Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toe piece according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the rotatable sole holding-down device is adapted in its height to the respective sole thickness by means of a threaded bolt.
  • the housing of this front jaw consists of a spring housing receiving a release spring and a support body attached to it.
  • the sole retainer is held in its middle position by means of an elastic block made of rubber or plastic, which block is located between the support body and the sole retainer. the sole retainer is returned to its central position after a lateral deflection.
  • the block made of rubber or plastic has a relatively large volume due to sufficient elasticity, as a result of which the jaws become unnecessarily large.
  • this configuration of a return spring in a toe piece according to the company's internal state of the art cannot be used, because the automatic adjustment of the sole hold-down causes the rubber block to undergo deformation in the driving position and therefore not good, which can generate the return force calculated from the outset.
  • the invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages of the known solutions and to create a toe in which the sole hold-down device can be rotated relative to the shoe housing and reliably returns to its central position after a fall, even if the sole hold-down device is operated by a Spring loaded, can be adapted to different soles of shoes.
  • this object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of this claim.
  • the return spring as a U-shaped curved leaf or wire spring, the spring force can be dimensioned so strong that after a lateral deflection of the sole hold-down its central position is reliably achieved.
  • the power transmission from the sole hold-down device to the return spring is improved, since both sections of the spring separated from one another by the deflection come into effect on the sole hold-down device in the event of a fall.
  • a space-saving arrangement can be achieved compared to a rubber block.
  • the measure of claim 2 enables the spring characteristic to be adapted to the desired restoring force.
  • the subject matter of claim 3 facilitates the accommodation of the wire spring and its support in the housing.
  • the subject matter of claim 4 also aims in this direction.
  • the measure of claim 5 makes it possible that the centering effect of the wire spring is retained even when the sole hold-down device moves axially upward, and that the wire spring supports the compression spring for the automatic height adjustment of the sole hold-down device in its effect.
  • the compression spring for the automatic height adjustment can therefore be dimensioned weaker.
  • FIG. 1 is a vertical longitudinal central section through the front jaw and Fig. 2 is a corresponding plan view, partly in section along the line II - II in Fig. 1, without a ski boot inserted.
  • Fig. 3 shows a representation similar to Fig. 1, but with the ski boot inserted.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates a top view of the front jaws similar to FIG. 2; however, the sole hold-down device is deflected according to FIG. 4. 5 to 7, the return spring is shown in front view, in side view and in plan view.
  • Fig. 8 shows a leaf spring in the diagram.
  • the front jaw according to the invention is designated 1 in its entirety. It has a housing 2 which is fastened to the upper side 4a of a ski 4 by means of screws 3. An approximately right-angled slide 5 is guided in the longitudinal direction of the ski in the housing 2 in a recess 2a.
  • the slider 5 is riveted to a tie rod 6 which passes through a compression spring 7 and carries a thread 6a at its free end.
  • the pull rod 6 is guided in a bore 2c of a stepped transverse wall 2b of the housing 2, on which the compression spring 7 is supported at one end.
  • the bias of the compression spring 7 can be adjusted by means of a threaded sleeve 8 which is screwed onto the thread 6a of the pull rod 6. On the threaded sleeve 8 sits a sleeve 9, which performs the function of a spring plate and at the same time serves to indicate the size of the bias of the compression spring 7, which bias can be read in window 2h.
  • the housing 2 is fork-shaped in a side view, the lower fork tine 2d being longer than the upper fork tine 2e. Furthermore, the transverse wall 2b of the housing 2 has, in its upper region facing the ski boot 16, a shoulder 2f in which a prismatic recess 2g with a trapezoidal cross section is provided, the purpose of which will be explained later.
  • a groove 13b is cut out, which is essentially V-shaped in cross-section, the boundary walls of the groove 13b being interrupted for manufacturing reasons.
  • an approximately U-shaped wire spring 14 serving for resetting the sole holding-down device 13 is inserted with its web 14a (see FIGS. 5-7).
  • This web 14a is divided into two sections 14c and 14d by, for example, a semicircular bend 14b.
  • the two legs 14e and 14f of the wire spring 14 are bent upward in their central region at an obtuse angle ⁇ , the two ends 14g and 14h of the two legs 14e and 14f being bent 90 o to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the wire spring 14.
  • the wire spring 14 is inserted by means of its two legs 14e and 14f into the recess 2g in the neck 2f of the transverse wall 2b of the housing 2, that the legs 14e and 14f rest on supporting surfaces 2f1 and 2f2 of the neck 2f and ⁇ with them at an obtuse angle angled areas are supported on the underside of the upper fork 2e of the housing 2 and on the transverse wall 2b. Damage to the housing 2 is prevented by the ends 14g and 14h of the two legs 14e and 14f.
  • the wire spring 14 In the travel position, the wire spring 14 is in the position shown in FIGS. 1-3, in which the sole hold-down device 13 is in the middle position. If the sole hold-down device 13 is now deflected when the skier falls, as shown in FIG. 4, both sections 14c and 14d of the web 14a of the wire spring 14 are somewhat deformed by the base of the groove 13b of the sole hold-down device 13. This load is divided between both sections 14c and 14d of the wire spring 14, which reduces the stresses in the wire spring.
  • the compression spring 15 has the purpose of automatically adapting the position of the sole holding-down device 13 to ski shoe soles of different heights, with any snow residues on the sole of the ski shoe being compensated at the same time.
  • the wire spring 14 is also designed to support the function of the compression spring 15, so that the latter - provided the same conditions - can be dimensioned weaker than if only one compression spring is used alone.
  • the embodiment of the return spring shown in FIG. 8 is designed as a leaf spring 17, which can be used in particular with sole hold-down devices that cannot be automatically adjusted.
  • the arrangement of this leaf spring 17 has the advantage that no special configuration of the support surface on the sole hold-down is required.
  • the housing can be composed of a support body which receives the axles or the bolts and a housing for the compression spring.
