Definitions

  • the invention relates to a waste collecting container with an upper lid and a lower part which can be closed by means of the lid, an insert being arranged in the lower part at a distance from the bottom thereof.
  • waste was disposed of by collecting the waste or garbage in the simplest containers (garbage cans) and transporting them in an unsorted manner.
  • waste collection containers which are adapted in particular to the respective disposal or refuse collection vehicles in order to enable the containers to be emptied at least partially automatically.
  • waste collection containers have been developed for some types of raw materials, for example for collecting waste paper, waste glass or similar.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a waste collection container of the type mentioned, which is suitable for collection and composting of compostable waste with a simple structure and reliable operation and which is at least partially automated emptied into disposal vehicles.
  • the object is achieved in that a shaft-like ventilation element connected to the space formed by the bottom of the lower part and the shelf is provided on at least one inner wall of the lower part.
  • the collecting container according to the invention is characterized by a number of considerable advantages. Since the shelf and now also the ventilation element prevent the compostable waste lying directly against the walls of the container and thus allowing air circulation, the compostable waste can be accumulated in the collecting container over a longer period of time. Composting is already taking place during this period, so that it is possible to empty the collecting container at longer intervals. This is an important advantage, since in many cases the amount of waste generated is not so large that weekly emptying of the collection containers would be justifiable for economic reasons.
  • the container according to the invention thus allows the temporarily store compostable waste in such a way that no odor nuisance occurs, especially in warm seasons, and that hygiene requirements are met.
  • the collecting container according to the invention can be designed in any way with regard to its outer structure, it is possible to use standardized collecting containers which are designed with regard to their outer dimensions so that they can be emptied at least partially automatically by conventional disposal vehicles. So can For example, collecting containers with corresponding wheels are used, it is also possible to design the collecting containers in different sizes, for example in the form of containers or in the form of smaller waste containers.
  • the cover has ventilation devices. Adequate ventilation of the interior is thus ensured not only by the shelf and the ventilation element, but also by means of the cover.
  • the ventilation technology provided according to the invention ensures that a constant air supply or air discharge is possible, which prevents rotting too quickly, avoids unpleasant odors and allows evolving, foul-smelling waste water to evaporate, so that the collecting container can also be set up in conventional waste collection rooms.
  • the ventilation element is provided with nose-like projections which protrude into the interior of the lower part and on the lower sides of which first air openings are arranged.
  • the nose-like projections lead to the fact that the air openings extend into a part of its interior when the collecting container is filled in order to also sufficiently subject the central volume regions to a composting process. Furthermore, it is ensured by the nose-like projections that the emptying process of the collecting container is not impaired, since the composted ingredients can slide along the side of the collecting container not provided with the ventilation element, while detaching from the projections when the collecting container is tilted.
  • the top of the projection is inclined at a relatively small angle to the vertical, while the bottom has a relatively large angle of inclination.
  • the respective wall of the lower part provided with the ventilation element is designed with second air openings pointing to the surroundings, through which further air can enter or exit.
  • the first ventilation openings or air openings in the projections of the ventilation element are preferably designed in the form of a plurality of mutually parallel slots which are designed in such a way that they cannot be clogged by waste when emptying. However, it is also possible to make appropriate ventilation holes.
  • a lid with recesses is preferably arranged on the lid, which catches the water that has entered through the openings or openings in the lid and drains it away so that it does not get into the interior of the container.
  • the large air holes in the inner cover let the air flow easily pass through the inner cover. Condensates that form on the inner surface of the outer lid are thus drained off because they flow outwards via the container rim.
  • the inner surface of the outer cover has dissipation ribs which are offset from the convection bores of the inner cover and are arranged as drip-off lugs between the air domes of the inner cover.
  • the shelf is advantageously rib-like and in particular has recesses on the lower rib areas, so that the water in the waste can run unimpeded into the space below the shelf.
  • further development of the invention provides that the space formed by the shelf is connected to the interior of the ventilation element, so that the air circulation can be increased.
  • the space formed by the shelf is provided with a liquid outlet opening opening into the lower part.
  • the cover is advantageously provided with means for collecting and / or draining water, for example by means of a suitable rib structure or by appropriate arrangement of the openings.
  • the openings of the container pointing towards the environment are equipped with means for preventing the entry of insects or other animals, for example by a corresponding reduction in diameter of the openings or by additional grids or the like.
