33 of the curtain 11 to the right of the holder 10.
- the designation width refers to the distance between an upper edge 34 and a lower edge 35 of the curtain 11.
- FIG. 2 shows a further embodiment of the holder 10 in a top view from above.
- the holder 10 extends essentially in a plane that emerges from the wall plane and is perpendicular to it and preferably vertical.
- the holder 10 is arranged at an angle (angle ⁇ ).
- the U-sections 14, 15 and the transverse web 23 extend in a vertical plane emerging from the wall plane, which is at the same time angled by an angle of approximately 30 ° with respect to a vertical plane perpendicular to the wall plane.
- the head bend 13 is aligned in the same way with the U sections 14, 15.
- the web 24, the legs 21, 17, 16, 20 and the rosette 29 are aligned parallel to the wall.
- the holder 10 is angled in FIG. 3. There, only the high web 24 and the leg 20 furthest from the wall are aligned parallel to the wall 12, while the legs 16, 17, 21 are not angled relative to the foot arches 18, 19 or the head arch 13.
- FIG. 6 shows the particular advantages of the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3. Also in FIG. 6, the arch 19 close to the wall is lower than the arch 18 remote from the wall. Accordingly, the mere insertion of the curtain 11 into the holder 10 results an optically visible division of the curtain with a corresponding drapery and corresponding width between the edges 34 and 35. The previously described bending by the angle ⁇ of approximately 30 ° results in a similar effect also on the left side of the holder 10. The bow to the not shown extending curtain appears much wider in FIG. 6 than in FIG. 5. The lower curtain bundle 36 is much wider in FIG. 6 to the left of the holder 10 than in FIG. 5, since the front, upper curtain bundle 37 in FIG 6 covers a much smaller part than in FIG.
- a further curtain bundle is indicated by the dashed line 38 in FIG. 6, which is additionally placed in the U section 15 near the wall on the lower curtain bundle 36. Either it is a third of a larger curtain or another third curtain, e.g. B. in a different color.
- the top arch 13 is higher than the crosspiece 23.
- the legs 16 and 21 are of equal length. If the leg 20 does not reach the top of the arch 13, the rosette 29 extends at least up to this height.
- the rosette 29 is connected to the leg 20 by gluing, riveting or the like.
- FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the holder 10 according to the invention.
- a special end piece 39 is provided. This consists of an approximately U-shaped flat ribbon made of metal or the like.
- the individual legs 40, 41 can be resiliently bent apart and are bent outwards at their upper ends 42, 43.
- the legs 40, 41 extend in a plane approximately parallel to the wall surface.
- the end piece 39 is welded, glued, riveted, soldered or the like to the leg 20 in the region of an L-shaped bend 44 of the leg 20.
- a part of the curtain material of the curtain 11 inserted into the holder 10 according to FIG. 4 is between the two legs 40, 41 pulled through and draped in a visually appealing manner so that the holder 10 is covered as possible.
- Fig. 4 shows another special feature.
- the top bow 13 is namely provided lower than the crosspiece 23, in contrast to FIG. 3. This is particularly advantageous if less curtain material is inserted into the U section 14 remote from the wall than in the U section 15 close to the wall.
- the bores 27, 28 are formed as elongated holes in FIG. 4, for easier height adjustment of the holder 10.
- the holder according to FIG. 4 like the holder according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, can be both angled and non-angled.
- the bend is always directed outwards, i.e. H. facing away from the door or window opening.
- the curtain fabric is folded into a beam-like bundle.
- a one-piece curtain it is completely inserted into the holder 10, one half of which comes to rest in one of the U sections 14, 15.
- two separate curtain parts one is first inserted into the respective rear U-sections 15, so that a sag (draping bow 33) is created between the holders and curtain parts hang down on the outside.
- a curtain part is inserted in the same way in the respective front U-sections 14, this front curtain part (curtain bundle 37) not or only partially covering the rear curtain part (curtain bundle 36).
- the order in which the individual curtain parts are inserted can also be reversed.
- a specific drape is predefined by the separate U-sections 14, 15 or separate curtain parts can be draped separately from one another.
- the draping process as a whole is made easier and faster.
- holders 10 which, in accordance with FIG. 7, each have only a single recess 14 which is open at the top in the mounted state, preferably directly behind or following the rosette 29 or - as in FIG. 7 shown - behind the C-shaped end piece 39.
