Abstract
Description
4 entsprechenden Art.The invention relates to a method and a system of the type corresponding to the preamble of claims 1 and 4, respectively.
Such a method and such a system are known from DE-AS 16 35 004. The carpet web is passed through the basin of a foulard, which is filled with wetting agent, squeezed in a defined manner and then immediately provided with an application of a dyeing liquid.
The starting point of the invention has been problems which have arisen in the past years during the pretreatment and subsequent dyeing of tufted carpet webs according to the described prior art. In order to increase the service life of the tufting needles in the ever faster tufting machines, ever larger amounts of finishing agents or spinning oils are applied to the fibers. The finishing agents and spinning oils are used, among other things, as lubricants for tufting the carpets. These finishing agents and spinning oils sit on the carpet and in the conventional dyeing process very often result in uneven dye fixation and thus cloudiness and gray haze on the colored carpet. In foam dyeing, among other things, the foam has the effect of staining the tips of the fibers particularly well and thus avoiding gray haze and cloudy conditions. The finishing agents and spinning oils on the carpet strip destroy the coloring foam in the damper and a cloudy color is created again.
It is not only the amount of finishing agents or spinning oils, but also their type that causes problems. The price of such aids per kilogram of goods treated naturally plays a major role. This is why inexpensive finishing agents are often applied to the fibers, which still do their job during the tufting process, but which then cause great problems for the dyer.
Es ergeben sich Ungleichheiten beim Teppichfärben "links-Mitte-rechts".Storage of the tufted carpet raw material (4 m to 5 wide rolls) over a long period of time causes, among other things, that the finishing agents and spinning oils change on the edges opposite the center of the carpet and their influence on the color changes due to the dampening and re-drying of the carpet edges can impact. There are inequalities in carpet dyeing "left-center-right".
If a pretreatment is now carried out in the foulard, as is the case in DE-AS 16 35 004, avivage and spinning oils accumulate in the trough of the foulard, which are then carried away irregularly by the carpet web and disturb the coloring. Effective removal of stubborn application agents such as the finishing agents and spinning oils mentioned cannot be achieved with the known procedure.
The invention has for its object to improve a generic pretreatment of a web-like textile having a pole.
This object is achieved by the invention reproduced in claim 1.
Due to the special type of application while passing through a vertical gap, the web only comes into contact with a constantly renewed and comparatively small amount of a pretreatment agent. Without continuous re-feeding of the pretreatment agent into the gap, as is practiced in the invention, the amount present in the gap would be used up in a few seconds. In such a small amount of liquid, which is renewed again and again in such a short time, no harmful amounts of chemicals originating from previous treatment stages, for example finishing agents and spinning oils, can accumulate, unlike in larger baths, such as those in the trough of a foulard or else can be found in a roller skate.
Since the chemicals, especially the finishing agents and spinning oils, usually resist easy removal, the pretreatment agent should have a certain time to be able to act. If the pretreatment agent is a rinsing agent, it can dissolve chemicals present on the web during the dwell time and also penetrate well between the fibers, so that the textile material is thoroughly prepared for the action of the dyeing liquid applied later.
The invention does not consist in the pretreatment or prewashing of a carpet web itself, but in a special type of application of the pretreatment agent in which the web only comes into contact with a small supply of the pretreatment agent comes, and a subsequent dwell to promote the action of the pretreatment agent so applied. The pretreatment agent can be a rinsing agent in order to remove chemicals present on the web from previous production stages, for example the finishing agents and spinning oils mentioned, but it is also possible to apply other pretreatment agents.
It has been shown that e.g. dwell times of 30 seconds to 90 seconds are expedient for dissolving and then thoroughly removing chemicals present on the web, such as finishing agents and spinning oils (claim 2).
In many continuous dyeing machines there is a pre-damper as the first machine, in which the textile material is prepared for dyeing and wrinkle marks that have arisen from storage are to be removed. The removal of wrinkle marks is not particularly successful when steaming dry goods.
If, however, the web is steamed after dewatering and before dyeing (claim 3) in the procedure according to the invention, a damp product comes into the damper, whereby the wrinkle removal is much better and the goods get a particularly nice bulk.
In terms of the device, the invention is set out in claims 4 to 7.
The application device forming the first part of the system with a vertical gap closed at the bottom, through which the web is guided from top to bottom, is known per se from FR-PS 1 381 081.
The air passage resulting in the dwell phase can be designed in the manner set out in claim 5, while the dewatering device according to claim 6 is expediently formed by a suction gap, because this places less strain on the fiber structure of the pole.
The steamer downstream of the dewatering device according to FIG. 7, as already mentioned, improves the quality of the goods and prepares them for the subsequent dyeing.
Although the invention is not limited to this, the preferred mode of operation is nevertheless to work entirely in the continuous process and to subject the fabric web to the coloring immediately after leaving the damper.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. It shows a side view of a carpet pretreatment system.
The system, designated as a whole by 100, is used for the pretreatment of a
The application device A comprises a vertical gap 2, which extends over the width of the
The material web then arrives in the dewatering device C, which comprises a suction device 13, which consists of a suction pipe 14 arranged under a horizontal web section and a
A carpet material with a tufted pole made of nylon 6.6 and a fleece backing, which has a fabric weight of 700 g / m², serves as a working example.
In application device A, an aqueous pretreatment agent with a chemical content of 0.5 gr / L of detergents and wetting agents is applied in an application amount of approx. 400% of the dry goods.
The web then remains in air passage B for about 1 minute. After the suction device, it has a residual moisture of approx. 50%. With this residual moisture, it runs into the damper D, in which it also lingers for about 1 minute. The subsequent dyeing and fixing results in a carpet web without cloudiness and without a gray haze.