  • the collecting container according to the invention thus represents a permanent solution with regard to the collection and emptying of the compostable waste, the foul-smelling waste water which arises during the intermediate storage can evaporate in good time, but they are separated from the waste in any case so that no odor nuisance occurs.
  • the collecting container can preferably be provided with a rectangular or square cross section, but it is also possible to use round container cross sections.
  • the ribs of the shelf are fanned out and are turned upwards with narrow, conical profile sides and have relatively small spacing ribs with respect to the bottom of the container, the ribs having water-permeable channels on their hollow side. Because the ribs of the shelf are connected to the interior of the ventilation element are and are shaped so that they rise towards the ventilation element, the natural convection of the air is favored.
  • the cover it is also possible to provide appropriate vents on its peripheral area, i.e. to profile the edge of the cover.
  • the hinge of the lid can also be provided with a larger play to ensure an even support of the lid and to prevent unwanted insects from entering.
  • the waste collection container according to the invention comprises a lid 1 and a lower part 2, which can be designed in the form of a conventional garbage can.
  • the lower part 2 has, for example, wheels 19 which facilitate a method and handling and grip devices (not shown in detail).
  • a shelf 4 is placed on its bottom 3, which will be described in particular in connection with FIGS. 2 to 4.
  • the shelf 4 forms with the bottom 3 of the lower part 2 an intermediate space 16 which merges into an interior space 17 which is formed by a ventilation element 5 which is arranged on an inner wall of the container.
  • the venting element 5 has a plurality of nose-like projections 7, the upper side 9 of which is inclined at a flatter angle to the vertical than the lower side 10, which is provided with first air openings 8. These are as in Fig. 5 shown, essentially slit-like. Otherwise, the ventilation element is described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 9 to 12.
  • a plurality of cleaning elements 12 are arranged in the interior 17 of the ventilation element 5, each of which is, for example, comb-shaped and are coupled to one another via a rod 20.
  • the cleaning elements 12 can be moved relative to the ventilation element 5, for example by means of a handle 21 arranged on the upper region of the rod 20. By moving the rod 20, the cleaning elements 12 penetrate into the air openings 8 and free them of waste materials.
  • the lid 1 has ventilation devices 6, for example in the form of circular recesses.
  • an inside cover 13 Arranged on the inside of the cover 1 is an inside cover 13 which, as shown in FIG. 6, is provided with ribs, holes or recesses 22 being provided on the upper vertices thereof.
  • the rainwater entering through the recesses 6 is thus collected by the inner cover 13 and can be discharged to the outside at the edge region 23 of the cover by suitable recesses in the edge.
  • the shelf 4 has a channel-shaped outlet 24, which has the shape of a spout.
  • the outlet 24 can be designed in such a way that first the contents of the lower part 2 and subsequently the water can be removed from the intermediate space 16.
  • FIG. 7 and 8 show different configurations of the cover 1, FIG. 7 showing a shape which essentially corresponds to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and which preferably requires an inner cover 13 to discharge rainwater and condensed liquid which has entered.
  • the embodiment shown in Fig. 8 has a plurality of ribs, in which the ventilation recesses 6 are each arranged at the apex of the ribs, so that the likelihood that rainwater that has collected on the surface of the lid 1 will enter the container is very high is low. Rather, the water will collect in the valleys of the ribs and run off to the side.
  • FIG. 9 to 12 show detailed views of the venting element 5, a side view of the projection 7 being shown in FIG. 10, from which the different inclinations of the upper side 9 and the lower side 10 can be seen again.
  • FIG. 12 shows a side view or top view of the ventilation element and clarifies in detail the arrangement of the first air openings 8.
  • FIG. 9 shows a sectional view along the line IX-IX of FIG. 11, while FIG. 11 shows a sectional view along line XI-XI of FIG. 12.
  • Fig. 1 again illustrates the size and arrangement of the air openings 8, while it can be seen from Fig. 9 that the underside 10 of the projection 7 is formed in a groove shape to make it difficult for waste materials to penetrate into the first air openings 8.
  • the nose-shaped projection 7 has smooth ribs raised in the direction of emptying, while the ventilation slots or bores in the recessed areas are arranged. This prevents the recesses from being added by the material in the container, in particular when the container is being filled or emptied.
  • second air openings 11 are arranged on the rear wall of the collecting container shown in FIG. 1, which can be closed, for example, by means of an insect screen.
  • the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown, rather there are various modification and modification possibilities for the person skilled in the art.
